This study aims to explain the importance of field training raised in the curriculum of the hotel management major, especially to consider the introduction of an operating system in the form of weekend field training. Experimental cases we tried to derive the implications through in-depth interview of 7 students, and research was conducted according to a phenomenological approach. First, looking at the motives for participation in the weekend field training, most of the cases were aimed at linking to employment or industry experience, and a combination of economic goals was accompanied by a complex choice. The activity content of the weekend field training was not much different from that of the existing hotel field training, so it was mainly in charge of auxiliary work for front-line workers in field work such as concierge and F&B service, and served as a practice process for career advancement. The operational results of the weekend field training include help in making career decisions for students, establishing a personal network with employees in the hotel, linking to long-term field training after the weekend field training as a short-term field training, salary paid by the hotel, and government subsidies. In terms of problems and improvement directions of weekend field training, curriculum formation to relieve physical and mental fatigue in combination with education/practice, difficulty in forming relationships with workers, and various experience opportunities through rotational work, uncertainty in the process linking practice, and due to the lack of preparation in advance, it was required to establish a systematic linkage system and reinforcement of additional educational content during the week.

The main objective of this study is to examine the effect of organizational socialization on career commitment and turnover intention of hotel employees. Particularly, we aim to explore career commitment as the important variable which has been overlooked in relevant research context. The researchers surveyed employees of five-star hotels in Seoul and a total of 236 valid responses were received from a sample of 300 hotel employees. SPSS 18 statistics package was used to analyze the data collected and factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted. The results show that organizational socialization has significantly positive effects on career commitment, and career commitment has significantly negative effects on turnover intention. However, the sub-factors of organizational socialization had different effects on turnover intention. Performance proficiency positively affects turnover intention, while the extent to which the organizational goals/values are understood has no significant effect on turnover intention of employees. The consequent theoretical and managerial implications, and suggestions on future research are elaborated in detail in the conclusion.

The purpose of this study is to understand the realities of airline employment recognized by college students majoring in airline services and try to find out the structural relationship between major reality cognition, envy, anxiety, career goal diversity and employment preparation behavior. The survey was conducted for students majoring airline service majors, 340 copies of the collected questionnaire were used for empirical analysis. The analysis method for the survey data was IBM SPSS Statistics 22 and Amos Graphics. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the cognition of major reality had a positive effect on envy. Secondly, it has a significant positive effect on the anxiety of real cognition. Third, envy has a significant positive (+) effect on career goal diversity. Fourth, envy has a significant positive (+) effect on Employment preparation. Fifth, anxiety was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on career goal diversity. Sixth, it was shown that anxiety does not have a significant positive effect on employment preparation behavior. Lastly, it was found that career goal diversity did not have a significant positive effect on employment preparation behavior. As the range of career goal diversification of airline service students is confirmed, it is now necessary to induce efficient and personalized career guidance and employment preparation behaviour

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the glass ceiling on the turnover intention of hotel employees and to verify whether glass ceiling of other companies have a moderating effect in the relationship between cgass ceiling and turnover intention. The survey has conducted for 4, 5 star hotel's employees in Seoul to test the hypothesis, and the sample consists of some 380 responses. The results of this study reveal firstly, it was verified that the perception of turnover intention as glass ceiling, and the higher the subjects’ glass ceiling was, the turnover intention was higher in terms. Secondly, it was found that glass ceiling of other companies have some significant moderating impact on the effects of the glass ceiling and turnover intention. This result shows that as the perception of glass ceiling increases, turnover intention increases, and in this process, if the perception of glass ceiling of other companies are high, turnover intention decreases.

This study was intended to investigate the effects of ego resiliency on job burnout of hotel employees and the effects of job burnout on job satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to provide implications for effective human resource management of hotel corporations. An empirical analysis based on the survey results verified statistical significance using SPSS Win 20.0 statistical package program according to the subject of the analysis and purpose of this study. According to the result of regression analysis on the effects of ego resiliency on depersonalization, it was identified that optimistic attitude and interpersonal relations make negative effect on depersonalization. According to the regression analysis on the effects of ego resiliency on emotional exhaustion, it was identified that optimistic attitude makes significant negative effect on emotional exhaustion. Regression analysis on the effects of ego resiliency on decline in a sense of accomplishment identified that confidence makes significant negative effect on a sense of accomplishment. Ego resilience can be understood as an ability to relieve exhaustion symptoms despite the high aggressiveness of customers. Given the reality of hotels where direct control of customer aggression is not so easy, it is believed that efforts will be needed to increase ego resiliency capacity of each employee at the organizational level.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the job environment, job commitment, and organizational loyalty of tour guides in order to provide a practical and efficient tour guide management policy for the continuous growth and stable management activities and achievements of the travel industry. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the job environment of the tour guide was found to be four dimensions of maintenance, achievement evaluation, decision making, and human relationship. Multiple regression analysis showed that there is a significant influence on dependent variables such as job satisfaction, job satisfaction, job responsibility, and turnover Respectively. The relationship between job environment and job satisfaction was influenced by pay, human relations, and achievement evaluation, and decision making was not significant. In the relationship between job environment and job satisfaction, there were significant influences in terms of human relations, achievement evaluation, and decision making, and remuneration was not significant. In terms of job environment and job responsibilities, human relations and decision making were influenced in order, and there was no meaningful relationship between pay and performance evaluation. Job satisfaction and job desire were influenced by achievement evaluation and human relationship order, and remuneration and decision making were not significant. Second, job involvement is divided into four dimensions : job satisfaction, job responsibility, and turnover need. Multiple regression analysis shows that there is a significant influence on organizational loyalty. The relationship between job commitment and organizational loyalty was influenced by job responsibilities and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction and turnover need were not significant. The Tour Guide is a group of experts devoted to the safe and satisfying tourism activities of the people in other countries, and should continuously improve the travel industry and improve and manage the work environment for stable management activities in a changing business environment.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among Social media marketing, local image and visit intention. The study obtained the following results : Hypothesis 1, All factors of social media tourism marketing had significant effects on the local image. Hypothesis 2, Only usefulness and timeliness the sub-factors of social media tourism marketing had a significant impact on the intention of the visit. Hypothesis 3, The local image also had significant effects on the visit intention. Hypothesis 4, All factors of social media tourism marketing had positive effects on the visit intention and this was mediated by the local image. The results of this study confirmed that the tourism information and tourism products provided through social media tourism marketing can directly influence the local image and the visit intention, which can amplify a revitalization or recession of the local tourism. This study aims to suggest the operational and theoretical implications for the increased management demands of the social media tourism marketing, the local image, and visit intention in the modern era in which local tourism acts as a local brand.

This study applied Q-methodology in its analysis to examine the consumers’ subjective perception on selection attributes of the food delivery apps. 25 Q-statements were obtained from precedent research and through in-depth interviews with operators of food delivery apps and three users. In addition, 30 people who had used food delivery apps before were selected as the P-sample. Q-factor analysis showed that the consumer perception could be divided into the following three types: “hygiene based, trust oriented,” “diverse menu oriented,” and “gourmet, focusing on user convenience”. The first type of consumers placed great importance on the hygiene and the satisfaction of those who had already experienced the service. The second type preferred those delivery apps that carried a variety of dining services. Finally, the third type prized the taste of food and the convenience of using the apps. The results of this study will serve as basic data for the marketing strategy and customer satisfaction.

무형문화유산은 지역 사회의 문화적 진정성과 정체성을 대표하기 때문에 국 가 및 지역 차원에서 관광을 창출하는 데 중요한 자원이 될 수 있다. 하지만 무형 문화유산의 관광자원 개발, 활용, 홍보에 있어 지속 가능 경영 접근법이 어느 정도 까지 채택되었는지에 대해 거의 알지 못한다. 특히 무형문화유산의 관광 자원 개발 및 전승을 위해 지역주민의 참여는 필수이다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국의 무형 문화 유산의 지속가능한 관광자원 개발을 지역 주민 관점에서 알아보았다. 본 연구의 결 과는 혼합 된 하향식 및 상향식 접근 방식과 기업가 정신의 도입이 무형문화유산의 지속 가능한 관광 자원 개발을 촉진 할 것이라 밝혔다. 이러한 발견은 지속 가능한 관광 자원 개발에서 혼합 하향식 및 상향식 접근 방식을 제기해 문화유산의 관광자 원화에 힘쓰는 정부에 중요한 지침표가 된다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of College students’ recognition of hotel and tourism curriculum on learning flow, academic achievement, and career decision-making self-efficacy. To collect data, on-site survey was conducted by students majoring in hotel and tourism studies at several Universities in Korea from October 05 to 10, 2020. The data were analyzed in using various statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability test, PLS-SEM along with bootstrapping techniques. The results revealed that the relationship between the variables, recognition of curriculum(RC) and learning flow and RC and career decision-making self-efficacy(CDS), have significantly related with each other. Students’ learning flow was also positively related with career decision making self-efficacy. However, RC was insignificantly connected with academic achievement, and there was no significant relationship between the academic achievement and CDS. Thus, these findings suggest that universities should come up with a plan for structural reform of the curriculum so that students can cultivate new skills required by companies or industries in the future era (e.g., the Fourth Industrial Revolution). It is necessary to clarify the type of department that the department aims at (e.g., research-centered vs. practical training-centered), and reinforce differentiation in the curriculum according to the characteristics of the department type. This provides students, an education consumer, with empirical motivation for learning activities that lead to expand opportunities for career decisions and choices along with academic achievement.
