기업기반 스핀오프 벤처기업의 성과에 모기업의 역할과 관계가 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 대전, 경남지역 벤처기업을 중심으로

Corporate Spin-offs are successful phenomena that show outstanding performance in comparison with research-based spin-offs and non-spin-offs. However, there are few studies focused on corporate spin-off performance with relation to the role and relationship type of parent firm in Korea until now. This study investigates the influences of parent firm’s role and relationship type on the performance of corporate spin-offs. Based on the theoretical studies of parent firm’s role as an independent variable in the creation of corporate spin-offs, parent firm roles can be divided into role and non-role. And there are three types of parent firm role in corporate spin-offs. One is opportunity corporate spin-off. Another is incumbent-backed corporate spin-off. The other is necessity corporate spin-off. We also set current relationship between corporate spin-off and its parent firm as an independent variable. Current relationships with the parent firms are divided into relationship and no relationship. In the case of relationship type with parent firms, we categorize current relationship type between corporate spin-off and its parent firm into three categories such as different market seeker, business partner(supplier or buyer), and competitor. Then, we set the performance of corporate spin-off as a dependent variable. Dependent variable is composed of satisfaction level of sales growth, market share, and profit margin. We formulate several hypotheses between independent variables and dependent variable and build research model. Data were collected using questionnaire from the corporate spin-offs’ CEOs and 104 survey data were collected and analyzed to test hypotheses. Our findings indicate that the performance of corporate spin-offs with parent firm’s role is better than without parent firm’s role. And in the case of corporate spin-offs with parent firms, opportunity and incumbent-backed spin-offs’ performance are better than that of necessity spin-offs. But, it shows no significant performance difference between opportunity and incumbent-backed spin-offs. The performance of corporate spin-offs which have current relationship with parent firms is better than without current relationship with parent firms. However, when it comes to corporate spin-offs have current relationships with parent firms, it does not show any significant performance differences among the relationship types such as different market seeker, business partner, and competitor. In the end of the study, the implications and limitations are discussed and future research directions base on this study results are suggested.

The main purpose of this research is to analyze the entrepreneurial activities according to the proposed data from GEM(Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, 2012) about the types of 'Innovation․Efficiency․Factor-driven countries'. According to this, the researchers tried to verify the influences about the start-up performance based on the start-up environment and entrepreneurship, and tried a systemic approach about the main factors that affect to the entrepreneurial activities. Based on this research, a study model was constructed of the study at NES level. This study has analyzed the effects of the new registered start-up numbers affected by the GEM's NES(National Expert Survey) data related to the start-up environment, entrepreneurship. Now, Global countries are sharing a variety of information among them through ICT(Information Communication Technology). Under this situation, this study tried to propose the implication based on the view point of MOT(Management Of Technology), and the difference of the types of countries of the entrepreneurial activity based on the entrepreneurship, and this study performed empirically through the international comparison.

This research analyzes how those who have received a prize in Entrepreneur Competition influence self-efficacy, cooperation, experimentalism, and foundation purpose, and attempts to investigate regulation effect of relationship among self-efficacy, cooperation, experimentalism, and foundation purpose according to creative competency. Currently, various founding lectures and Entrepreneur Competition are being held by government and universities. Since fostering future-oriented and creative talent is assignment that should be handled by both government and university education, it is necessary that universities open specialized lectures or aggressively implement creativity training to cultivate experimentalism and creativity competency; in order to do it, development of various teaching-and-learning methods which employ ‘Design Thinking’ to let graduate students and undergraduates show their creative competency, and suitable curriculums in accordance with the methods are required.

This study examined the relationships between individual psychological characteristics and attitude toward trying startup. Need for achievement and internal locus of control, risk-taking propensity, self-efficacy were considered as individual psychological characteristics. The samples of 170 was used for final analysis. The result of analysis indicated that the need for achievement had not positive effects on attitude toward trying. The internal locus of control and risk-taking propensity had positive effect on attitude toward failure and process of trying, but it had not any effect on attitude toward success of trying. The self-efficacy had positive effects on attitude toward success and failure, process of trying. Then results of this study suggests that internal locus of control and risk-taking propensity, self-efficacy showed a role of antecedents of attitude toward trying. Finally, this study concluded with a discussion of the implications of the research findings and directions for future research.

Although SME’s successful commercialization of technologies is identified as being critical to Creative Economy, there has been a severe gap between development of promising technologies and their successful penetration into targeted markets because of SME’s lack of information on potential markets, commercialization policies and expert networks. To fill the gap, we propose a way of utilizing technology evangelists along with detailed steps based on network database analysis and visual presentation and present a case in point illustrating the commercialization via technology evangelists in detail.

Public-to-private technology transfer has been more important, in order to facilitate the transition to creative economy. Although various studies have been made to promote technology transfer in the food and agriculture sector, in-depth analysis of technology transfer phenomenon in the sector is rarely attempted. Taking into account that few previous research and theory development has been achieved, the paper explored the technology transfer phenomenon in the sector employing the grounded theory approach by Strauss & Corbin(1998). Companies that licensed in technologies through the Foundation of Agri. Tech. Commercialization & Transfer, were targeted as informants or interviewees. Finally, seven informants were selected sequentially utilizing theoretical sampling technique to the saturation point. As the result of open coding and axial coding of the interview data using NVivo10 by QSR International, sixty concepts, twenty sub-categories, and seven categories were derived while paradigm model was established. Through selective coding, 'the factors affecting technology transfer in food and agriculture sector' was identified as core category. The story line about the core category was developed based on four main categories. Finally, it is expected that the concepts, categories, and the relationship between them can be an important basis for further research.

With wide deployment of smart phones showing no sign of slowing down, there has been abundant research on market growth and trends as well as consumer behavior and willingness to adopt smart phones. Yet scant attention has been given to consumers’ response to mobile applications in relation to their usefulness. We examine plausible factors affecting purchasing behavior of mobile application buyers and explore how usability of applications can play a role in making decisions on mobile application purchases, particualry paying attention to the emerging importance of business models for developing mobile applications. We found that infortation, entertainment, position-based service and SNS show perceived usefulness, which may contribute to buying specific mobile applications. We also found that purchasing decisions are positively affected by application features as well as usefulness of applications perse.

Recently social economies such as social enterprise, cooperatives, are recognized as new alternative of solving the problem of high gap between the rich and the poor. But they are needed to have a excellent leadership which can solve a lot of problem in initial stage of start-up such as the conflict between community members and enhance commitment and cooperation of all members of the social economic organization. Through literature review of leadership in social economies and case study of 'Woojin Bus Transportation', this paper identified that appropriate leadership according to organizational life cycle is very important factor on satisfaction of its members which leads to higher performance of the social economic organization. 'Charismatic transformational leadership' in stage of start-up and 'participatory servant leadership' in the stage of growth according to organizational life cycle in social economy are explained and identified to bring a good performance through case study and empirical test of 'Woojin Bus Transportation'.
