The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical view and physical activities in hwarangdo. To achieve the purpose of this study, Surveyed the status quo of korean scholar`s studies on the hwarangdo. Inquiring into what were the physical view in hwarangdo and what were the physical activities in hwarangdo. The conclusions were drawn as follows. First, The hwarangdo pursues the item of the integrity, the purity and the honesty. Physical view for the hwarangdo manifests the unity of the body and the mind. In other words, the hwarangdo had the physical thoughts of mind and body monism that required beauty and goodness. Second, Physical activities in hwarangdo consisting of singing, dancing, games, recreation, and sports. Relies on singing, dancing, pilgrimage, martial arts and hunting for the formulation of a strong and beautiful unity of the body and mind. The hwarang was supposed to be a youth of perfect health and undaunted courage and one boldly stood up to an injustice. The ideal of the hwarangdo sought was to become a balanced personality with sufficient intellectual and emotional cultivation as well as being a master of martial arts by constantly practicing physical training. For the emergence time, the hwarang accomplished the military acts consisting the young-warrior and gave the motivating force to the unification of the Silla.

This study was conducted to verify the effects of Achievement Goal Orientation and Play Outcomes on Mood States of Elementary School Soccer Club Players. 137 elementary school students were chosen as subjects for this research. TEOSQ and SEES were used as instrumental. In order to analyze the data, this study used a SPSS program for statistical analysis, and was completed using mean and standard deviation, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). Dependent variables are positive well-being, psychological distress, and fatigue. The research findings revealed that winning group felt more positive well-being than losing group, while losing group felt more psychological distress, and fatigue. And task orientation group showed less psychological distress than ego orientation.

This study aims to identify the influence of creative dance on the physical self-concept of elementary students by examining the relationship between the creative dance and the physical self-concept. For this purpose this thesis did pre/post-inspections to 78 male/female students of A elementary school in Ahnyang with the questionnaire of verified validity and reliability. A teaching-learning plan of each activity was drawn from the creative dance program reorganized according to each instruction plan of a session, and the creative dance activity was performed. After the pre-inspection of both the experiment group and the controlling group, the creative dance programs were applied to the experiment group twice a week for 6 weeks, 12 set of each 40 minuet session during the regular physical education sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays from september to November, 2006 while the activities of the controlling group were limited to the regular education sessions under a physical specialist. After the post-inspection, an independent t-test was used to verify the difference of improvement between the two groups, and a paired t-test also was used to verify the average between the pre-inspection and the post-inspection. The results prove that the two groups were homogeneous in the pre-inspection with no significant difference between them(P<.05), and that there was a significant difference between the two groups for the factors such as creative dance competence, physical activities, and muscular strength(P<.05), but there was no significant difference for the factors such as body fat/slimness, appearance, health, self-respect, and flexibility.

Physical Education in elementary schools needs higher-level materials than other subjects. Most PE teachers are also the instructors and the demonstrater. The students can learn through the teacher's motions and their methods. Nowadays most of the teachers in elementary schools are women and they used to avoid tPE class because of their lack of professional ability. These teachers want to have more useful materials for teaching and learning. Especially, it is important that they are not complicated and difficult to use it. So I produced the useful WBI material for rope-skipping. Nowadays the development of the Internet and multimedia brings very great learning effect to the field of education. The WBI materials with the Internet provide much multimedia data, so it can be called a flower of the learning and teaching materials. However, the existing Web materials for rope-skipping are not useful for elementary school students. They have many difficulties ; eg. becoming a member, a fee-charging site. So, it is hard to use for learning and teaching. In addition, the floating materials on the Web are just like a flood and so we have difficulties choosing right information. Therefore, I developed the WBI rope-skipping courseware so that every user can apply without problems.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of self-esteem on participation of traditional play class among juveniles. For this study 74 students on the 3th grade of the P elementary school in Nam Yang Ju, Gyeonggi-do were chosen as the experimental group and the controlled group respectively by convenient sampling method. And the experimental group had been taken the traditional play class for 10 weeks. The traditional plays like Yut-nori, Tooho-nori, Juldarigi, Gonggi-nori and Chilgyo-nori had been applied to the class. The self-esteem inventory utilized as research tools were modified according to the purpose of this study. And the responses to the questionnaire were analyzed with t-test using SPSS/PC. The results of this study were as follows : The traditional play class have been shown as having a positive influence on the development of self-esteem, especially social self-esteem, school-academic self-esteem which are subfactors of self-esteem. In short, self-esteem was improved by traditional play class in the elementary schools. And this finding suggests that the spread of traditional plays various and easy to use is required.

On the 30th of December 1997 the Ministry of Education announced the 7th curriculum officially, and it has been being conducted since 2002 in high schools in order by year. For freshmen, the 10th grade, physical education is required. For seniors, the 11th and 12th grade, physical education and health, physical education theory, or physical education practice is elective according to schools' decisions. In this respect, this case study is to inquire into students' cognizance of the Physical Education Class which is going on Korean high schools currently. Students are quite interested in the Physical Education Class, however, some difficulties were found in terms of organizing and managing it. It seems to be difficult for students to understand the whole curriculum and to select classes needed for them. In the past, traditional physical education classes were not considered to be organized systematically and to assess students properly. To overcome these teachers and physical educators have tried hard with effort and research works. As a result, most of the high school students could get positive attitudes towards to physical education classes. On the other hand, some students still have negative and passive attitudes. The university entrance examination has so crucial position in Korean education system that artistic and physical classes tend to be regarded as minor. Therefore, it is necessary for all to change negative attitudes to physical education. With this youths in Korea can have sound bodies and mind.

The purpose of the study was to examine the difference of the Physical fitness grade of elementary school girls to their heart function in a bid to let them wake up to the importance of their health status and the necessity of exercise. And it's also intended to lay the foundation for improving school Physical education activities. The subjects in this study were 16 students who were selected by random sampling from among girls in their sixth year of J elementary school located in the city of Incheon. Out of them, eight female children ranked hight Physical fitness, and the others were rated low. In the first phase of the study, the participants were exposed to physical examination. For the comparison of wave pattern, ST segment slope was also utilized, which shows myocardium hypertrophy, while the subjects exercised using Modified Kiss(re) Protocol. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 program, and Mann-Whitney U Signed Ranks Test was employed, which was a nonparametric test. The level of significance was set at p<.05. The findings of the study were as follows: There was significant mean rank difference in R-R, P-R. However, no significant mean rank difference was found in QRS duration. Hight physical fitness grade electrocardiogram's amplitudes and ST segments slope had no significant mean rank difference, hight grade showed more adaptations to exercise, which meant left ventricle myocardium hypertrophy cant in stage 5.
