This paper examine whether there is any regional disparity of office markets of 8 city areas in Japan, or not. At first we show lagged effects between rents and vacancy rate of the offices by the Almon Lag Model, and then we induce office market structure, so as to identify structural difference between city areas. And then we classify 8 areas into two groups. The first group market is active to the demand in short term, and the other group is semi-static and semi-closed. But both groups have a three or four years delayed-market -balance system. We also examine the growth factors of the office markets by using Shift-Share analysis. We clarify the existence of regional disparity in office markets.

This research deals with the traffic accident of intersection in the case of Korea expressway. The purpose of this research is to analyze the hazardous locations and to clarify the reasons why they are dangerous. In pursuing the above, 195 intersections are classified into various types; the freeway traffic accident records from September 1, 1998. to December 31, 2003. are collected; the geometric structures (interchange angles, the number of lanes, radii of curvature, and grades) are investigated; and the nationwide freeway traffic volume are calculated by the freeway origin destination survey to construct the base of the research materials.From these collected materials, this research is advanced into a close examination of hazardous intersections and connecting roads, hence producing a various meaningful results. The main research results are as follows. This research exhibits the data of the hazardous intersections and connecting roads which are closely examined by applying the upper limit control. Based on the significance probability of 99.5%, the hazardous intersections are found to be 13 intersections including 'Kyung-Ju interchange'. Moreover, in the case of connecting roads, 10 hazardous intersections are found including ‘East Kwang-Ju No.2’ connecting road. Meanwhile, it can be decided as the special characteristics of hazardous intersection if the angle of intersection is big, and has many lanes of connecting roads. The hazardous connection roads have a small radius of curvature, a large grade, and a low traffic volume despite many lanes.

본 논문은 분권자치시대의 지역주의를 신지역주의로 간주하면서 그 양상과 쟁점을 분석하고자 한다. 글은 크게 세 가지로 구성된다. 첫째, 지역과 지역주의를 개방적으로 바라보기 위해서 오늘날 지역과 지역주의가 어떻게 성격 규정해야 하는 지를 이론적으로 살펴본다. 둘째, 지방자치란 권력 작용체계는 어떠한 특징을 가지고 있고, 그에 따라 나타나는 지역주의는 어떠한 현상적 특성을 가지고 있는 살펴본다. 셋째, 자치시대 지역주의가 그 지역의 장소적 특성을 반영한다면, 이는 지방이란 권력공간 내에서 지방자치단체, 주민, 기업이란 주체들 간의 역학관계 반영한다는 전제에서, 지방민주주의와 관련하여 그 쟁점을 살펴본다.
This paper attempts at identifying the features and issues of new regionalism that emerges in the era of local self-governance. The paper is organized as follows. First, it makes a theoretical overview on how we have to define today's region and regionalism by interpreting them from another angle. Second, it examines how Korea's local self-governance system works, while creating regionalism fitting a local setting. Third, with a view that regionalism in an era of local self-governance tends to reflect a regional locality, it tries to dissect interaction among local authorities, local residents and private firms in a locality and its association with local democracy.

This paper aims to investigate the role of non-profit organization as a crucial agent in the process of the touristic placemaking. Higashiyama in Kanazawa City, Japan is examined in detail as a case study. NPOs such as 'Association of Old ShopLiteratureRomance(老文ロマンの町を考える)' and 'Higashiyama Placemaking Association(金東山まちづくり協議)' 'Higashiyama Culture Conservation Association(東山ひがしの町みと文化を守る)' are not only capable of raising awareness of crucial regional issues, but also able to provide alternatives and produce public goods and services. In addition They function as a mediator of conflicts in tourism development. By analyzing this way, the paper draws implications on whether 'the touristic placemaking' is possible in Korea, especially on the role of NPOs as an agent of placemaking

The Purpose of this study is to formulate the differential strategy of local government for a successful regional festival. Under a premise that the subdivided market strategy by traits of the type of festival is significant, the study empirically tested the reciprocal relations among key variables including participation motive, satisfaction, performance, action intention, and so forth by the type of festival. Especially, the study can analyze six regional festivals using cross-sectional analysis to resolve the limitations of on case analysis and to enhance the generalizability of research findings. The findings show that it is necessary for local government to identify key motives to visit regional festivals and to differentiate the planning of festival because a motive to visit is various by the type of festival.
통행분석을 통한 서울시 지하철 역세권에서의 TOD적용 가능지역 연구

In reducing urban transportation and environmental problem, application of TOD (transit oriented development) is very useful in catchment area of subway for constant requests on the urban development plan and consideration of subway utilization rate for its. But, a little research on the choose of catchment area of subway that was applied TOD has been worked.Therefore, this study is aim in grasp of TOD possibility area with Seoul subway stations of 262. It was first targets in subway station that automobile share rate is more high than subway share rate, and we turned out travelling quantity by administrative-dong and ability in first targets. From this analysis, it was chose 52 stations in 1st TOD possibility areas, and we finally selected Song-pa and Si-heung stations by analysis of number of population and employer. This study presents application possibility areas of TOD as constant development method in Seoul. As this result presented, we expect that it is helped in solution for city problem that are caused from present development method and in provision for prior policy of future public transportation.

There has been somewhat vehement dispute among so-called radical ecologies, especially between social ecology and deep ecology, on allegedly eco-fascist and misanthropic tendencies found in a number of writings and words of some deep ecological scholars and activists. For social ecologists, being led by Murray Bookchin, the founder of social ecology, deep ecology adheres to the same reactionary, antihumanistic, romantic, and irrational assumptions that presaged National Socialism and that are discernable in the work of Heidegger, the former Nazi. I think that social ecologists' attacks on deep ecology are largely unfair. But, it seems that we may get a very precious lesson from the dispute. Confronting the era of ecological crisis, we are apt to appeal to authoritarian measures to overcome it. To avoid such danger, we must do thoughtful self-examination and close listening to the criticism before jumping to hasty conclusions.
