The keyword of childcare is now recognized as a societal issue beyond just women's gender concerns, as the government is proposing various childcare policies to address the low birthrate and aging population. However, in contrast to the various forms of support for childcare for infants and toddlers, such as family childcare subsidies, daycare fee support, and Nuri curriculum support, there is a significant lack of attention in the public sector regarding after-school care for elementary school students, especially those in lower grades. This calls for systematic and continuous improvements in the institutional framework through an analysis of the current situation of after-school care for elementary students to reduce the blind spots in elementary childcare. This study aimed to provide essential data for determining suitable locations for childcare facilities in order to address the gaps and deficiencies in childcare services. In 2021, Dalseo-gu in Daegu achieved the certification as a child-friendly city, and in September 2023, the city of Daegu also obtained child-friendly city certification. This study aims to analyze the current state of childcare facilities for elementary school students in the Daegu area, in alignment with the city's child policy initiatives, to lay the groundwork for establishing an all-day childcare system at the regional level. In contrast to service facilities that are used selectively by an unspecified number of people, childcare facilities are intended for regular use by residents or nearby individuals who apply for the service, with the premise of accessibility through walking from their residence or school. Therefore, in this study, we used GIS network analysis techniques centered around childcare facilities to delineate the service areas for childcare facilities.

The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of the successful socialization process of male juvenile discharges, and five men discharged from juvenile detention centers were selected as participants in the study. And the central themes were "strengthening the juvenile protection disposition and careful guidance and management of protective officials," "positive change through experiences of severe difficulties," "healthy human relations experiences and positive perspectives," "learning a positive lifestyle," and "quick work activities after discharge." As a result of the study, for the successful socialization of juvenile discharged students, it was necessary to raise awareness through careful guidance and management of protective public officials and long-term juvenile experience. In addition, it was confirmed that while implementing career plans such as reading and obtaining certificates, positive identity was strengthened, and positive relationships and lifestyles were acquired through regular studies or work, stopping flying and experiencing a successful socialization process. In addition, we were able to find the context of experiencing successful socialization while making and implementing constructive plans by recovering relationships with parents and accepting advice from adults.

The purpose of this study is to explore the conceptual factors that constitute the sense of local education community. For the expansion and development of the local education community, it is important for teachers, who are key members, to have perceptions of the local education community. As for the conceptual factors of teachers' sense of local education community, six conceptual factors were extracted through prior research and consultation with experts: locality, sharing, identity, relationship, practicality, and learnability. A total of 50 survey questions were composed based on the extracted factors. Quota sampling was used to select 170 teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools in Busan as the subject of the survey. For data analysis, exploratory factor analysis and internal consistency (Cronbach's α) were calculated using SPSS WIN 28.0, and correlations were verified. It was confirmed that the main conceptual factors that constitute the sense of local education community recognized by teachers include four factors: ‘locality’, ‘learnability’, ‘relationship’, and ‘collaboration’. Perception of the degree of implementation in each of the four areas of the conceptual factors of local education community sense showed that learnability was the highest, followed by locality, collaboration, and relationship. The results of this study can be used as practical data for developing a tool to measure teachers' sense of local education community and at the same time preparing school-local linked educations.

This study aimed to investigate the relations between adolescents’ achievement goal orientations and academic failure tolerance, and moderating effects of attributional style for the relation between them. 490 middle school students participated in the survey of study. A series of hierarchical regression analyses were used to examine the relationships of achievement goal orientations to academic failure tolerance, and the moderating effects of attributional style for those relationships. Mastery-approach orientation and performance-approach orientation showed a statistically significant positive relation to academic failure tolerance. In contrast, mastery-avoidance orientation and performance-avoidance orientation showed a statistically significant negative relations to academic failure tolerance. In the relationships between achievement goal orientations and academic failure tolerance, attributional style showed different moderating effects. For instance, attributional style has no statistically significant moderating effects in the relationship between mastery-approach orientation and academic failure tolerance. Whereas ability attribution showed a statistically significant negative moderating effect in the relationships of mastery-avoidance, performance-approach, performance-avoidance orientation to failure tolerance. In addition, external(powerful others, chance) attribution showed a statistically significant positive moderating effect in the relationships of mastery-avoidance, performance-approach, performance-avoidance orientation to academic failure tolerance.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of youth activities on bicultural attitude and the mediating effect of peer relationship. To verify research hypotheses, using data from the 9th wave of the 1st Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS), direct and indirect effects were analyzed with the PROCESS Macro’s Model 4. The main findings are as follows. First, multicultural adolescents’ participation in activities positively and significantly influenced bicultural attitude. Second, a partial mediating effect of multicultural adolescents’ peer relationship was found on the influence of youth activities on bicultural attitude. That is, the level of participation in youth activities increased the level of peer relationship, which in turn increased the level of bicultural attitude. Based on the above-mentioned main findings, this study suggests strategies to promote multicultural adolescents’ bicultural attitude through youth activities.

This research is a foundational study aimed at understanding 4-year university students engaged in on-campus work from various perspectives and proposing educational and supportive institutional policies. The research data were extracted using the 4th Korean Education and Employment Panel Survey (KEEP) in 2019. The study focused on students who experienced on-campus part-time work among those who enrolled in a 4-year university in South Korea in 2019. Hierarchical cluster analysis was conducted using on-campus work hours, off-campus work hours, and total work hours as variables, revealing four statistically classified groups. Firstly, the minimum work group consisted of individuals with the highest economic status, who only experienced on-campus work for a minimal amount of time. Secondly, the on-campus and off-campus work combined group concurrently engaged in on-campus and substantial off-campus work, with lower education satisfaction compared to other groups. Thirdly, the on-campus work concentration group generally had higher education satisfaction. Lastly, the maximum work group represented individuals with the lowest household economic status, dedicating the most time to on-campus work. No significant differences were found among the four groups in terms of academic achievement. Based on these research findings, suggestions were made for the development of university-level supportive policies for on-campus working students and future research tasks.

Recently, government agencies are strengthening regulations to build safe buildings using the certification system. The purpose of this study is to develop and supplement the safety evaluation classification system, evaluation items, and detailed evaluation criteria so that more accurate safety evaluations can be made in the future by analyzing the certification items of the points awarded for school buildings that have received safety certification for educational facilities in order to promote understanding, dissemination and vitalization of safe educational facilities. The method of this study set the analysis target for buildings that received educational facility safety certification supervised by the Ministry of Education, when the safe educational facility certification system began. This study analyzes the evaluation results of target buildings, identifies the range of scores each building has acquired, analyzes the distribution of scores assigned to them, the causes of non-granted scores or low scores, and seeks future improvement directions. Therefore, based on this evaluation item and detailed evaluation criteria, the public and private sectors cooperate to provide pilot application and continuous revision and supplementation as basic research data in advance.
