Recently, the number of students enrolled in local universities has decreased sharply due to the decrease in the school age population, and local universities are in danger of shrinking. At the same time, as demand for expansion of physical space owned by universities by activating online non-face-to-face classes has decreased significantly, it is important to establish strategies to efficiently utilize the resources currently owned. The purpose of this study is to analyze the institutional evaluation items and the purpose of itemized evaluation centered on the 2020 national university facility utilization evaluation, examine the space management regulations in the university, and derive improvements in the evaluation system. In this study, regarding the "National University Facilities Space Utilization Evaluation" conducted by regional-based universities, we will confirm the attitude of universities toward space sharing and opening, and proposed system improvement to share unused space.
