The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of parents' rejection parenting attitude perceived by alternative school youths on interpersonal problems and to verify the sequential mediating effects of internalized shame and rejection sensitivity. An online survey was conducted on 246 youth in alternative schools, and the results of the data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS Macro programs. First, it was found that the parents’ rejection parenting attitude perceived by alternative school youths influenced interpersonal problems by mediating internalized shame. Second, it was found that the parents’ rejection parenting attitude perceived by alternative school youths influenced interpersonal problems by mediating rejection sensitivity. Third, the sequential mediating effects of internalized shame and rejection sensitivity were significant in both direct and indirect effects in the relationship between parents' rejection parenting attitude and interpersonal problems. This study is meaningful in that it specified youth counseling intervention in interpersonal problems by confirming the relationship between environmental and psychological factors for alternative school youth, which were insufficiently studied compared to general youth.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the moderated mediating effect of empathy on the effects of social isolation and mental health on subjective well-being among adolescents. The subjects of this study are 502 adolescents enrolled in middle, high school, and university in Daegu, and the research period is from September to November 2024. The research results derived from this study are summarized and presented as follows. First, the analysis of the impact of social isolation on subjective well-being found that the social isolation perceived by adolescents had a significant negative impact on subjective well-being. In other words, the higher the degree of social isolation perceived by adolescents, the lower their subjective well-being. Second, the results of the analysis of the mediating effect of mental health in the relationship between social isolation and subjective well-being among adolescents showed that the level of mental health plays a mediating role in the relationship between social isolation and subjective well-being. In other words, social isolation among adolescents has a direct impact on subjective well-being, but also an indirect impact through mental health. Third, the results of the analysis of the moderating effect of empathy in the relationship between social isolation and mental health among adolescents showed that empathy has a significant impact on the relationship between social isolation and mental health. In other words, the higher the level of social isolation perceived by adolescents, the lower the level of mental health. In this process, empathy plays a role in alleviating mental health. Fourth, it was found that empathy moderates the effect of social isolation on subjective well-being among adolescents. This means that the effect of social isolation on subjective well-being through mental health varies depending on the level of empathy.

Due to the lack of clear legal standards regarding scale, manpower, and facilities, this research seeks to provide foundational data for establishing systematic standards and improving related laws. (Method and Scope) This study collects public information on youth free spaces in the metropolitan area to analyze spatial composition, functions, and provided equipment. Building ledgers are used to determine space scale. The primary samples are Goyang, Suwon, and Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi-do, with additional cases for deriving implications. Results are visualized. (Results) The average opening hours of independent youth free spaces in the metropolitan area are 45 hours. The average space area is 314.48㎡ (95.13py). Space functions are broadly categorized into administrative management and youth activities, with subcategories including entry/exit, administration, static activities, equipment-based activities, dynamic activities, food and beverage activities, and outdoor activities. Spaces prioritize rest, activity, communication, learning, and culture, exhibiting characteristics such as diversity, autonomy, creativity, openness, and safety. The objective of this study is to examine the moderating role of social support in the relationship between the intolerance of uncertainty and worry among university students. To achieve this, an online survey was administered to university students nationwide. A total of 216 valid responses were subjected to statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis for each variable, using SPSS 23.0. The moderating effect was assessed using Process Macro for SPSS V3.5 Model 1. The findings indicate that university students' intolerance of uncertainty positively influences worry, while social support negatively impacts worry. Furthermore, social support was found to moderate the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and worry, with informational support, a sub-variable of social support, exerting a moderating effect. The significance of this research lies in confirming that social support is a crucial moderating variable in the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty, worry, and social support among university students. By identifying key variables affecting the anxiety levels of college students, this study provides foundational data for effective interventions targeting students with high worry levels. Additionally, it offers implications for the development of counseling, educational, and policy programs aimed at reducing worry levels related to intolerance of uncertainty, and enhancing social support among university students.
