문명의 위기를 맞이한 지금, 현대문명을 지켜온 인간관, 세계관, 교육관을 그대로 둔 채 기술적 차원의 접근만으로 문제를 해결할 수 없으며, 홀리스틱교육 패러다임이 문제해결을 위한 하나의 대안일 수 있다. 그런데 홀리스틱교육의 교육적․시대적 의미는 분과학문의 다양한 앎(知)들을 통섭하였다든지, 인문학을 도입하였다든지, 인위적 구분과 경계를 넘나드는 홀리스틱적 접근을 시도했다든지, 또는 그 자체의 이론적 체계성에서 오는 것이 아니라, 그러한 교육을 받은 사람의 삶의 ‘결’에서 드러난다. 홀리스틱교육 패러다임이 시대적 변화에 대응하고 교육적 요구에 부응할 수 있는 하나의 훌륭한 대안일 수 있는 이유는 홀리스틱교육이 인간이나 교육을 바라보는 우리의 눈과 사고방식을 전환시키고, 나아가 실제 세계에 대한 명확한 관점을 제공할 수 있기 때문이다. 만약 홀리스틱교육이 기존의 분과학문 영역처럼 자기 고유의 이론체계 구축에만 집착한다면, 그것은 지식의 통섭이라는 시대적 추세와 요구에도 역행하는 일일 뿐만 아니라, 홀리스틱교육의 본래적 힘을 포기하는 의미가 될 것이다. 홀리스틱교육이 올바르게 발전하는 길은 그것이 우리들 삶의 동력으로 기능할 수 있게 하는 것이다.

Nowadays, education, especially lifelong learning becomes increasingly important as one of the core factors for a country's competitiveness. In the case of Korea, however, the 'learning divide' is continually disadvantaging significant groups of people so that 'learning divide' tends to be the top ranked social problem. As an alternative strategy to cope with this educational and further, social polarization, therefore, Korean government has been incrementally focusing on cultivating their people's 'human capital', but this has not worked as it is intended. It cannot be, on the contrary, a coincidence that the recent World Economic Forum report on global competitiveness listed all five Nordic countries among the top 10, which are commonly emphasizing the importance of holistic approach to lifelong learning. With the cooperation with the consilience of knowledges, informations and/or disciplines, and with the inclusion of the humanities, holistic educational approach should make 'education' or 'learning' as a core tool for developing and re-designing and upgrading the quality of our lives as well as developing Korea economically, politically and culturally.

이 글에서는 이제까지 근대주의 패러다임에 기초한 교육을 비판하고 새로운 대안적 패러다임이라고 할 수 있는 홀리스틱교육 패러다임을 소개하였다. 홀리스틱교육 패러다임은 전일론(holism)을 근간으로 하는 전연관적․포괄적․균형적․생명중심적․배려적․영성적 측면을 강조하는 21세기의 중심이 되는 패러다임으로 자리 잡고 있다. 또한 이러한 패러다임이 사회과학에 주는 함의를 논의하였다. 특히 근래에 등장하고 있는 카오스(chaos)이론을 소개하고 교육에 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 색하였다. 다시 말하면 근대주의적 인식론으로 대표되는 Newton의 역학이 종말을 고하면서 최근의 이론인 카오스 이론의 불확정적이고 예측불가능한 특징을 포스트모던 교육에 적용시킬 수 있다는 점을 강조하고 있다. 물론 홀리스틱 교육이 마치 모든 교육 관련 이론을 통합하는 것으로 오해하는 경향이 있음을 주지시키며, 올바른 홀리스틱 교육에 대한 이해가 필요함을 강조하였다.

This paper investigated the relationship between holistic educational paradigm and social science. Holistic education is a philosophy of education based on the premise that each person finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and to spiritual values such as compassion and peace. Holistic education aims to call forth from people an intrinsic reverence for life and a passionate love of learning. The term holistic education is often used to refer to the more democratic and humanistic types of alternative education. At its most general level, what distinguishes holistic education from other forms of education are its goals, its attention to experiential learning, and the significance that it places on relationships and primary human values within the learning environment. The concept of holism refers to the idea that all the properties of a given system in any field of study cannot be determined or explained by the sum of its component parts. Instead, the system as a whole determines how its parts behave. A holistic way of thinking tries to encompass and integrate multiple layers of meaning and experience rather than defining human possibilities narrowly. In this paper chaos theory is represented as a replacement to the modern idea of Newtonian mechanics.

이 연구는 다원화된 가치와 복잡성 시대에 살고 있는 유아들의 진정한 전인교육을 위한 방법으로 다중지능적 접근의 통합교육 방법을 제시하고 있다. 평가에 대한 관점이 대안평가의 관점으로 이동되면서 영유아에게 의미 있는 평가, 실제적인 맥락을 반영하는 평가 관점으로 변화되었다. 유아들의 사고과정과 맥락을 강조한 통합교육을 하기 위해서는 유아들의 강점지능 이외의 잠재적으로 가지고 있는 지능도 발현시킬 수 있는 다중지능적 접근과 맥락을 중심으로 한 유아 관찰을 통한 새로운 교육과정, 활동의 발현이 중요하다. 통합교육은 학습과 교과과정에의 전체적인 접근으로서 유아들의 욕구와 흥미에 부합하고 유아들의 다양한 개성을 존중하는 다중지능적 활동과 맥락 속의 평가를 통해 통합교육이 실현되어야 한다. 따라서 본고에서는 유아교육 현장에서의 통합교육을 위한 다중지능적 접근의 필요성과 다중지능적 평가에 대해 고찰하였다.

The purposes of this study were to analyze integrated education methods for young children based on the Gardner's Mutiple Intelligences theory. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, Multiple Intelligences approach offers an alternative approach to assessment and curriculum development in early childhood education. Second, the development of a multiple intelligences program for young children can be based on the analysis of Multiple Intelligences approach activities and assessments. Mutiple Intelligences approach is based on the belief that each child exibits a distinctive profile of different abilities, or spectrum of intelligences. Third, Multiple Intelligences program for young children can be evolved in a variety of ways and achieved through Integrated Education Methods. The result of this study can be applied to the development a multiple intelligences program for young children based on the analysis of Multiple Intelligences Approach Activities and Assessments.

본고에서는 홀리스틱 교육(holistic education)의 관점에 비추어 통합교육과정의 효율적 운영 방안 모색을 하고자 먼저, 통합교육과정에 대한 고찰과 함께 홀리스틱 교육의 ‘관련․이어짐’이라는 관점을 통해 홀리스틱 교육과 통합교과교육과의 관계를 파악하였다. 다음에 홀리스틱 통합교육과정 운영을 위한 다양한 실천적 전략 탐색을 하였으며, 마지막으로 홀리스틱 전인교육을 지향하는 홀리스틱 교육 관점에서의 통합교육의 미래 전망을 제시하고 이들 결과에 대한 논의와 함께 앞으로의 과제에 대해 모색하였다. 통합교과 운영의 다양한 방법들은 그 방법 자체가 중요한 것이 아니라 통합의 목적과 결부될 때 비로소 교육적 효과를 거둘 수가 있다. 본고에서는 어원과 파생어가 갖는 의미가 풍부하고 다양한 ‘홀리스틱’이란 용어를 ‘통합교육, 통합교육과정, 통합교과교육’이라는 용어의 수식어로 사용하였다. ‘홀리스틱’과 ‘통합(integration)’에 대한 명쾌한 정의 및 관계 제시가 있은 후에야 홀리스틱 통합교육과정 운영에 대한 보다 특성화된 전략 및 실천 방향 모색도 가능하게 될 것이다.

The third educational process of the state standard and textbook have to be made the target of a next to one-like change with the foundation of right concept introduction to an integration subject, but it's thought that recognition conversion of site teachers to an integration subject is necessary absolutely before that. Or I think the ability developing integrated education contents personally focusing on need of a teacher and students and a request at school site is more important further than the education contents by which it's given at the top to the educational process or the textbook form of the state standard.

대학에서의 사회봉사교육은 학생들에게 사회 및 사회봉사활동에 대한 전반적인 이해와 적극적인 관심, 그리고 사회적인 통찰력을 고양시키고 동시에 능동적인 사회 참여의 의지를 심어 주는 것이 중요하며, 지역사회와 연계한 학습의 장이 될 수 있도록 계획․운영되어야 한다. 또한 봉사학습을 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 사회봉사와 관련된 전담조직의 설치와 전담 교수 및 직원의 배치가 이루어져야 하며, 사회봉사 관련 교과목의 개설되어 운용되어야 한다. 한국대학사회봉사협의회는 1997년 설립된 이래로 대학사회봉사의 활성화를 위하여 우리나라 대학사회에 봉사학습의 개념을 도입 대학생들에게 봉사학습을 통한 사회성증진의 기회를 제공하고 국내․외 대학 및 봉사기관과 의 정보교환을 선도하였으며, 다양한 봉사활동 지원 사업을 펼쳐왔다. 이 논문에서는 현행 대학사회봉사 관리 체계를 분석하여 효율적인 대학사회봉사 관리방안을 제안하였다.

Founded in 1997, Korean University Council for Social Service (KUCSS) is a non-profit organization consisted of 201 member universities, including both 2-year and 4-year colleges, nationwide. The goal of KUCSS is to develop effective approaches and methodologies for the encouragement of volunteerism in the public by providing university students with the learning opportunities to join and experience social service and community-based volunteer activities. The KUCSS's program objectives are to make collaborative efforts for the integration of university curriculum and social service activities; to support social service programs in universities; to exchange information and cooperate with social service agencies, both domestic and overseas; to study and develop the ways for active involvement of university students and young adults in social service activities; and thereby to contribute to the welfare of our society. In this paper we investigate current situation of Administration System for Campus Volunteerism, and suggest improvement method of operation system for service learning.

건강교육은 아동의 건강유지와 증진에 필요한 지식을 습득하도록 하여 이를 실생활에 습관적으로 활용하도록 돕는 데 있다. 아동은 신체적․정신적으로 발달단계에 있기 때문에 올바른 건강지식을 습득하는 것은 매우 중요하며, 아동의 건강문제는 건강증진 행위를 실천함으로써 예방이 가능하다는 점에서 건강교육의 중요성은 더욱 강조되고 있다. 특히 아동기의 경우 건강행위의 태도나 실천행위가 확립되어 있지 않기 때문에 건강습관이 고착화되기 전에 바람직하지 못한 건강행위를 교정하고 바람직한 건강행위를 수립하도록 돕는 건강교육의 정착이 절실히 요구된다. 본고에서는 건강교육의 방향을 아동기 건강교육의 필요성, 아동의 성장․발달을 고려한 건강교육의 중요성, 체력활동 영역을 활용한 건강교육 실시, 체계적인 건강교육 프로그램인 PRECEDE 모형 등에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

Health education means the chlidren's health maintain, promotion and It was helped to applied habitually in real life. Because children had being a development grade physically mentally, The learning of an upright health knowledge was very important. As a health problem of children practice health promotion behavior, Importance of health education was more emphasized. Also individual lifestyle have relation to a close health behavior, and Health promotion behavior can changed through education. To the future, The diction of health education should be turned to the necessity of children's health education, health education considered children's growth․development, health education physical applied fitness activity and to guide a PRECEDE model in the systematic health education program.

청소년들의 봉사 실천은 가정에서부터 시작되어야 하지만, 그것만으로는 복지활동을 실천하는 데 충분하다고 할 수 없다. 현재처럼 가정기능이 점차 약화되면 복지교육의 기능을 학교교육, 사회교육 속에서 찾을 수밖에 없다. 그러나 그것만으로 반드시 효과를 볼 수 있는 것은 아니다. 아무리 복지교육을 실시하여도 지역사회 전체가 복지교육을 실시하지 않으면 진정한 효과는 볼 수 없다. 결국 청소년 봉사인식 개선을 위한 복지교육은 가정이나 학교에만 그 추진을 맡길 것이 아니라, 대학 및 지역사회가 복지교육 실천을 통해서 연계되고 학교와 지역사회가 연계를 강화해야 한다. 따라서 이 논문의 목적은 사회봉사의 기반이 되는 것이 바로 ‘복지교육’이며 대학 사회봉사단에서는 미래의 지도자로서 대학생 사회봉사활동을 지도하는 일과 미래의 대학생이 될 지역사회 청소년들을 위해 자원봉사 인식을 개선하는 복지교육 어프로치를 함께 수행해야 할 시대적 요구를 수용해야 한다는 점을 제시하였다. 특히 지역사회에서 청소년을 위한 자원봉사 인식을 개선하는 복지교육 어프로치로서 대학사회봉사학습 프로그램접근과 평가 실 사례를 통하여 대학사회 봉사단에서 어떻게 지역사회와 밀착하여 접근해야 하는지 그 모델에 대한 함의를 논의해 보고자 한다.

The cost or social problems and the negative consequences are extensive. From a cost-benefit perspective, the interventions the social service system has chosen are extremely costly and highly unproductive for both client and service manager in terms of targets, timing of intervention, ages, and contexts. Social service learning programs must master should provide the focus for intervention from a life-span development perspective. Specially for young welfare Education is appropriate to dealing with the problems of the young. Prevention provides an early developmental focus for intervention, which may forestall development of future programs. A review and analysis of centering social problems underscores the need for cost-effective preventive efforts. Then the personal, social, economic, and political benefits of prevention in community welfare based service are significant. Next should establishment the preventive models of service learning in volunteer corps program of university.
