We investigated the distribution patterns of creative industries by using SLQ technique, and the intra urban spillover effects of them with the RCM (random coefficient matrix) model in seven metropolitan cities in Korea. The research drew conclusion that the distribution patterns of eleven creative sectors in cities, software sectors are concentrated in the Seoul Region and R&D sectors are clustered in the Daejeon Region. The production inducement effects of creative sectors were the largest in Seoul, due to the creative sectors that are clustered in the Seoul Region, and the value added inducement effects are great and does not show any significant differences among the metropolitan cities. The labor inducement effects of creative sectors are small because even though the creative human resources are primary production factor in them, they use less intermediate inputs produced by other industries when compared with other industries.

This study analyzed the road infrastructure of North Korea through big data analysis. Google Distance Matrix API was used to crawling data. Based on the collected data, the Shimbel index was calculated and the spatial autocorrelation was examined. The results of autocorrelation analysis showed that the road infrastructure of North Korea has spatially clustered. Result of hot spot analysis, Pyongyang and Hwanghae province has good road infrastructure but Chagang has poor. Finally, the condition of road infrastructure was visualized through Kernel Density Estimation. It is interesting that the development of a specialized zone in North Korea does not affect the surrounding area. This study suggests a new direction of North Korean spatial research using a differentiated method. It suggests the possibility of application to accessibility research not only in North Korea but also in other developing countries.

This study was carried out to assess the development effect of innovation cities quantitatively and empirically. In this study, the results of innovation cities were identified in four aspects: population, land price increase and industrial structure, and changes in per capita income of local people. Between 2008 and 2018, the center of population moved towards the Seoul metropolitan area, the center of population in each parent city moved toward the innovation cities, and the surrounding area was found to have little impact. In terms of land prices, land prices in innovation cities have risen relatively compared to those in the surrounding areas, but the portion of land area owned by the original residents was only half that of the surrounding cities. This means that residents who live outside the city took the capital gain on land. Despite the relocation of public institutions, there has been little increase in the LQ index of key industries, the report showed. The statistical analysis showed that the construction of innovation cities did not affect the increase in per capita income. In conclusion, the innovation city project failed to decentralize the population of the metropolitan area and its economic impact was not significant.

In urban environments, spatial equity relates to equal accessibility of urban facilities services and equitable distribution of facilities, regardless of the social position and economic status. This study analyzed the equity of accessibility of Living SOC for Spatial Equity in Suwon, Yongin, Goyang, Seongnam, and Bucheon in Gyeonggi-do. The targets of the analysis are town-level of the walkable Living SOC, and the average land price, the infant population ratio, and the elderly population ratio were utilized to define the socio-economic status. As a result, the difference in accessibility between socio-economic status was found to be closer to Group A than to Group B for accessibility to 12 facility. Independent T test also showed significant differences between groups. Group A, whose percentage of the elderly and infant was lower than the average, was closer to facilities than group B and the difference between the two groups was significant. According to the regression analysis results, the influence on the independent variables ‘infant population ratio’, ‘aged population ratio’, and ‘average land price’ were 4.685, 6.133, -6,589 respectively. Even within large cities with similar conditions, the shortest approach distances by Hangjeong-dong and facillities showed differences between social and economic classes. Further discussions are needed for ensuring fair distribution and access across classes in progress of expanding Living SOC.

In urban regeneration project, the residents' voluntary participation is regarded as one of the most important elements to increase the execution, by increasing the residents' bond of sympathy and establishing the project plan desired by the residents in the policy-making process. With the increased roles of community, it was needed to form the voluntary community by members, and for the sustainable urban regeneration project, the vitalization of community is emphasized. Thus, this study focused on the concept of the elements of community as the measures for the enhancement of sustainable residents' participation in urban regeneration project. In order to perform an empirical research on community mentioned as the measures for vitalizing the residents' participation in urban regeneration project, this study examined the elements and meanings of community changed in modern society, and also the influence relations between elements of the re-established modern community and residents' participation. The objective of this study was to suggest the measures for the enhancement of sustainable residents' participation through the vitalization of community in urban regeneration project. Especially, the significance of this study is to verify the elements for the independence of community by adding the public interest and profitability in the aspect of project and the elements of community changed in modern society for the differentiation from the existing preceding researches. As a result, this study could contribute to the suggestion of diverse theoretical perspectives for the meanings of modern community and the enhancement of residents' participation.

The purpose of this study is to classify the housing vulnerable groups as elderly households, disabled households, and basic living recipients and to analyze the monthly rent and the housing cost burden. The study used data from the renters and the housing vulnerable groups in Busan in the 2017 Korea Housing Survey. The results of this study are summarized as follows; The monthly rent of the vulnerable groups in Busan was influenced by income, rent type, housing size, and residential area variable. Housing cost burden of the vulnerable groups was affected by Housing size, household type, and rent type variables. When living in a house, monthly rents and the housing cost burden for the basic living recipient were increased. Satisfaction with accessing to cultural facilities was significant for the monthly rents(except basic living recipient) and only the housing cost burden(Schwabe’s index) of the basic living recipient. On the other hand, satisfaction with accessing to public transportation facilities was significant for the monthly rents of disabled households, and had an impact on the housing cost burden(RIR, Schwabe’s index) of households except basic living recipient.

If the degradation of service quality and the deterioration of facilities occur, it could lead to a decline of tourism. Therefore, for revitalizing tourist attractions, it is necessary to manage them in a way that it has sufficient services and facilities. This study aimed to examine the relationship between the selection attributes of tourist attractions, the satisfaction with tourist attractions, and the behavioral intention of tourists in Namwon tourist complex where is the designated domestic tourist spot in south korea. Empirical analysis shows several results. First, there are six factors in the selection of tourist attractions: attractiveness, historical and cultural characteristics, programs, convenience, accessibility, and service quality. Second, The satisfaction of tourist attractions is related to a single factor. The behavioral intention is related to two factors: revisit intention and recommendation intention. Third, among the Selection attributes, attractiveness, accessibility, and quality of service have a positive effect on the satisfaction. Fourth, the satisfaction has a positive effect on the revisit and recommendation intention. To make the attractions in Namwon sustainable, it is necessary to manage surroundings of its attractions. In addition, it is important to prepare the method to enhance the accessibility for tourists who want to visit Namwon. Finally, educational support projects should be promoted to enhance the service quality of the workers in tourist attractions.

The purpose of this study is to define the decline of industrial complexes in complex terms as well as old industrial complexes, and to quantitatively understand how the decline of industrial complexes affects the decline of urban areas. To this end, this study used multiple regression analysis to analyse the factors affecting the decline of cities, mainly among national industrial complexes and general industrial complexes, which are declining. At this time, the decline of industrial complexes and the decline of cities was identified using the composite decline index. As a result, the decline of industrial complexes was defined as the decline of industrial complexes separated from the aging concept and represented from a socioeconomic point of view. In addition, it has been shown that the decline of these industrial complexes affects urban areas. Specifically, industrial diversity in declining industrial complexes and urban areas has proven to affect the decline of cities.
