This paper discusses some variables of innovation arised in the Mathematical Curriculum reform, This means that we should consider the curriculum change based on those variables so that the Mathematical Curriculum could be created on our culture, need of industrial society and nation's system. Those variables could be described as follows. (1) Extension of Compulsory Education (2) Needs of industrial society (3) Change of School environment (4) Integration of School subjects The research method used in the study was the interview-analysis method which the researcher firstly send the questionnaire and then have interviews with the target people. This study also suggests informally a possible solutions of problem that current mathematical curriculum is faced. Those solutions include the change of mathematics syllabus based on the adaption toward the real problems arised in real world.
The purpose of this study is to develop effective models for performance assesment in the subject of mathematics, In this study, a procedural model was created through selecting five evaluation methods that are the most relevant to evaluate mathematics comprehension. Also this study provides the application of procedural model over the span of an academic semester.

A web-based intelligent education system(WEST) was designed and implemented to improve the self-directed study for students by providing them the study according to one's ability. WEST is composed of a tutor agent, an administrator module, a teacher module and a student module. The tutor agent analyzes students' ability and selects questions from a database according to their ability. The administrator module administrates subjects and students. The teacher module makes questions with three levels and administrates questions. The students module gives the questions students and the result of study. WEST was used in a mathematics subject for high-school students. Especially our system was better than the others in study according to students' ability.

Nowadays the number of students that is losing their interest as well as learning desire in mathematics is increasing because of lack of logical thought creative power and abstract expression that present-day mathematics requires by reason of discrepancy of extreme scholastic ability by speciality of mathematics. In these conditions, we reduce the number of learning depression by bringing about learning desire or learning interest on mathematics, and students learn effective learning methods to be voluntary learning of discovery themselves that studies basic concepts, principles, rules through logical thought of students to solve difference of scholastic ability, thus we assumed that debate studies through small group activities in ability group would be one of ways to improve learning power, so the results of our research are as follows; 1. Debate studies through small group activities were very effective because of reinforcing the achivement level of students. 2. By this learning method, an individual or cooperrative learning was fostered, and lively discussions were accomplished. And learning attitudes of students were changed by the extension of cooperative learning abilities through advices or by themselves. 3. A personal opinion is payed regard by accepting an individual idea in the process of making questions. Learners can correct wrong concepts in the process of correcting wrong answers. So if we apply above-mentioned studies with easy contents from the lower grades, the effectiveness would increase as learners go to the higher grade. According to the results of various researches as follows; "The teaching-learning method oriented coopperative debate studies is effective to find solutions to mathematical problems." If small group activities are applied in the educational situation to search the course of a desirable cooperation learning through small group activities to improve scholastic abilities for a discoverable problem-solving power. I think that the teaching-learning method oriented cooperative debate studies is one of the most desirable methods to increase the problem-solving ability.
변수에 의한 함수 지도가 함수개념의 형성에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study is to develop learning materials for functional concept on variable and to verify the effect of how well students could learn functional concept after they studied with those materials. To accomplish the purpose of this study, I developed learning materials and after teaching students with them. I have concluded the followings : First, there was little effect in teaching functional concept on variable between two experimental groups, whereas teaching functional concept had greater effect on forming functional concept in high level groups in those two experimental groups. Second, teaching functional concept on variable had little effect on students' understanding of functional concept and perfecting tables in Black box, graph, and mathematical problems, whereas there was much effect in students' understanding functional concept and solving relation formula, image, and range problems related to everyday life or general things. On the basis of the problems which appeared in the process of this study, the following can be suggested : First, we should develop learning materials fit for low level students so that they could understand functional concept. Second, we should continue to teach the basic problems like solving relation formula, image, and range, and understanding functional concept in graph until students are able to understand them exactly. Third, since the goals of Unit Function in a middle school textbook is to solve problems related to everyday life through functional thinking, there should be change in constructing systematic contents of Unit Function in a middle school textbook.

This research is focused on the development of Math teaching and/or learning materials in which the students are centered, not teachers, and which can, in turn, activate and reinforce the students' extra curricular Math activitie The findings I came to have through my research can be summarized as follows: 1. Math teaching and/or learning materials developed based on the students' interactions in the Math extra-curricular activities helped students to learn Math better and to be more interested in Math. 2. There was a positive attitude change toward Math on the side of the students after being introduced in and exposed to Math through the above mentioned Math teaching and/or learning materials. 3. There was a positive attitude change toward Math on the side of the students after being taught Math using the above mentioned Math teaching and/or learning materials. The suggestions I came to have through my research are as follows: 1. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing the Math teaching and/or learning materials which can be used in the Math extra-curricular activities. 2. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing Math teaching paradigms which can be used in Math extra-curricular activities. 3. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing the Math teaching and/or learning materials which can be used in the Math class as well as in Math extra-curricular activities. 4. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing the Math teaching and/or learning materials which are more grade-, unit-, and category-conscious.

This research is about how the adapted learning of descriptive assessment problems influence on the extension of the ability of the students. As a result, adapted learning of descriptive assessment problems totally led to positive effect, and according to the analyses of behavioral objectives divided into knowledge, comprehension and problem solving, they had more effect on the ability of students' problem solving. Learning attitude of the students were changed into self-centered learning attitude and interest on the subject of mathematics were highly increased since the research had started. If we adapt this research to the learning of mathematics after we develop various problems that can develop creativity, I'm sure that it will be a effective way for both extension of the ability and problem solving ability of the students.
