The urban space of modern society does not give spatial choice to young people or children in growth development period. The physical space that affects the most important physical and psychological development in adolescence is the outdoor space, not the indoor space. Public Park is the most public space for young people. However, public parks can not be mentioned only in terms of space for teenagers or children, nor should they be mentioned as spaces for only one object. In other words, the publicness of the city is discussed on the assumption of 'openness' and 'accessibility' which are open to everyone and accessible anywhere, as can be seen from the definition of 'public'. In this respect, this paper focuses not on dedicated space for youth or children, I want to deal with the meaning as a public facility. We also sought to explore new possibilities in our society by analyzing actual cases. In this paper, I would like to say that three important examinations are needed through case analysis of Irvine public system. The first is the meaning of park in modern society and the role of community center, the second is the change of public facilities for community, and the last one is systematic network.

As the city expands, metropolitanization has also brought about changes in the human sphere of life. Changes in the area of living have affected the lives of all age groups, and important central facilities also show changes depending on the nature of the community. As a result of the influence of modern enlightenment, "school" as a child education facility has begun to play a central role in society. As the center of local living zone became the primary school after Perry 's Neighborhood Unit theory, facilities for children and adolescents became one important space. In addition to this, modern anonymous and individualistic social problems have become aware of the problems caused by the transformation into a society that does not require interrelationships, and attempts and activities to restore humanity are revealed. In other words, recognizing the importance of community and neighborhood uint, it is recognized that the role of members is important, and the role of community also depends on the region, and the character of community center space also changes. Therefore, we should not focus on the role of education facilities for youth and children as a central area of living zone, but should focus on the change of center space according to modern local characteristics and lifestyle.

Since the rapid economic growth of the late 1900s, as the economy has entered a period of stabilization, the interest in people's quality of life has surged. Now leisure and cultural life are perceived as having important values in improving people's lives. These social changes have also affected the lives of youth. It is recognized that various experiences of life are more important to youth than memorizing education. Therefore, various systems have begun to support this. The youth culture center that provides the easiest access to youth among the spaces to support various activities of these youths has important meanings. In this study, I conducted a satisfaction survey for the managers and users of the facilities of youth culture center in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province with the aim of deriving better ways of improving the youth culture center. According to the results of this satisfaction survey, the lack of external space and storage space of the parking lot is the cause of the complaint to the manager, and the lack of common space and noise in the music room, dance room, etc. In addition, the aging of buildings is pointed out as a common problem for all of them, and it is thought that these improvements will be given priority.

대학생의 학업 및 취업 스트레스가 외국인 혐오에 미치는 영향 - 불안의 매개효과 -

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacts of academic and job-seeking stress of university students on their xenophobia and to identify the mediating effect of anxiety on those impacts. In Daegu and Gyeongbuk area, 403 students from two universities were surveyed about their academic and job-seeking stress, anxiety, and xenophobia level. The collected data were analyzes through structural equation modeling and the significance of each path was verified by bootstrapping analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, the academic stress of university students had direct impacts on their job-seeking stress and indirect effects on their xenophobia. Second, the job-seeking stress of university students directly affected their xenophobia. Third, the academic and job-seeking stress of university students increased their anxiety and the increased anxiety exacerbated their xenophobia. The significance of this study can be found from the fact that university students’ xenophobia could be decreased if helping them cope with their stress and anxiety by counseling and multicultural education.

According to the characteristics of adolescents, teenagers are considered to be in the process of growing physically, psychologically and socially as being in the developing stage moving towards to adulthood. Thus, an environment with diverse and positive stimulants are required in order to set and suggest an efficient and effective path. The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for improving school environment by analyzing how the characteristics of adolescent activities influence the utilization of school rooftop of schools. For this purpose, questionnaires were collected and conducted to analyze the correlation between the activities of the students and the spatial utilization of the school rooftop. First of all, the questionnaire survey was carried out on 301 middle school students in Ulsan city. In the questionnaire analysis, t-test and ANOVA analysis were conducted to examine whether there is any difference in the image of school space. As a result of the analysis, there was a significant distinction in the interaction with the utilization of the rooftop space according to the adolescent activity characteristics

친환경 교육시설을 위한 태양광 추적형 BIPV시스템의 성능평가에 관한 연구

The efficiency a solar cell system us mainly affected by the solar incident angle on the photovoltaic panels. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate a solar light-tracking BIPV system as the applicability on the educational facilities. Two typical types of BIPV system by operating system; fix PV panel type and rotating PV panel type, are analyzed in the performance of electric power generation and compared with solar light-tracking BIPV system. The simulation of solar irradiance is performed using ECOTECT, which has various advantage such as easy user interface and simple simulation processes. In order to evaluate the electric power generation efficiency, the electric power generation rate and global irradiation were measured on the spring/autumn equinox and the summer/winter solstice. As a result, the generation of solar power by solar light-tracking BIPV system shows 6.7% higher than fix-PV panel system. Meanwhile the generation of solar power by rotating PV system shows 1% higher than fix-PV panel system. Therefore, the solar light-tracking BIPV system will be an effective solution to develop for the zero energy building in educational facility.

비행청소년의 개인 및 집단 분노조절 훈련의 비교 - 자아존중감과 초기 부적응 도식의 조절 효과 -

The purposes of this study were to find out more effective format of anger-control training (individual vs. group) for juvenile delinquents, and examine the moderation effect of self-esteem and early maladaptive schema such as Entitlement/Grandiosity on therapeutic gains in group training. Participants were 36 juvenile delinquents under probation, assigned into one of anger-control training formats(group or individual). Participants of group-format(n=28) received six 90-minute sessions of twice a week, while individual-format(n=8) received six 50-minute sessions of twice a week. Both anger-control training was mainly based on cognitive-behavior therapy, and videos and animations were utilized to increase participants’ motivation and interest. Data were analysed by repeated measure ANOVA or ANCOVA. As a results, participants of individual training significantly showed lower scores of anger-control and hostility after training compared with those of group training, while there were no significant group differences on other anger-related scores on Trait Anger Expression Inventory and Aggression Questionnaire-Korean version. The result suggested that therapeutic effect of group training could partially depend on Entitlement/Grandiosity schema. Limitations of current study and implication for further study were also discussed.

청소년이 지각한 부모양육태도와 대인관계문제와의 관계에서 정서조절곤란의 매개효과

The purpose of the study was to examine the mediating effects of emotional dysregulation on the relationship between perceived parenting style and interpersonal problems among adolescents. The subjects were 497(262 male, 235 female) students in 2nd grade of three middle schools at M city in Jeonnam province. They completed Perceived Parenting Behavior Inventory, Korean Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale(K-DERS), The Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scales(KIIP-SC). Statistical analyses of data were frequency, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Cronbach's alpha was computed for the reliability of the scales. SPSSWIN 23.0 and AMOS 20.0 were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: First, adolescents’ perceived parenting attitude was negatively correlated to interpersonal problems and emotional dysregulation. However, emotional dysregulation was positively correlated to interpersonal problems. Second, emotional dysregulation had partial mediating effects on the relationship between perceived parenting style and interpersonal problems. Third, adolescents’ perceived parenting attitude had negative direct effects on interpersonal problems. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the mediating effects of emotional dysregulation on the relationship between perceived parenting style and interpersonal problems among adolescents, it was found that adolescents’ perceived parenting attitude had significant indirect effects on interpersonal problems.

The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of high school students’ perceived parenting attitude on career maturity and the moderating effects of self-directed learning ability on the relationship between parenting attitude perceived by high school students and career maturity. The subjects were 369(167 male, 202 female) students in 1st grade and 2nd grade of four high schools at M city in Jeonnam province. They completed Perceived Parenting Behavior Inventory, Career Maturuty Inventory, Self-directed Learning Ability Questionnaire. Statistical analyses of data were frequency, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Cronbach's alpha was computed for the reliability of the scales. SPSSWIN 23.0 and AMOS 20.0 were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: First, high school students’ perceived parenting attitude had positive effects on career maturity. High school students who perceived their parents’ parenting attitude as affirmative (affectionate, autonomous, achievement oriented, reasonable) showed high career maturity. Second, high school students’ self-directed learning ability had positive effects on career maturity. High school students who had better self-directed learning ability showed high career maturity. Third, as a result of analyzing the moderating effects of self-directed learning ability on the relationship between parenting attitude perceived by high school students and career maturity, it was found that the interaction between parenting attitude perceived by high school students and self-directed learning ability had impact on career maturity.

This article explores volunteering experiences of university students in Korea and interpretate the reflection on the experiences of university students in education service activities by ethnographic research. The researcher conducted participant observation in education service club of a university and depth interview with seven students of the club members. The domains that are a category of cultural meaning are volunteering motivation, the relationship with volunteer organization, difficulty in relation with children in poverty and difficulty in communication with club members. The main cultural themes, as any principle recurrent in a number of domains, explicit or tacit knowledge, are the pleasure by improvement of learning attitude of children in poverty, sympathy with children in poverty and one’s helplessness as volunteer & meaninglessness of volunteering. In conclusion, the researcher discusses the reflection of university students as volunteer in individualization of social responsibility.

The aim of Korean housing policy from the 1960s to 1990s was the large-scale supply of apartment houses, representing 5 million houses. They were constructed through the mass production of apartment houses and housing units. As a result, apartment complexes have been experiencing social problems such as the collapse of the collective housing, the residential space of anonymity, and the collapse of the community, which has resulted in a lack of understanding between the neighbors. As the housing penetration rate has increased since the 1990s, the focus on apartment planning has focused on the value of apartment buildings and the quality of the housing, which has in turn increased the focus on the quality of urban life. Therefore, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport introduced “A Comprehensive System of Community of Residents” to jointly plan and develop communities with residents. However, this focus is on improving the quality of public and welfare facilities rather than on the activation of an intangible community consciousness. The combination and the enlargement of facilities are an effort in such a direction, and the plan does contribute to increase the quality of life. However, the extent to which the community is activated based on the communication of the neighbors is limited. The goal of this study is to examine the revitalization of community spirit among a community of neighbors that has been alienated from traditional communities. This revitalization has been realized through the development of community facilities that can be differentiated from traditional community.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of parents' parenting attitudes, depression on life satisfaction of middle school students and confirm the mediated moderating effects of self-identity. This study used data from the third wave of Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS). The subjects consisted of 2259(male 1140, female 1119) middle school 1st graders. To accomplish this, parents' parenting attitudes, depression, self-identity, and life satisfaction were measured. The results were analyzed by Baron & Kenny's and Sobal's mediated effect analysis. A summary of the results of this study is as follows. Firstly, parents' parenting attitudes(abuse, neglect) had negative effects on life satisfaction, depression had mediating effects between parents' parenting attitudes and life satisfaction significantly. Secondly, the mediated moderating effect is existed as the mediated effect of self-identity on the effect of parents' parenting attitude(abuse, neglect) on life satisfaction has increased by interaction of parents' parenting attitudes(abuse, neglect) and depression. Our result gives an understanding of life satisfaction of youth and it indicates the degree of parents' parenting attitudes should be considered.

The present study surveyed the mediating roles of youths’ ego-resiliency and cognitive triad in the relationship between parenting behaviors and youths’ life satisfaction. Previous studies have demonstrated that parenting behaviors and ego-resiliency are positively associated with physical and psychological health. The path model and mediation analyses were conducted based on the data collected from 159 middle school students in Seoul. The questionnaire items comprised the Korean version of parenting behaviors, including parent attachment, parent monitoring and abuse, ego-resiliency, self-esteem, view of the world, hope and demographic information. The results of data analysis are as follows. First, the research model predicted that parenting behaviors would have a direct effect on youths’ cognitive triad as well as ego-resiliency. Second, the view of the world, hope for the future and ego-resiliency all fully mediated the relationship between parenting behaviors and youths’ life satisfaction. In summary, a high quality of parenting was significantly related to developing ego-resiliency and a positive cognition about the world and the future.

The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of parental supports on career decisions and career preparation of out-of-school adolescents through self-esteem and self-efficacy in structural equation analysis. As the result of the study, first, Parent support directly affects out-of-school adolescents' career decision. Second, Parent support has a positive effect on out-of-school adolescents' career decision indirectly through helping them improve self-esteem and self-efficacy. Third, parent support directly affects out-of-school adolescents' career preparation. Fourth, however, parent support did not indirectly influence out-of-school adolescents' career preparation through self-esteem and self-efficacy. Based on the results, suggesting that a parent education program that can improve parent support and a program that can build a positive relationship between parents and adolescent should be provided at the out-of-school adolescent support center. Also, it suggested that programs for out-of school adolescents to develop self -esteem and self-efficacy should be provided at the out-of-school youth support center. Implications and limitations of the study were suggested, and then a follow-up study was proposed.

흡연 고등학생의 금연시도 영향요인

The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting attempts to quit smoking among high-school students. This study used to a secondary analysis of data from the 12th (2016) Korea Youth Health Behavior Web-based Survey. Percentage of high-school students who had tried to quit smoking were 69.5%. Logistic regression analysis revealed that factors associated with quit attempts were as follows: co-education schools (OR=1.32, 95% CI=1.11~1.59), female school (OR=1.68, 95% CI=1.25~2.27), lower-level (OR=1.30, 95% CI=1.07~1.57) or median-level academic achievement (OR=1.50, 95% CI=1.20~1.87), having counselor (OR=1.27, 95% CI=1.04~1.56), the experience of depression (OR=1.29, 95% CI=1.10~1.51), performing intense physical activities (OR=1.54, 95% CI=1.34~1.78), smoking initiation in elementary (OR=1.30, 95% CI=1.01~1.68) or middle school (OR=1.65, 95% CI=1.32~2.06), having smoking friends (OR=1.47, 95% CI=1.03~2.12), smoking amount (OR=1.33, 95% CI=1.08~1.63), the experience of smoking cessation education (OR=1.91, 95% CI=1.65~2.20), and exposure to quit-smoking programs (OR=1.46, 95% CI=0.23~1.75). It is necessary to develop and implement tailored quit-smoking programs considering the characteristics of the school and the subjects.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning of the word 'Youth aversion' phenomenon in Korean society by using the big data analysis program Textom. For this purpose, key words related to youth dislike were extracted and the network between words was analyzed. The key words related to 'youth aversion' were 'women', 'children', 'minorities', 'human rights', 'discrimination'. These words suggest that not only teenagers but also minorities are subject to hatred and discrimination. Repeated use of a word of hate strengthens 'discrimination' and 'aversion'. In addition, there is a critical view of 'adult' and 'power' centered 'society' where there is hierarchical 'discrimination' of 'power' by 'age' and gender difference. The word 'feminist' or 'youth human rights' is used to inform the discussion of resistance and change in this 'adult-oriented society'. In conclusion, the coined word 'youth aversion' was created in the context of hierarchical adult centrism in our society and aversion and discrimination against minorities in society. It is a phenomenon that is reinforced by being repeatedly used through specific Disgusting words both online and offline.

The purpose of this study was to examine process and contents of changes with a bullied adolescent while conducting figure therapy. For this purpose, four records of figure therapy sessions with bullied adolescent who experienced figure therapy were analyzed. As a result of constant comparative analysis, five processes and four contents of change were found. Five processes were spontaneous choice, utilizing projections, visualization, confronting reality and talking directly to the person involved. Four contents were talking about change, making a new attempt, changing one's point of view and catharsis. Experiences of the clients going through figure therapy were described and discussed in a detailed way, along with positive changes therein.

This study aims to examine the moderating effects self-directed learning ability and social support on the relationship between social comparison orientation and career development competency. For this, 700 middle school students (men=338, women=324) responded to the survey and utilized 662 students answers excluding some mistakenly collected ones. The moderating effect was analyzed through hierarchical regression by SPSS(ver.23). As a result, first, social comparison orientation, self-directed learning ability, and social support had significant effects on career development competency. Secondly, self-directed learning ability had significant moderating effect on the relationship of social comparison orientation and career development competency. Thirdly, social support had significant moderating effect on the relationship of social comparison orientation and career development competency. In addition, this implication and suggestion are provided for future researchers on the basis of result of this study.

This study aimed to examine the factors affecting the relationship with nonresident adolescent children of non-rearing parents with divorced family. Using Living Status of Korean Single-Parent Families Survey, this study analyzed 1400 data. This study used the logistic regression to examine the comparative influence of monthly income, period of single-parent family formation, types of divorce, child's perception of the process of forming a single-parent family, child support payment and contact with ex-spouses on the contact with adolescent children of non-rearing parents. Findings of the study identified that the factors affecting contact with adolescent children of non-rearing parents were monthly income, period of single-parent family formation, types of divorce, child's perception of the process of forming a single-parent family, child support payment and contact with ex-spouses. On the basis of the results, practical suggestions to increase the contact with adolescent children of non-rearing parents were discussed.

The educational paradigm of the 21st century is shifting from the educators for 'instruction' to the learners for 'learning'. The purpose of this study is to investigate the main characteristics of learner-centered educational theory by mainly focusing on the middle school period when learner-centered education should be effectively applied and to suggest design directions which are the basis of the construction of middle school architecture space through the case analysis of the applied school architecture. The six major features of the learner-centered education and the directions of the construction of the architectural space to reflect these are as follows; 1. 'Learner Subjectivity' : Spatial composition reflecting diversity of educational programs to cope with student's voluntary choices. 2. Constructing a multi-purpose learning space that supports diversity of learner's dispositions for 'personalized education'. 3. Constructing a composition of spatial program supporting educational methods and experiential integrated education for problem solving in order to apply 'problem-based learning'. 4. Promoting visual interactivity and organizing large and small group learning places that encompass the whole education space for the 'mutual exchange between learners'. 5. The purpose of this study was to explore emotions and thoughts of college soccer athletes before the game and then their behaviors for emotion regulation. For this, we conducted focus group interview(FGI) with five professional soccer players studying at a college while playing soccer. Through this, the emotions, thoughts, and behaviors by athletes just before the game and the effects of their behaviors on performance improvement were analyzed. As a result, first, the players experienced tension and extreme excitement, and support from supporters made them excited. Second, the players tried not to make mistakes and made more compromises than ‘I can do it’. Also, they thought comfortably to relax and repeatedly thought not to forget a given role. Third, the players tried to maintain positive emotions and proper tension. Also, they acted according to the pattern they had always been, and they reduced their tension by praying. College soccer athletes are experiencing extremely tense emotions just before the game but they are trying to improve their performance by controlling their own thoughts and behaviors. The results of this study and previous studies were compared, the application and significance of the results of this study were discussed, and a follow-up study was proposed.
