다문화 청소년의 이른 음주시작과 문제음주가 우울감을 매개로 자살행동에 미치는 영향

This study aimed to examine the direct influences of early onset of drinking and problem drinking on suicidal behavior and the mediating effect of depression among multicultural adolescents in South Korea. For this purpose, this study was performed based on a sample of 952 multicultural adolescents living with at least one foreign-born parent from the 13th Korea Risk Behavior Web-based Survey conducted in 2017. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, early onset of drinking was associated with higher likelihood of having suicidal behavior among multicultural adolescents. Second, problem drinking was also associated with higher likelihood of having suicidal behavior among multicultural adolescents. Finally, multicultural adolescents’ depression partially mediated the influence of early onset of drinking on suicidal behavior, and perfectly mediated the influence of problem drinking on suicidal behavior. Based on the findings stated above, this study discussed ways to reduce and prevent suicidal behavior among multicultural adolescents.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of appearance appreciation in the relationship between parents' and peers' appearance management behaviors and criticism about appearance and adaptive eating. Participants were 236 female college students. All participants completed the questionnaires, including the Parents' Appearance Management Behavior Scale, Peers' Appearance Management Behavior Scale, Criticism about Appearance from Parents Scale, Criticism about Appearance from Peers Scale, Appearance Appreciation Scale, and Adaptive Eating Scale. The data were analyzed with a structural equation modeling using the AMOS program. The results of the study are summarized as follows: First, The relationship between parents appearance management behavior and adaptive eating was not mediated by appearance appreciation. Second, The relationship between peers appearance management behavior and adaptive eating was mediated by appearance appreciation. Third, The relationship between criticism about appearance from parents and adaptive eating was not mediated by appearance appreciation. Fourth, The relationship between criticism about appearance from peers and adaptive eating was not mediated by appearance appreciation. These results showed that appearance appreciation mediated the relationship between peers appearance management behavior and adaptive eating. The findings of this study suggest informations to improve female college students' adaptive eating.

학교 식생활 공간의 다용도 활용 분석

This study seeks to present multiple ways of using school meal living spaces as a venue for student activities, communication with students, and activities with local communities in accordance with the 2015 revised educational curriculum and launch of the free semester system at middle schools. The findings were as follows. First, the 2015 revised education curriculum and the use of the space for activities within the free semester system at middle schools. The school meal living space was found to be used for autonomous activities, club activities, career exploration activities, subject discussions and debates, nutritional education sessions, etiquette sessions, individual learning and small-group learning activities that are necessary in the new curriculum and the free semester system. Second, use of the space for student activities such as student governance activities. If glass walls, portable partitions, tables and chairs are prepared, the space can be used for student committee meetings, discussion rooms prior to volunteer activities and preparation rooms for school events such as festivals. Third, use of the space for communication among students. The suggested usages of the space were cited as a conversation space with friends, break space such as a music appreciation room, room for small group activities, indoor game or play space and space that could be used by individuals for breaks or activities. Fourth, the usage of space for local residents of the community. When used for this purpose, the use of the space as a space to participate in the free semester program, a space for life-long education for local residents and a space for club activities for parents of students were ranked the highest. The space was also noted to be usable as a break room, a community exchange room and meeting room.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effects of moral identity the relationships between danger invulnerability and risk behavior and to investigate the mediating effects of peer attachment the relationships between psychological invulnerability and depression of adolescents. The subjects of the study were 394 adolescents who were selected from second grade of middle school and first grade of high school in Pusan. Measuring scales used in this study are the Adolescent Invulnerability Scale(AIS), Risk Behavior Scale, CES-D, Moral Identity Scale, and peer attachment subscale of the IPPA. For data analysis, Cronbach’s α, frequency, partial correlation, hierarchical regression, multiple regression, and Sobel test were used. Data were analyzed using SPSS ver. 23 program. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, adolescents’ danger invulnerability had positive correlations with risk behavior and depression in partial correlation analysis. Adolescents’ psychological invulnerability had negative correlations with depression in partial correlation analysis. Second, moderating effect of moral identity between adolescents’ danger invulnerability and risk behavior was significant. Third, mediating effect of peer attachment between adolescents’ psychological invulnerability and depression was significant. The results suggest the importance of increasing adolescents’ moral identity in prevention of risk behavior and adolescents’ peer attachment in prevention of depression during adolescence.

This study examined the long-term impact of bullying and victimization experience during adolescence on self-concept, social relationship and adjustment among 582 college students nationwide. First, regression analyses were conducted to examine the effects of bullying and victimization experience of adolescence on college student`s self-perception, self-esteem, interpersonal ability, social well-being and college life adjustment. Second, we analyzed the Cluster analysis to examine the types of bullying and victimization experience in their adolescence. Third, we conducted one-way ANOVA to examine the differences according to the types in self-perception, self-esteem, interpersonal ability, social well-being, and college life adjustment. The results of analyses showed that (a) bullying experience of adolescence negatively affected the self-perception of college students, and victimization experience of adolescence negatively affected self-perception, self-esteem, interpersonal abilities, social well-being and college life adjustment of college students, (b) according to their bullying and victimization experiences during adolescence, the group were divided into four groups such as inexperienced group, bully group, victim group and bully-victim group, and (c) the bully-victim group and the victim group had lower interpersonal ability and college life adjustment than the other groups, and the victim group had lower self-esteem than the other groups.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of emotional intelligence on relations between family strength and career adaptability by college students. For this, college students in Daegu and Gyeongbuk were recruited, and 392 questionnaire sheets were used for analysis. Measuring instruments used in the study were the family strength inventory, the career adaptability inventory, and the emotional intelligence inventory. A procedure for the testing of mediating effects was employed to test the mediating effects of emotional intelligence on the influence of family strength on career adaptability, and the Sobel test was carried out to test the significance of mediating effects. The results of analyzing the gathered data showed that, First, the family strength of college students had significant effects on their career adaptability, and family ties among the sub-variables of family strength had also meaningful influences on their career adaptability. Second, their family strength had significant impacts on their emotional intelligence. Third, their emotional intelligence had significant influences on their career adaptability, all the sub-variables of emotional intelligence had meaningful effects on their career adaptability. Finally, the study analyzed emotional intelligence's correlations with family strength and career adaptability and found significant positive correlations among family strength, career adaptability, and emotional intelligence. The multiple regression analysis results and the Sobel test results demonstrated the partial mediating effects of emotional intelligence on relations between family strength and career adaptability.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the social support, career preparation behavior, planned happenstance skills, career decision self-efficacy perceived by college students. Furthermore, the study analyzed the mediation effect of planned happenstance skills and career decision self-efficacy in the relationship between social support perceived by college students and career preparation behavior. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. First, there was a significant correlation between social support, planned happenstance skills, career decision self-efficacy and career preparation behavior. Social support and career preparedness behaviors showed a significant positive correlation, and social support, planned happenstance skills, career decision self-efficacy showed a positive correlation. Second, it was found that the validation analysis of the model was performed to verify the research model in order to examine the mediating effects of planned happenstance skills and career decision self-efficacy in social support and career preparation behavior. The results of the analysis of the research model and the competing model using the structural equation model showed that the research model was more appropriate than the competing model. Third, as a result of verifying the mediating effects of planned happenstance skills and career decision self-efficacy in the relationship between social support and career preparation behavior, the mediated effects of planned happenstance skills and career decision self-efficacy social support and career preparation behavior were completely mediated. The planned happenstance skills had a dual mediating effect in mediating career decision self-efficacy in the relationship between social support and career preparation behavior. Based on the results, implications and limitations of the study and directions for further research were discussed.

This study was designed to analyze the juveniles’ experiences on phenomenological recidivism. Objectives of this study are to examine experiences adolescents had during their recidivism and to gain in-depth understanding of the nature of their experiences. For the reasons, interviews were conducted on six participants among inmates in a juvenile reformatory who were imposed in the 10th degree. The collected data was analyzed through Giorgi’s phenomenological methods. As a result, 7 essential elements and 41 sub elements were found through this study. The 7 essential elements consist of ‘Dysfunctional family environment’, ‘Response to parents’, ‘Getting along with peers, seniors and juniors’, ‘Pure participation in delinquency‘, ‘Experience of illegal disposition’, ‘Lack of introspection on the initial illegal disposition’, and ‘Internalization of values of delinquency and habitual recidivism’. Thanks to these components, we could identify lack of introspection about judicial disposition experience and key theme to become vicious circle of recidivism through internalization of delinquency value. At last, the significance of this research and the suggestions for further studies are discussed.

학업적 자기효능감과 학교생활적응의 관계에서 희망의 매개효과

The purpose of this research is to examine whether the hope plays a mediating role on the relationship between academic self-efficacy and school adaptation by adolescents. For this study, 362 middle school students were randomly sampled, and the collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0. and AMOS 21.0. First, descriptive statistic value of major variables were produced, data were analyzed using correlation analysis. Second, the measurement model and the structural model were analyzed to verify the relationship between academic self-efficacy, hope and school adaptation. The main analysis results were as follows: First, the higher the academic self-efficacy, the higher the school adaptation. The higher the hope, the higher the school adaptation. Second, hope had a mediating effect on the relationship between academic self-efficacy and school adaptation. Finally, the implications and the limitations of this study were discussed.

This study, focusing on the moderating effect of self-esteem, examined the effect of physical and emotional abuse on impact of event in the period of adolescents. Data were collected from 297 adolescents who had used Youth Counselling & Welfare Center, Youth Shelter, or Wee Center. To examine the moderating effect of self-esteem and the effect of physical and emotional abuse on the impact of event, the hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used. Study results showed that physical and emotional abuse experienced by adolescents had valid effect on the impact of event. It was also turned out that adolescents’ self-esteem affected directly the impact of event, and had moderating effect between the abuse’ negative effect and the impact of event. On the basis of the results, practical interventions and policies to prevent physical and emotional abuse on adolescents and to enhance self-esteem of adolescents were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to reveal how the family health affects the development of self-efficacy in undergraduate students, and how the achievement motivation plays a mediating role in the development of self-efficacy through the family health. For the study, a survey was conducted on 518 undergraduate students, freshmen to seniors attending the university located in the city M. The collected data was subject to the percentage and frequency analysis, correlation, hierarchical regression analysis, simple regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 23.0. As the measurement tools, the family health scale developed by Yoo Young-Ju (2013), the self-efficacy scale developed by Kim Ah-Young(1997), and the accomplishment motivation scale developed by Kang Sung-Eun(12013) were used. The findings of this study are as in the following. First, the university students more highly perceived the family strengths than the achievement motivation and self-efficacy. Second, all the subfactors of family strengths, self-efficacy, and achievement motivation had significantly positive correlations. Third, in case of family strengths of university students, when the family resilience and qualitative fellowship were higher, there was the family culture. When the opportunity of social participation was higher, the self-efficacy was influenced. In case of achievement motivation, the hope, adventurous spirit, and confidence had effects on the self-efficacy. Fourth, the achievement motivation worked as a complete mediating variable on the effects of family strengths on the self-efficacy. In the results of this study, it would be necessary to put efforts to help the development of family strengths and self-efficacy of university students, and also to improve their achievement motivation as a mediating variable.

The purpose of this study is to derive and type utilization indexes by comparing public design indicators with preceding studies related to closed school facilities, and to derive preliminary classification systems through a correlation review between indicators. Pre-research was conducted in the scope of academic papers, academic journals, research reports, and special act for promoting the utilization of closed school assets. Public design indicators were set in the scope of domestic design guidelines, the Seoul city public design assessment system, the 'Good Building' designation system, and the UK Design Quality Index (DQI). and the design review of the British architects. First of all, the research method looked at laws, procedures and utilization of closed schools, and reviewed the preceding study and domestic and international public design indicators sequentially. Next, the association was reviewed through a comparison between the preceding study and the public design indicators, and a preliminary classification system for the use of closed schools was derived from this.

대학생이 지각한 진로장벽과 진로준비행동의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediation effects of positive psychological capital on the relationship between career barriers perceived by university students and career preparation behaviors(information gathering activities, having necessary tools, efforts to achieve goals). A sample of 355 university students in Gyeonggi-do participated in this study. The questionnaires were composed of 3 scales for assessing career barriers, career preparation behaviors and positive psychological capital. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows 19.0, then correlation analyses and the regression analyses were performed with the collected data. The three-step analysis of Baron and Kenny(1986) as well as the Sobel test was employed to examine the mediation analysis. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. First, there was a significant correlation between career barriers, career preparation activities and positive psychological capital. Career barriers showed negative correlations with career preparation behaviors, and career barriers showed negative correlations with positive psychological capital. Conversely, positive psychological capital and career preparation behavior were shown to have a positive correlation. Second, positive psychological capital was found to mediate fully in the relationship between career barrier and career preparation behavior perceived by university students. These results suggest that it is important to enhance positive psychological capital in order to foster career preparedness for university students who perceive career barriers high.

청소년지도자에 관한 연구동향 분석

The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic research trends of Youth workers from 2008 to 2017. To achieve this, as a result of searching the keywords(Youth workers, licenced youth workers, youth counselors) through the thesis search site, analysis was conducted according to year, research analysis method, and research topic targeting 52 thesis and 44 papers published in academic journals that meets the purpose of this study. When looking at the analysis results, by degree, it has shown 44 master's thesis(44.8%) and 9 doctoral thesis(9.4%), and in relation to the inclusion in journals, 34 papers(35.4%) were included, 2 papers(2.1%) were nominated, and 8 papers(8.3%) belonged to other journal articles. By research analysis method, it was shown in the order of 57 papers(59.4%) on quantitative research, 15 papers(15.6%) on quantitative and qualitative research, 12 papers(12.5%) on qualitative research, and 12 papers(12.5%) on literature review, in which the quantitative research was dominant. For analysis method, it was shown in the order of frequency analysis followed by correlation analysis, ANOVA, regression analysis, and t-test. For the number of researchers, it was shown in the order of 71 single-person papers(74.0%) including thesis, 17 joint research papers(17.7%), and 8 three-man research papers(8.3%), where the results have shown that interdisciplinarity was good but collaboration was low. Next, research topics were organized by types and analyzed. The discussion of research was concluded based on these results and has proposed the significance of the research and its limitations.

This case was performed to support inattentive and impulsive children also had a problem of child-parent relationship. The children who participated in the study were a 4th grade male elementary school student having problem of inattention and impulsivity and his mother involved in this study were having the child-parent relationship problem. The problems in emotion and human relationship due to the repeated negative reaction and frustration was observed in the children. In addition, the researchers could observe complain of the mother about severe stress and frustration followed by caring the children and the troubles in the parent-child relationship. Thus, the researcher had performed 52 sessions of Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and 10 sessions of Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT). The changes followed the progress of the play therapy was collected and analyzed qualitatively. To inform the results briefly, the changes in the emotional function of the children, caring stress of the mother, and the child-parent relationship were observed. As a result of this study, the author confirmed the CCPT and CPRT has potential for support the the inattentive and impulsive children to recovery emotional function and the parents to reduce caring stress although the lack of number of cases.
