This study aims to develope an evaluation model for quality competitiveness of management systems of enterprises and to facilitate continuous management innovation of enterprises. In this study, quality evaluation model was established in reference with the previous theory and evaluation models and verified through statistical methods based on the survey data of ISO 9001 certified enterprises. The evaluation model of this study would greatly contribute to the evaluation of outcomes of quality management processes and reliability of enterprises to cope with knowledge - based management.

The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of organization climate,communication, competition variables on innovation and performance. For the study, the data are gathered from technology-based woman CEO small businesses. We prove these results with empirical method of structural equation model and LISREL program.

There is a growing concern about customer participation as a way of improving the productivity of company that based on internet environment. More and more ustomers have wanted to participate in marketing activities of companies. Many scholars have studied these phenomenons with favor. But participating customer not always help the productivity of company. Sometimes customers bother the marketing policy of company with customer participation. Customer participation is a kind of double-edged sword to a company. We need to find how to manage customer participation to help to improve productivity of company. However, little Marketing research has examined the ambilaterality of customer participation. In the research ambilateral intentions of customer articipation are suggested: negative-direction customer participation and positive-direction customer participation. The antecedents' variables and mediators in internet environments were investigated. The finding summarized as follows. The proposed two determinants, fairness and rewards, were significant antecedents to customer participation and the relationships between antecedents and direction of customer participation are mediated by community commitment and product commitment. Especially two mediators, community commitment and product commitment, have found that they have different influence to customer participation. Product commitment have positive influence on helping productivity of company through reducing negative-direction customer participation and increasing positive-direction customer participation but community commitment have ambilateral influence. Community commitment increases positive-direction customer participation but it also increases negative-direction customer participation. Implications of this study are discussed for researchers and managers.

재무곤경비용 결정모형과 재무생산성

The purposes of this paper are to build theoretical and empirically testable model to improve financial productivity for identifying determining factors of financial distress cost, and to analyze this model empirically using the Korea Stock Exchange panel data, and to test the impact of IMF crisis on the determinants. The financial productivity factors of determining financial distress cost identified in this paper include firm's liquidity policy, financing policy, growth opportunity, business risk, profitability, size and chaebol-non chaebol dummy variable. Empirical panel estimation test reveals that this model can explain about 49.8% of the cross sectional variance in the financial distress cost. The regression results on the model variables are generally in line with predictions. But the coefficient estimates on growth opportunity is never significant. And it appears that the exogenous variable which explains IMF crisis has positive effect on the determinants of financial distress cost.

수출품구성의 변화가 총요소생산성에 미치는 영향

With the view that trade expansion allows export products structure advance and this leads to technology and economy growth, this study examines the relationship between technology improvement and growth according to a change in export products structure caused by trade. The relationship between technology ranking estimated using product ladder that represents the technology standard of export products and total factor productivity was analyzed first and then regression analysis on the relationship between an industry structure change caused by one country's trade structure and economy growth was performed. The result shows that total factor productivity increases as technology ranking evaluated by each country's product ladder becomes higher (as composition of product with high product ladder in each country's export products structure increases). This suggests that advancement in export products structure through trade increases total factor productivity in each country. The result can be interpreted that advancement in export products has a great effect on one country's technology growth and economy growth. This dissertation has its significance in giving each product its technology ranking using product ladder as an index when evaluating the advancement of export products structure.

This paper is to design the Integrated Management System of QMS․EMS․PSMS and to develop quantitative and systematic procedures which establish KPI on circumstances of the integrated management system for improving the productivity. Proposed procedures as case study contains stages in selecting and drawing KPI and evaluating, verification, implementing and monitoring of KPI and surveillance. This paper applies avenue as to case which can be used not theoretically but more practically in achieving KPI.

The primary purpose of this research is to assess Korea's Acid Beverages Market structure. This will be achieved by analyzing the household's purchase preference data using the LCM method of post-hoc market segmentation methodology. The findings of this research can be summarized as follows. The research highlights that the 1st segment and the 3rd segment have similar features in the competition structure aspects among all brands. This was caused by the fact that foreign brand A and domestic brand E enjoy high market share show high preference in the other segments excluding the 2nd segment and the 3rd segment. That means utility values are intrinsic values that households give importance to each brand because it doesn't give high intrinsic value to brands that are high in the market share that was given in a panel data prior to empirical analysis. As a result of measurement between cross elasticity and own elasticity, the 3rd segment requires marketing strategy to guarantee consumer's loyalty. It indicates for any market there is a need to develop mixed in connection with price in the 4thsegment. This study suggests competition structure in a potential market segment for an appropriate brand and a company. Additionally it suggests that marketing mix activities in connection with price have to discriminate against each market segment.

This study analyzes the collaboration patterns of subcontracting companies in the shipbuilding industry to explore structural characteristics of the collaboration network and identify important organizations such as the hub and the broker. Using the research method of social network analysis, we figure out the network indices of centrality and structural hole to explain the structural characteristics of the 4 types networks and find out the existence of the hub organizations and the broker organizations. This exploratory study remains many future research topics. For example, we have to find out the relationships of network effectiveness and structural characteristics of the network.

Logistics Information System (LIS) is known as a critical factor in achieving logisticscompetitiveness. Most corporations, however, do not seem to have clear strategies in meeting the information systems requirements of this decade. This is partly due to a lack of understanding about the causal relationship between a corporation's characteristics and logistics information system priorities. In this paper, a set of advisable strategies for LIS utilization is derived from a relationship analysis conducted by means of LISREL. From the analysis on 244 sample firms, this study finds that the utilization of LIS most directly affects logistics performance, while the utilization of LIS indirectly may affect performance by using a corporation's characteristics as an intermediate mechanism, and that such indirect utilization ofLIS has greater influence on logistics performance than the direct utilization of LIS.

Seat inventory control is an important problem in revenue management which is to decide whether to accept or reject a booking request during the booking horizon in airlines. The problem can be modelled as dynamic stochastic programs, which are computationally intractable in network settings. Various researches have been tried to solve it effectively. Even though dynamic (and stochastic) programming (DP) models can be solved it optimally, they are computationally intractable even for small sized networks. Therefore, in practice, DP models are approximated by various mathematical programming models. In this paper, we propose an approximation model for solving airline seat inventory control problem in network environments. Using Linear Approximation technique, we will transform our problem into a concave piecewise LP model. Based on the optimal solution of ours, we suggest how to implement it for airline inventory control policies such as booking limits, bid-price controls and virtual nesting controls.

외국자본의 진입과 은행의 생산성 변화 - 한국과 인도네시아를 중심으로 -

This paper tests the productivity change in Korean and Indonesian Banking Industry after foreign capital entry. Using 36 banks that continue to exist in 2004, we analyzed DEA product efficiency, efficiency gap and change in ranking before and after foreign capital entry. We further established statistical relationship between efficiency and CAMEL variables by employing logit regression analysis. The evidence suggests that foreign acquisitions did not have any significant effect on efficiency. In the case of Korea, domestic acquisitions have significant positive effect on efficiency than foreign acquisitions. In the case of Indonesia, foreign acquisition has insignificant effect on efficiency. Results also indicate that the changes in net interest margin had a positive effect on the change in efficiency between 2000 and 2004. In commercial banks that give more weight on deposits and loans, net interest margin is the key variable of their competitive advantage.

중국에서 한국계자동차회사의 마케팅생산성 향상을 위한 연구 1 : 경쟁력 분석에 기초한 시장전략

We had surveyed chinese auto market from a view of Korean-Chinese motor companies. The questionnaire consist of two main parts. First one is people's thought on Beijing-Hyundai measured by the images as an auto maker. We selected 10 images. These are keys people get perception on a motor company. Second one is about the preference on the cars developed in Korea. We divided car models in China into 5 groups and ask respondents to select a model they like. We get the following information. The cars developed in Korea has merits in the outwardly exposing images such as style and advertisement. It can be a reason why Korean-Chinese motor companies could get the good result at the moment they launched. But the cars get low evaluations at the rest of the images. It suggests Korean-Chinese motor companies should do more effort on understanding chinese consumers. For this purpose we studied lifestyle of chinese consumers and, based on the result, we divided chinese consumers into 6 subdivisions. We also suggested some market strategies on each market segmentation.

In this paper, we describe our analysis of the efficiency of local credit guarantee foundations for financial support for small business in Korea. These foundations provide financial support to small business as an investment. We evaluated them using two methods. The first method was the estimation of relative efficiencies for each of sixteen local creditors by checking their profits. The second method compared revenue between two groups of companies in order to analyze how effectively the local creditors examined small business' efficiency: one business group received financial support from local creditors and the other group's companies were not given financial help from the local creditor. Using the first method, the sum of the invested money from the local creditors making profit that was higher than the average level was converted into market share. This result meant that the local creditors performed their task relatively efficiently. Furthermore, the result of the second method proved that the local creditors supplied their small business efficiently.

Productivity in Strategy-making Activities : The Role of CEO's Entrepreneurial Orientation and Human Capital

While the concept of productivity has been defined at various levels of organizations (i.e.at the levels of individual, team, department or division, firm, geographic region and evencountry), and also the areas of productivity concerns vary to a great extent, ranging from bank tellers’ customer interface efficiency to agricultural input-output efficiency of a country, a review of the productivity literature suggests that there has been no substantial research efforts so far in defining and investigating the productivity in strategy-making in corporate settings. Motivated by the research need to redress this gap in the literature, this paper first defines productivity in strategy-making based on the extant literature of strategy and organizational theory, and then identifies the antecedents of such productivity in strategy-making by focusing on the constructs pertaining to CEO characteristics. By inferring from various studies on entrepreneurship and strategy, we propose a model where CEO’s entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and human capital affect firm’s strategy-making productivity. An empirical test of the strategy-making productivity model was conducted on a sample of newly founded firms within Korean game development industry. Test results showed that CEO’s EO influenced positively the strategic productivity i.e. the entry into new product lines and the entry into foreign markets. However, no significant support was found for the role of CEO’s human capital in increasing strategy-making productivity. Interactive terms between EO and human capital did not show any significant effects on the strategy-making productivity. Finally, the limitations and future research directions are discussed.
