랜드 오퍼레이터의 역량이 여행사의 경영성과와 장기거래지향성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of land operator's competence on travel agency's managerial performance, and long-term relationship orientation. A total of 356 questionnaires were finally used for analyses and SPSS WIN 22.0 Statistical package program was used and this author carried out census frequency analysis, analysis of reliance, analysis of factors and multiple regression analysis. There were four factors extracted from land operator's competencies being competence in service, information, product-developing, staff. As a result of multi regression analysis showed all the land operator's competencies significantly have direct effects both on travel agency's managerial performance and long-term relationship orientation. This research explored tour operator's competencies and examined the relationships between travel agency's managerial performance and long-term relationship orientation. This study can help small-sized tour operators adjust the recently challenging market circumstances and keep a long-term relationship with their precious customers.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a method for teaching the NCS of ‘Practice on Room Division of Hotel’ to enhance ‘Social Problem Solving Capability’ by applying ‘Flipped Learning’. Education was designed and carried out toward students specializing tourism & service in a 3-year course collage in Seoul. Empirical analysis was done with 63 samples filled in perfectly by the students who took part in ‘Practice on Room Division of Hotel’ class. PPO (Positive Problem Orientation) and RPS (Rational Problem Solving) were changed positively but NPO (Negative Problem Orientation), ICS (Impulsive-Carelessness Style) and AS (Avoidance Style) were not changed by the education applying ‘Flipped Learning’. Therefore, it is verified that teaching the NCS of ‘Practice on Room Division of Hotel’ by applying ‘Flipped Learning’ enhances ‘Social Problem Solving Capability’

This study was designed to analyze the trends of information media use and information sources among exhibition attendees who visited 2016 Busan Home & Table Deco Fair. To achieve the goals of the study, data was collected during the 24-25, May in 2016 at BEXCO, the venue of the exhibition, and total of 252 samples were used for statistical analysis. The results of the study revealed that the attendees accessed and achieved necessary information through various information sources including word of mouth, public media, internet, promotional materials(ex: posters and fliers) but they preferred word of mouth over these choices. According to the analysis, demographic information such as sex, age, education, and job was significantly related to the information sources. Planning events and performances could lead to word-of-mouth among male visitors as they were more likely to be exploratory and active. Those who had high level of education and professional jobs preferred to search on-line information and share information sources inside the groups, so these potential visitors could be motivated by the online information on the webpage as a communication channel for sharing and exchanging information. Patterns on companion and the visiting experience prior to this exhibition had significant impact on information sources among attendees of 2016 Busan Home & Table Deco Fair. Discussions on theoretical/empirical implications for future study were provided.

The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of Job competency of medical tourism professionals on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and particularly how cultural distance acts as a moderating variable between job competency and job satisfaction. The data was collected nationwide from 255 medical tourism related professionals who work for hospitals, using SPSS 12.7. Results of the study is as follows. First, only knowledge and self efficacy influenced positively on job satisfaction out of various job competency factors such as perceived organizational values, knowledge, interactive service, cognitive flexibility and self efficacy. Second, job satisfaction influenced positively on organizational commitments. Third, only perception of organizational values of job competency was moderated by cultural distance in the process of verifying the influence between job competency and job satisfaction , which implies that the greater medical tourism professionals perceive the cultual distance , the higher efforts they require to have an effective management of job competency and the lower the job satisfaction is being illustrated.

This study aims to evaluate the economic impact of Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival and investigates the factors which influence customers' Willingness to Pay (WTP). To achieve this study's aim, the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and double bound dichotomous choice (DBDC) were employed. The participants in the survey were 227 domestic visitors and 205 international visitors at the festival. In previous literature, only domestic participants were surveyed, but in this study expands the sample was expanded to include international participants. The determinants of WTP are gender, age, income, willing to revisit, extra fee(s), and festival satisfaction. The positive impacts were found in gender and age for domestic visitors and gender only for international visitors. To evaluate the economic impact, the participants' WTP per individual was 18,458 won (domestic) and 10,961 won (international). The WTP increases the economic impact to 26,762,900,230 won for doemstic visitors. The estimated impacts are consistent to the previous studies and suggests that the festivals value is augmented as time goes by.

The Focus of the study is to show the critical importance of effective emotional intelligence to job satisfaction, communication in its relationship and role conflict. we also investigated the impact of communication in its relationship and role conflict as moderators of the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction to understand the influence of communication in its relationship and role conflicts. The result suggest that the emotional intelligence had a significant influence on the communication in its relationship and role conflict except for job satisfaction. the proposed interaction effects between emotional intelligence and communication in its relationship on job satisfaction are also supported.

This study attempted theoretical establishment through a research in order to investigate moderating effects of management trust on relationships between employment environmental change and organizational commitment of hotel employees and then, conducted an empirical analysis based on established hypothesis of a research model. Two hypotheses were established mainly with theoretical background and the study aimed to analyze moderating effects of management trust on influencing relationships between employment environmental change and organizational commitment of hotel employees and on relationships between employment environmental change and organizational commitment. According to verification of hypothesis suggested by the research model, it was found that employment environmental change had influence on employees' organizational commitment and therefore, it was necessary to consider influencing factors; according to examination on whether employment environmental change had moderating effects on organizational commitment pursuant to management trust, management trust got a significant regression coefficient in interaction item, which meant management trust had moderating effects. Therefore, it is believed that the hypothesis which was suggested through a theoretical ground of advanced research was adopted in performing this study. Relevant implications are suggested.

National Competency Standards(NCS) is the guideline from Korean Ministry of Education as an effort to standardize the knowledge, skills and attitude competencies to perform tasks in related industry. The purpose of this study is to suggest base data for operating the convention course based on NCS by case analysis. First, this research is performed to examine the basic concept of NCS and present condition, secretary field NCS and meeting plan NCS in convention field and similar field with secretary and convention by literature analysis. Second, it is provided to basic data of operating the fusion course with Secretary field and convention field by operating real case of convention course based on NCS in the department of Secretary at Y college. This study has the following implications. First, the subject specification and the class syllabus must be referenced to the characteristic of the department of Secretary. Otherwise, students feel that the convention course is far from the secretary major. Second, nevertheless, most of students interested in the convention course. Third, it is difficult to make the use of the text book and study module because it is combined subject. This study is the first research to fuse the course based on NCS in the department of Secretary in Y college with meeting plan tasks. It is meaningful to provide the practical implications to the educational institutions of operating the course based on NCS for the industry and the students.

대학생의 여가만족, 자아존중감과 생활만족에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between university student's leisure satisfaction, self-esteem and life satisfaction. A total of 233 questionnaires was used for the final analysis. Data processing was done for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis. The result from the study shows that 1) leisure satisfaction had the statistically significant effect on self-esteem partly. 'social' and 'achievement themselves' had the statistically significant effect on self-esteem, but 'rest' had not the statistically significant effect on self-esteem. 2) self-esteem has positive impact the life satisfaction. 3) leisure satisfaction has impact the life satisfaction partly. 'rest' and 'achievement themselves' had the statistically significant effect on the life satisfaction but 'social' had not the statistically significant effect on the life satisfaction. 4) in the relationship between leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction, self-esteem can be a crucial mechanism in the relationship of leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction. Consequently, this study shows that, when the students hold self-esteem and experience various leisure during the campus life, it can contribute to promoting their personal life.

This study aimed to conduct a feasibility analysis of real option as financial analysis about tourism development business. NPV method and IRR method, which had been used as financial analysis, could not reflect future uncertainty and volatility and therefore, real option, which can reflect dynamic change according to the course of time, was presumed as an alternative to analyze its feasibility. According to the analysis result, it was shown that tourism development business has great characteristics of uncertainty and volatility during the business period due to the large investment volume and the long-term operation period and that real option was adequate to be adopted. It was found that following options could be applied; option to abandon and option to alter operating scale in case of changes in economic situations such as financial crisis and economic recession; option to abandon and option to switch in case of changes in government policies, promotion intention of the central and the local government; option to defer, option to alter operating scale and time to build option in case of failure in fund raising and decrease in financing ability; option to abandon, option to alter operating scale and option to switch in case of difficult business proceeding due to objection of regional people and concerned parties; and, option to defer and option to alter operating scale in case of decreasing of demand and profitability due to external non-economic factors such as war, terror, infectious diseases. This study has a meaning to have suggested a ground to verify feasibility of real option as financial analysis about tourism development business and also to apply strategic and flexible decision-making to tourism development business.

사회적 지지와 고객지향성의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과

This study examined the mediating role of positive psychological capital in the social support-customer orientation relationship of service employees, 401 hotel employees participated in the survey. Collected data were processed using SPSS v. 18.0, and the hypotheses were tested through frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The findings are as follows. First, social support was found to be relate positively to all of the positive psychological capital dimensions(self‐efficacy, optimism, hope, resilience). Second, except optimism, all of the positive psychological capital dimensions were found to be relate positively to customer orientation. Finally, all of the positive psychological capital dimensions(self‐efficacy, optimism, hope, resilience) were found to be partially mediate the influence of social support on customer orientation. Conclusions are then presented followed by theoretical and managerial implications of the findings.

자기회귀시차 모형을 이용한 관광수입이 지방재정자립도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증분석

This paper aims to suggest the empirical evidences on the effects of the tourism revenue on the local financial self-sufficiency, analyzing the relationships among the tourism revenue, local tax revenue, and the financial self-sufficiency in Kangwon and Jeju Province. The paper derived the interregional input-output table for Kangwon and Jeju from the national model using the regional supply proportion of industry, and then estimated the elasticities of local tax revenue with respect to the tourism revenue and the tax revenue elasticities of the local financial self-sufficiency using the autoregressive distributed lag model. The tourism revenue elasticities of local tax were estimated to be 1.1211 and 0.7892 respectively in Kangwon and Jeju Province while the local tax elasticities of the local financial self-sufficiency proved to be 0.0937 and 0.0747 respectively. The empirical results imply that the effect of tourism revenue on the local financial self-sufficiency has proved to be greater in Kangwon Province than in Jeju.

There has been many issues regarding emotional labor workforce and their rights and their work place environment. Hotel industry could be a good example of emotional labor work place where its employees confront moment-of-truth with customers and among employees. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of hotel employees' stressors on job satisfaction and turnover intension. The empirical result indicated that the 'promotion and wage' stressors which are 'personal factors', 'job factor' and ' internal personal factor' have effects on job satisfaction and 'work place environment' stressor which are 'personal factors', 'job factor' and ' internal personal factor' have effects on job satisfaction and 'job contents' stressors which are 'personal factors', 'job factor' and ' internal personal factor' have effects on job satisfaction. 'Relationship among work place' and 'internal personal stress' causal factors ' have effects on turnover intention. 'Promotion and wages' and 'work place environment' satisfaction factors have effects on job satisfaction.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of representative local festival’s brand equity on brand loyalty. It is also to investigate the differences mediating effects produced by brand attitude between brand equity and brand loyalty. The following empirical analysis on visitors to Gimjae Horizon Festival, selected as a representative festival by Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism for 4 consecutive years, was performed to carry out the research. The result shows the brand equity gives effect to brand attitudes. Moreover, the brand equity appeared to have effects on brand loyalty. The mediating effects of the brand attitude appeared to have effects on brand loyalty. Based on the analysis, fundamental research was implemented to build systematic approach and extended brand loyalty for local festivals in the future. Based on the analysis, a continued research to improve brand loyalty of representative local festival will be necessary.

Today the foodservice industry continues to be a growing industry in every country. Especially, the five-day workweek, increased leisure time and improved living standards have led to grow the foodservice industry in S. Korea. We expect the industry is promoting the economy and creating more jobs. Therefore, the Government tries to consider raising policy for foodservice industry, and many colleges and institutes produce a number of foodservice professionals. However, we has suffered from shortage of manpower in that industry every year. Experts say the reason of the problem such as low wages and long working hours and so on. But solving this problem should be considered for growth of foodservice industry. This study focuses on the constructs leadership, turnover intention and emotion. Especially, we examined the mediating effect of emotion on the relation between leadership and turnover intention to suggest implications for prevention for employees turnover and effective human resource management in foodservice. In order to achieve the purpose, the questionnaires were distributed to family restaurants' employees via internet and sheets, and collected 521. But 488 valid samples were finally analyzed by SPSS 21.0. This study found that leadership affects turnover intention. Also there is the mediating effect of emotion on the relation between leadership and turnover intention. We found the significant relationship between emotion and demographic characteristic in further analysis as well. The limitations and managerial implications stemming from the empirical findings about this study are discussed.

한국 관광수지의 결정요인에 관한 실증분석

This paper is to provide the empirical evidences on the determinants for the Balance of Tourism Payment in Korea, estimating the elasticities of the Balance of Tourism Payment with respect to its determinants. The determinants consist of the four variables which include the industry-specific factors such as markup and productivity in Tourism service industries, and foreign exchange rate and the growth rate of Gross Domestic Product. The paper is to measure the industrial markup and productivity in the tourism industries including retail·food·lodging and transport·communication respectively and then to estimate the elasticities of the Balance of Tourism Payment with respect to its determinants using the autoregressive distributed model. The empirical results proved the industrial markup and productivity in retail·food·lodging industry to be the significant determinants for the Balance of Tourism Payments during the period of 1980-2015.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of Rural experience programs patten on selection attributes influence upon Rural tourism satisfaction and Behavioral intention. First, according to analysed result, Rural tourism experience program is hypotheses about the satisfaction and selection attributes of rural areas is partially adopted, and rural tourism in the modern era have been developed but In still all parts, it can not be to the interest of rural tourists is a reality. Second, selection attributes of rural tourism is partially adopted hypotheses about the satisfaction Analysis of the results, salient experience activities and the attractive environment and amenities shall not have reached the interest of tourists and has been verified. Last, rural tourism satisfaction influenced on Behavioral intention. As the result of this study, we will attract rural tourists with better tourism products and attractive Environment, Amenities. At present, the development of rural tourism in Korea, but this fact is too often lacking when compared with other countries. Rural tourism is the future of business in Korea. So I improve cross-section, the lack of rural tourism will be the center of tourism of the Republic of Korea, South Korea will be the best as rural tourism in the world.

The purposes of this study is to analyze factors such as employees internal marketing, job stress that affect the job satisfaction, and to understand how the various elements composed of each variable affect, the moderating effect of social support on the relationship between internal marketing and job stress. For an analysis of data, questionnaire survey was carried out to hotel service encounter workers. Total 300 sheets were sued for an empirical analysis with SPSS 21.0 and hierarchic moderated regression analysis. The study findings are summarized below. First, the internal marketing had significant negative correlation with job stress except reward factor. Second, moderating effect of social support was also influence between internal marketing and job stress. And the job stress have a significant negative correlation with job satisfaction. Conclusions of this study suggest that influence factors for future study enhancing internal marketing would lead the positive changes in job stress and job satisfaction.

This study verified the effect of work value, as felt by new employees working in the hotel industry, on organizational committment and also the moderating effect of social support between work value and organizational committment. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, the study verified that, among inherent values, only social commitment and knowledge seeking had a positive(+) direction of influence on organizational committment, and among extrinsic values, only face-saving and stability seeking had a positive(+) direction of influence on organizational commitment. Second, as a result of verifying the effect of inherent values on organizational commitment according to emotional, informative and material support, the study revealed that organizational commitment increased, as the perception of emotional, informative and material support increased, on condition that the item, value of knowledge seeking, among inherent values, was perceived highly, On the other hand, if the item, economic priority and face-saving, scored highly among inherent values, then the higher the perception of emotional, informative and material support, the higher the organizational commitment. Third, as a result of verifying the effect of inherent values on organizational commitment according to evaluative support, the study revealed that organizational commitment increased, as the perception of evaluative support increased, on condition that the item, value of knowledge seeking and relationship-centered among inherent values, was perceived highly, On the other hand, if the item, economic priority, face-saving and stability seeking, scored highly among inherent values, then the higher the perception of evaluative support, the higher the organizational commitment.

Factors Influencing Medical Service Customers’ Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention : The Case of patients from Russia and Central Asian countries

This study investigates factors that influence foreign customers’ satisfaction and behavioral intention towards medical services in South Korea. In particular, the relationship between medical service attributes including cultural distance, medical service components and convenience, on the one hand, and satisfaction and behavioral intention, on the other hand, is explored. The results of the study indicate that medical service attributes have a significant positive effect on satisfaction level of patients from Russia and Central Asian countries. Moreover, satisfaction influences such behavioral intentions as revisit intention and word-of-mouth intention. Hence, the more patients are satisfied with medical services provided, the higher the probability that they will return to the provider or recommend it to others. Accordingly, satisfaction level of international patients has to be continuously monitored to increase favorable behavioral intentions. However, our findings indicate that medical service attributes have no effect on behavioral intention of foreign customers. Thus, further research should be conducted on the topic.
