This paper firstly explores characteristics of technology commercialization in Korean firms based on a survey that was developed along theories of technology commercialization and technological innovation. This study characterizes each sub-process - imagining, incubating, and demonstrating phase - of technology commercialization process according to Jolly (1997). We developed a variety set of indicators to measure characteristics of technology commercialization in both firm and project level, and examined the characteristics of technology commercialization in Korean firms under four dimensions such as ① innovation characteristics at three sub-processes of technology commercialization ② attributes of technologies and products targeted for commercialization ③ acquisition of technologies targeted and cooperative partners for commercialization ④ corporate capabilities for commercialization. 366 respondents completed the survey that includes information on 496 technology commercialization projects, which amounts to the response rate of 21.7%. The paper suggests managerial and policy implications for the improvement of the success rate and the policies designed to promote the technology commercialization in the private sector. First, Korean firms need to build corporate capabilities for commercialization in terms of in-house expert and mobilization of funds. Second, technologies at early stages need to be commercialized in order to create bigger value-added. Third, more active networking with various partners are strongly recommended. Fourth, proof-of-concept program needs to be introduced in order to increase survival rate of technology commercialization. Last, required funds at each sub-process needs to be provided through various funding sources.

Recently, the domestic smart phone market entered the growth stage after its introductory phase. As the market for smart phone devices grew rapidly, more attention had been paid to mobile application market as well. Combined with smart phone functions, mobile application creates a synergy with its various functions and by extending contents infinitely. Ultimately, it creates an effect of retaining customers under our company's service area. Thereby, in perspective of the company, the expansion of application store is one of the most crucial factors that dictates the retention of existing customers, the securement of new customers, the company's survivor in competitive smart phone operating system market. This study derived variables from various pilot studies under the judgement that service quality of App Store would affect customer satisfaction and continuance intention of smart phone by applying e-SERVQUAL which checked Internet service quality for the application market place App Store. The samples consist of 232 survey data drawn from a smartphone users. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 18 and AMOS 18. In the results of the reliability and validity test, all were found reliable, and all items were included. The test using Structural Equation Modeling supports 9 of 11 hypotheses. Hence, given the current circumstances of user increase and fierce competition among vendors, this study aims to provide effective marketing strategies for companies, presenting important indicators that suggest ways to sustain the use of smartphone and maintain and expand smartphone users.

Sustainability Management is a new way of managing business. It is based on the belief that only the businesses which have corporate social responsibility and environmental responsibility can be survived and grown in the market. From the 1990s, most of global companies start to adopt sustainability management as their core management program. In this paper, we examine annual sustainability management reports of major global companies in the computer and semiconductor sector. By comparing and analyzing sustainability management programs a couple of suggestions for Sustainability Management can be extracted in this article. Second, we investigate perceptional differences in priorities between professional sustainability management team members and other employee in the H Corp.
취업 컨설턴트의 IT 활용도, 고객지향성, 업무성과 간의 관련성에 관한 연구

This paper suggest some important factors that affect to the performance of job consultants. To test the suggestion, we gather data, 258 respondents, from the job consultants who work for the Women's New Job Creation and Consulting Centers which were established by Korea government. The empirical test proved that the customer-orientations of job consultants affect on their performances, not only on the perception of customer evaluation and the job satisfaction directly but also on the job matching endeavors indirectly. The other our research focus is to analyze the control effects of IT usages on customer-orientations and job performances of consultants. The ANOVA analysis proved that the high IT usage group have higher customer communication and responsiveness to customers, also have higher perception of customer evaluation and job matching endeavors. Concludingly, to improve the job performances of the consultants, the enhancement of their customer-orientations and IT skills are important. Eventually the service qualities of job consulting centers will be improved by the IT competencies of job consulting personnels and their faithful customer oriented service activities.

Even though studies on predicting bankruptcy have been actively conducted for decades, a number of businesses go bankrupt even today. It is because bankruptcy predictions have focused on financial factors related to big or medium enterprises, which is inappropriate for applying to SME and venture businesses where business environment and financial factors are relatively weak. In this manner, accuracy of prediction cannot have been secured as well. According to characteristics of SME and venture businesses in particular, importance of non-financial factors rather than financial ones is raised as an issue again and a lot of research on this subject has been carried out since a few years ago. Based on features of non-financial factors, however, its range is broad and many of subjective elements are included, which makes it challenging to objectify. Additionally, since there also are many difficulties in constructing systems, funding and procuring personnel for practical reflection to actual business, research and its utilization seems to be unsatisfactory so far. Considering the characteristics of non-financial factors, this study conducted a survey of bankers specialized in money lending; total 266 firms that included bankrupted and not bankrupted among the customers enterprises of the bankers over the last 3 years. Various test methods were used for the empirical analysis including t-test, factorial analysis, logistic regression analysis and structural equation modeling. According to the analyses, it is suggested that industrial environment factor, company’s competitiveness factor and manager’s ability factor are closely connected each other and heavily related to the bankruptcy of firms; in particular, manager’s ability factor is very important element in predicting the bankruptcy of business. For this reason, it is suggested that the non-financial factors verified in this study can be utilized effectively in predicting the bankruptcy of business in the future. Some of the factors are being used systematically. It may be difficult to systematically implement other factors for the purpose of bankruptcy prediction; however, they are still effective tools to that end. In addition, this study is very useful in that it has achieved scientific improvement in the study of bankruptcy prediction as well as offered practical and useful enhancement through a series of systematic research processes.
