In this study, the design procedure for steel frame with bucking restrained braces taking into account dynamic soil-structure interaction was proposed satisfying the given target displacement under design earthquake. The buckling restrained braces of the structure which was modeled as shear building model supported by swaying and rocking springs and dashpots corresponding to the ground system were designed using inverse stiffness method. It is expected that the present design method could be utilized in the preliminary design without ambiguous re-selection and irrational repetition procedure. To verify applicability of this design method 3, 5 and 10-story structures were applied with 2 ground conditions, 3 ratios of the second-branch stiffness to the initial stiffness and 5 given target displacements. For each cases, the results were compared with fixed-end model's results taking no account soil-structure interaction.

Among various styles of the mixed building structures in domestic construction field, the mixed building structures of upper wall-lower frame system are composed of upper shear walls, lower beam-column frames and transfer girder connecting both structures. This mixed building structure usually shows irregularity of stiffness, weight and geometrics. Regarding the mixed building structures of upper wall-lower frame system, four models with different sizes of transfer girder were chosen to investigate the response characteristics of pushover analysis of structures. Following is the pushover analysis results. 1) As the dimension of transfer girder increases, the upper structure shows independent behavior features due to transfer girder and the increase of stiffness. Although trivial, we identified separate system behaviors between upper structure and lower structure. 2) If the transfer girder is dimensioned with depth of 1/10(m) of upper story height and width of 1/3 depth, it is safe but may be considered as an excessive schemes.

Composite girder is connected using stud connector between the concrete slab and the steel girder. Because of composite effect, the load carrying capacities in positive bending moment and rigidity of composite girder is bigger than those of the steel girder. However, because neutral-axis risen, curvature of the composite girder is smaller than that of the steel girder. This paper analyzed the relation of composite effect and neutral-axis by variation of the steel girders. The conclusions derived from this study are as follows. 1) The load carrying capacities of composite girder in positive bending moment rise from 20% to 80% than those of the steel girder. However, cases that area of the steel girder is over 200m2 can not expected composite effect. 2) When composite effect is over 1.4 times of steel girder, neutral-axis rise to the upper flange. 3) Also, in cases that area of the steel girder is over 200m2, curvature of steel girder is less than that of the steel girder.

The purpose of this study was to execute structural-acoustic coupling analysis for plates with composite materials using Homogenization method. Nowadays, many kinds of composite materials are used to protect noises through floor. but its dynamic characteristics are very complicate, From among noise factors, resonance sound is main reason for floor's solid noise. therefore, In this study, structural-acoustic coupling analysis for floor resonance sounds with Composite materials is established and that a case study is suggested with it.

Buildings are high consumers of energy and therefore have a significant impact on the global environment. The aim of this study is to determine ways to reduce the Green House GasedGHG) given off by the heating energies of model building and the embodied energy of Insulation within walls. Compared with the apartment and a housing, because a housing surrounded 4 side of air, energy loss of the housing is more than the apartment's. The tool of this study is EnergyPlus program and IPCC's Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) method. According to this study, an GHG emissions of the Exterior Insulation-THK 400mm Type is showed approximately 12 % reduction in GHG for heating in this housing model lower than the type of non Insulation within walls. But when the Embodied energy is included, The Exterior Insulation-THK 50mm Type's GHG emissions is approximately 10% lower than non insulation structure in the LCA including Embodied energies. Finally, this paper presented a method of comprehensive environmental load which is related to the passive design.

In our country, heating systems of domestic housing space are mainly applied with floor radiation heating system using hot water pipe. This system has undesirable defects such as crack of cement mortar floor caused by drying shrinkage and irregular temperature distribution. Recently, for solve this problem, blend type with cement mortar and expansive additives or polypropylene fiber use. However, these methods have little effect due to not established construction method such as condition of the actual spot and the lack of blend characteristic. Therefore, in this study, strengthening methods of cement mortar floor are investigated to prevent the cracks using expansive additives, polymer, super plasticizer and silica fume.

This study is as a part of the new disposal and recycling plans of heat-resource waste of Daegu dyeing industrial center. We tried to examine applicable possibility of crushed thing(waste aggregate) as aggregates for mortar and concrete. To examine applicable possibility of waste aggregate as a lightweight-aggregate for concrete and mortar, we carried this study by mainly property examination of concrete according to replacement ratio of waste aggregate. We tested out slump, unit weight, compressive strength and test according to replacement ratio of waste aggregate. As the results of that, if we use waste aggregate, lightweight of concrete and mortar will be possible. Specially it shows a strength improvement effect of cement hardening according to using this so it is judged that applicable possibility as aggregate for concrete and mortar is very excellent.

This paper discusses issues faced by individual building industry clients. These form the majority of clients but, because they do not possess high purchasing power, they attract less attention in the industry. Given that key decisions on project definition and procurement strategy are made at the pre-project stage, the industry would benefit from knowing relevant aspects of its clients' attitudes and behaviors, so that it can support them. There is a lack of research on this subject, and so we first describe a theoretical framework and research methodology that were developed for this specific group of clients. Theory adopted from consumer behavioral research was introduced to develop a general behavioral model of individual clients. In this model, individual clients are assumed to seek and then process information after acknowledging normative activities. To validate our model, a field survey was conducted using randomly selected individual clients. Their opinions on the importance and difficulty of 12 normative activities were analysed to establish a general attitude. Information seeking behaviour was investigated by measuring the frequency and type of source that they contacted to conduct the normative activities. The attitudes and information seeking behaviour presented in this research will contribute to the development of project tools for supporting these clients.

The design phase of construction projects, communication among the related participants has great influence on the further quality of design. However, important decision making are made by the experience of the owner and architect without the method for systematic analysis at small architecture design firms. The main reasons of such a mal-functional transaction are due to the absent of the rational procedure of decision making reflecting the characteristics of construction project. Therefore, there is a need for an supporting tool and systematic organization structure for the selection of rational plans. The objective of this study is to propose rational design system and methodology of decision making at small architecture design firms. To achieve these objectives, this study 1) analyzes the organizaion structure and project delivery system based on the small architecture design firms in busan, 2) performs a case study to embody the problems of business systems and, 3) proposes a organization structure model and rational plans of business by analyzing the results of case study and interviewing experts.
