Public youth facilities need to reflect the times that are changing by the 4th industrial revolution, and it is necessary to be equipped with new functions reflecting the characteristics of the community as well as training and experience-oriented functions for the holistic growth of youth. To this end, extensive research is needed on youth facilities that can prepare for the future society and explore and reflect changes in the educational environment proposed in the 6th Basic Youth Policy. In particular, it is necessary to present directions on the functions and roles of youth facilities that reflect regional characteristics at the present time when a new policy necessity for the construction of new youth facilities is required. Accordingly, this study analyzes the establishment standards of youth facilities based on function, scale, and spatial composition, and improves the facilities standards of existing youth facilities to establish new roles and functions essential for the construction of youth facilities in the future, and detailed space program accordingly.

This study deals with the theoretical basis of community youth development(CYD) and its cases of practices in USA. The study includes the implications of research result for the development of community-based youth work in Korea. Research method utilized the literature review of the relevant materials and common values and principles of CYD practices are used for research framework. Study results include youth as “problem-free, full-prepared, and engaged partners” for theoretical foundation of CYD and four types of practice cases of youth development(Queens Borough, New York), community development(Richmond City, California, youth-driven(Red Ridge City, Montana) and civic engagement (Hampton City, Virginia) as self-governing body focused approach. Research results implies the efforts of realization of the theoretical basis of CYD, the necessity of practical and policy approaches considering Korean situation, and the importance of community-base youth work for the purpose of just and healthy community for youth. Youth movement based on CYD apprach with all youth ogranizations and agencies for the development of youth work field in Korea.

This study aimed for examining the relationship between mother's emotional expression and child's self-regulation ability and school life adaptation, and finding out the mediating effect of child's self-regulation ability. The subjects were 445(184 male, 230 female) students in the 5th and 6th grade of two elementary schools in G Metropolitan City. The data were analyzed using SPSSWIN 23.0 program and SPSS Process macro program. In addition, bootstrapping was conducted to verify the significance of the mediation effect. The results were as follows: First, mother's positive emotional expression was positively correlated to child's self-regulation ability, teacher relationship, peer relationship, academic achievement and school rules while mother's negative emotional expression was negatively correlated to child's self-regulation ability, teacher relationship, peer relationship, academic achievement and school rules. Second, child’s self-regulation ability had partial mediating effects between mother’s positive emotional expression and teacher relationship and between mother’s positive emotional expression and peer relationship. However child’s self-regulation ability had full mediating effects between mother’s positive emotional expression and academic achievement and between mother’s positive emotional expression and school rules. Third, child’s self-regulation ability had full mediating effects between mother’s negative emotional expression and four factors of school life adaptation.

The purpose of this study is to investigate potential groups of youths' school adaptation change patterns and to examine the effects of parental neglect and adolescents' internalization problems (depression, social withdrawal). The Korean Youth Panel Survey (2,378 people), a 4th cohort, was used for analysis, and 5 years of data were used for analysis. They were analyzed by Latent Class Growth Analysis(LCGA), Growth Mixture Model(GMM), Logistic Regression. As a result of the study, first, it was found that school adaptation increased over time and after then decreased.. Second, the two potential characteristics of the school adaptation variable were identified as a'unchanged group' that does not change over time and a'adapted increase group' that changes negatively over time. Third, depression did not significantly affect the potential class, and social withdrawal and parental neglect were identified as factors affecting school adaptation.

In order to prepare for the future society and to address changes in the educational environment suggested in the 6th Youth Basic Policy, a groundbreaking software for youth activities It will be developed and fundamentally expand the base where new types of youth facilities can be built. This study begins with cases and prior studies on similar public facilities, such as school facilities and libraries, which are reflecting the changes in Korean society in the 21st century, and analyzes all standards and guidelines related to the construction of youth facilities. It was intended to suggest a new direction for the establishment of youth facilities in preparation for the future 4th Industrial Revolution society. In order to effectively apply this to local governments, evaluation criteria for the suitability of building public youth facilities were presented.

The purpose of this study is to suggest an evacuation analysis model considering juvenile patients' movements in clinic areas and ward areas in a general hospital. The difference of spatial configuration between the clinic area and the ward area and the variation of user types can affect the evacuation movement considered as an interaction between environmental property and user competence. In the situation of a disaster, hospitalized juvenile patients are attended with difficulties of voluntary evacuations and need adults’ supports. The suggested analysis model showed that the increase of adult supports resulted in the rapid overcrowding in the area near the cores including stairs and elevators. It also showed that the increase in adult supports resulted in a progressive increase in user density. In the analysis model, the results appeared intensive in the ward area.

The objective of the current study is to analyze the utilization of closed schools and major cases to provide basic data that can be referenced when developing policies on utilizing closed school in the future. The following methodology was used: First, literature review was conducted to study the concept of closed schools and type of management, and statistical data were used to analyze the status and characteristics of closed schools across Korea, as well as those in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Also, the current study examined the properties of cases in which three closed schools were utilized. The following results were obtained: (1)There were 582 closed school in Gyeongsangnam-do province, and 254 of them were being utilized as rental properties or as other facilities, without being sold. (2)The closed schools were utilized as educational facilities, cultural facilities, income-boosting facilities, training facilities, or social welfare facilities. (3)The physical environment of the closed schools were modified differently depending on the operator type and location of the school. In order for closed schools to be utilized more actively and efficiently, there will need to be research that identifies obstacles to utilizing closed school buildings, as well as to develop guidelines for utilizing them.

In recent years, the compliance with the design standards to be met in the design of kindergartens in Korea has been greatly improved, and it is believed that the general performance level is reached without regional differences. However, in terms of domestic architecture and spatial planning, it is relatively recent that efforts to reflect the physical and emotional characteristics of attentive children, to collaborate with early childhood education experts, and to implement creative child educational environment. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, to prepare sufficient external spaces to organize various activities and play in nature and organize them by area, and organically connect them. Second, to create a stable and comfortable atmosphere of the indoor space, introduce natural motives such as the Emile Approach and construct a clear circulation. Third, to consider open spaces that can be freely occupied at each indoor area allowing active social interaction. At the same time, to arrange children's private corner spaces considering the children's preference for small space. Finally, to introduce and expand the nature into the interior through the natural connection between indoor and outdoor spaces and programs.
