모바일 게임사업의 성공전략에 관한 연구

The purpose of this research is twofold: One is to investigate the current situation and future outlook of mobile game business. The other is to suggest successful strategies for mobile game business. This article uses the research of the mobile game industry and a case study of promising mobile company, Gamevil. Based on the study, the four strategies are recommended to achieve success in this business. The strategies are flexible ability to cope with market changes, technology, alliance with venture capital and Merger & Acquisition. Findings of this article provide useful guidelines to mobile game companies. The further research on many mobile game companies will be expected to suggest the more successful strategies.

바이오 벤처기업의 창업성공요인에 관한 연구

There are many barriers in the road of bio-venture start-ups to success, such as long term investment, much R&D fund requirement, strict attestation and qualification process, etc. So, there may be different success factors in the bio-industry to other industries. Many researcher demonstrated that the entrepreneurship is important factor to the success of venture business start-up. Also most researcher proposed the entrepreneur's characteristics as critical success factors. This study tried to disclose the main determinants of bio-venture success factors and it's effects on the firm's performance focused on the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial orientation. From the literature review, many success factors were observed, next step, the screened factors were classified as three aspects, such as characteristics of entrepreneur or manager, organizational external networking capabilities, and entrepreneurial orientation. In the empirical study, to find promising factors, the factor analysis were conducted. As result, four entrepreneurial orientation factors, such as innovative organization, technology enhancement, market orientation, agility were discovered. These four entrepreneurial orientation factors affected significantly to the performance of the bio-venture firms. In the analysis, also, the other factors such as leadership and manager's intrinsic characteristics, and the organization's capabilities to use external resources were important success factors to the bio-venture start-ups.

코스닥시장 최초공모주의 초과수익률 분석을 통한 벤처캐피탈의 역할 제언

In this study, we sampled 128 companies that were newly listed on KOSDAQ market from January 2004 to December 2006. Among these 128 companies, 64 companies were invested by venture capitals and the others were not. While comparing the abnormal rate of return of our samples, we analyzed the role of venture capitals. In sum, this study shows the following results; First, the abnormal rate of return tends to be higher for the companies that were invested by venture capital. From this result, we conclude that venture capital neither successfully minimize the information asymmetry, nor prevent undervaluation of companies. Regression analysis on individual independent variable shows that the abnormal rate of return on the first day of trade (AR1) is affected by the factors such as the total amount of public subscription, the equity ownership percentage of venture capital, and the market power of security underwriter. Moreover, it shows that accumulated abnormal rate of return for the first 30 days (CAR) after the IPO is influenced by the total asset of venture companies, the length of investment period, and the equity ownership percentage of venture capital. Second, the abnormal rate of return is proved to be higher on the first day of trade for the companies that were invested by new technology specialized venture capital(referred to as 'A group') than those supported by entrepreneurship specialized capital(referred to as 'B group'). However, when we compare the accumulated abnormal rate of return for two groups, B group has higher CAR than A group. In turn, The required time for the company to go public is affected by the length of investment period and the market power of the underwriter. Third, the abnormal rate of return turns out to be the same for the companies that were invested by many capital and those that were invested by only one capital. In other words, venture capital don't collaborate together for exchanging information or providing strategic advise to the companies when they make joint investments, and they fail to prevent undervaluing the companies.

This study investigates the correlation effect of cyber consumer's surfing (visiting) behaviors on their direct purchasing rates in an internet shopping mall. An web log analysis of an internet shopping mall, Poongsooin (www.poongsooin.co.kr), run by the 2nd author since 2007, has been utilized. The cyber comsumer's behaviors including residence time, page views, visit frequency, searched key words have been considered in this study to evaluate how these factors significantly affect the actual buying rates of them. Based on the investigation, the longer residence time, the more page views, and/or the higher visit frequency in general result in the higher buying rates. For the keyword search, it was found that the domain leading higher buying rate is “bookmark” and that the detailed key words on Ginseng such as Keumsan Ginseng, Keumsan Ginseng Festival, Ginseng Festival, etc. help to increase the buying rates whereas the representative key words such as Ginseng and Hongsam does not. However, more systematic study needs to be done to generalize the finding of this study, since this study dealt with the web long results of only one internet shopping mall.

The purpose of this study is to find the direction to improve the achievements of small-medium and venture business by analyzing on‐line start-up and distribution strategy. For this the concept of internet intermediation was introduced to find the solution. When summarizing the results of the study, small-medium and venture business that are preparing for on‐line start-up and distribution strategy shall remember the followings. First, the efforts and the goal of the founder are influenced by the use characteristics of Internet intermediation and performance satisfaction. Second, when preparing the products, we need to pay more attention to the item types and product price rather than number of the product types or the number of sold products. Third, the level of understanding of Internet intermediation and the level of use of Internet intermediation make impacts on the achievements. Founders or managers shall remember this and study about the internet intermediation and their use.

It is sure that UCC is a main media phenomenon which can lead to Economic, Social and Cultural changes but, “Video UCC”is no more than a subset of a big revolution of UCC and occupies a tiny little field in the market of the platforms of the Moving Pictures. However, taking a view of the right function of UCC, UCC provides users with the opportunity of getting born of new valued contents and service and showing users' ability to many Netizens easily and widely, and does an enterprise with the place where can promote its products effectively by communicating with its customers much more closely. It is essential that people should enjoy the UCC. In other words, producer, consumer and enterprise who are enjoyable can take the glory of the opportunity. Now, thinking over the reverse function of the UCC which is apt to disclose lascivious and sensational contents to young boys and girls defenselessly due to the fact that UCC is for the purpose of providing free and easy information for many and unspecified persons, it is necessary to build a specialized industry-public-Academy organization which is responsible for enacting and spreading a law for “a guideline of production and distribution of sound UCC” including a monitoring program of its distribution information to prevent the production and the distribution of unsound UCC, while this organization encourages users to make a sound UCC Site with ease.

ICT industry has been considered as an important function of growth power in the economy in Korea from many perspectives, and it is contributing to increase in productivity in all fields of industry and economy. By far, the korean government was interested in developing ICT industry in its industry development plan, but in the future it should focus on the utilization of ICT as a means of improving economic efficiency and increasing productivity in all fields of industry. Especially, it should overcome low productivity which is the main obstacle in transferring into service economy through motivating the growth of service industry. In order to overcome the problem of low productivity, it needs to make an endeavor to improve various factors which affect productivity, and the practical use of ICT is one of them. Under the circumstances, this study focuses on the effective and efficient use of ICT as a means of important fact for increasing productivity in service industry. The research was carried out based on the assumption that the use of ICT induces the motivation of growth in service industry by increasing productivity, and from this perspectives, this study tries to deduct the government policy leading to increasing productivity by analyzing the utilization rate of ICT and also analyzing the effect of application of ICT and restrictive factors of practical use of ICT.
