One way to solve environmental problems is to promote economic transformation and achieve environmental sustainability through green technology innovation (GTI). Digital transformation (DT) is becoming an important driving force for GTI. Unfortunately, there is relatively little empirical research and some controversy regarding the discussion of the relationship between DT and GTI. To address the question of how to achieve the coordinated transformation of digitization and greenization, this paper conducts a theoretical analysis of the relationship between DT and GTI, and uses data from A-share listed companies from 2000 to 2021 to empirically examines the direct, mediating, and heterogeneous effects of corporate DT on GTI. The study showed that: (1) DT empowers corporate GTI, that is, the increase in DT will lead to an increase in the number of green patent applications. This paper uses the mobile phone users as a IV for digital transformation to conduct an endogeneity analysis, and then replacing the explained variable and the measurement method of the explanatory variable, adding control variables at the city level, and adjusting the clustering method. Endogeneity treatment and robustness tests support above conclusion. (2) Mechanism analysis reveals that digital transformation will stimulate the potential for corporate green innovation through two mediating processes: improving operational conditions and adjusting the structure of R&D resource allocation. Digital transformation has significantly increased corporate operating income and the amount of corporate R&D investment, that is, digitalization has improved its own operating performance and R&D expenditure structure. (3) Heterogeneity analysis finds that SOE, non-polluting and larger scale enterprises are more capable of significantly promoting green technology innovation. Multidimensional factors such as differences in corporate resource endowments and the "digital divide" between groups caused by uneven access to and use of digital technologies may cause the "empowerment" effect of digital transformation to exhibit certain heterogeneous characteristics. These conclusions provide a new research perspective for understanding the role of DT in the development of corporate GTI and offer empirical evidence for how to guide enterprises to achieve green innovation development. Clarifying the implementation path of the coordinated transformation of digitalization and greening can also more deeply explore the potential dividends of digital economic development and provide policy recommendations to the Chinese government to improve its digital economy development plan.

In recent years, there has been a notable increase in the prevalence of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, with a growing number of enterprises assuming this practice. However, many enterprises show inconsistent CSR behaviours with distinctions between internal and external stakeholders. Some scholars have investigated the antecedents of a firm’s CSR inconsistency behaviours from the perspectives of organisational features, external pressures and CEO characteristics. However, few studies have considered the influence of negative attainment discrepancy. Based on the behavioural theory of the firm, a firm’s previous performance influences its future strategy. If an enterprise’s performance falls below its expectation, does this phenomenon encourage the enterprise’s CSR inconsistency behaviour? Based on data from Chinese listed companies, this paper draws the following conclusions: First, negative attainment discrepancy will increase a firm’s CSR inconsistency behaviour, which means that when a firm’s performance falls below expectations, its behaviour is frequently marked by a propensity for high-risk endeavours and the pursuit of increased resources. Consequently, the firm will invest more in external social responsibility than in internal social responsibility in such a situation. Second, the impact of negative attainment discrepancy on CSR inconsistency is moderated by senior executives’ party membership identity. The sense of fairness and rules embedded inside the party members will mitigate the positive impact of negative attainment discrepancy on CSR inconsistency. Third, the impact of the negative attainment discrepancy on CSR inconsistency is moderated by the nature of the firm’s ownership. Specifically, the positive impact of negative attainment discrepancy on CSR inconsistency is weaker for state-owned enterprises (SOEs), mainly because their unique social goals and political background reduce their motivation for risky behaviours and their demands for scarce resources. This paper explores a firm’s corporate social responsibility strategy under negative attainment discrepancy from the perspective of internal and external inconsistencies. It not only contributes to the development of the behavioural theory of the firm, but also broadens research perspectives of a firm’s non-market strategy in the corporate social responsibility field.

In the epoch of globalization, the safeguarding and preservation of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) have transcended national boundaries, emerging as a universal imperative and a cornerstone of global cultural diversity. This global consensus underscores the significance of preserving the rich tapestry of traditions, practices, beliefs, and expressions that are integral to the identity and continuity of various communities worldwide. The advancements in information technology and the proliferation of new media platforms have revolutionized the landscape for ICH preservation and dissemination, offering unprecedented opportunities for documentation, accessibility, and global outreach. This comprehensive study delves into the digitization of ICH by leveraging the extensive resources of the China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI) database, a preeminent repository of scholarly publications. To conduct a rigorous analysis, we employed a multi-faceted methodological approach, integrating CNKI's sophisticated search capabilities with the K-Means clustering algorithm for data categorization, the versatility of the Python programming language for data processing, and Gephi-powered data visualization techniques to visually illustrate complex patterns and relationships. Our investigation spans the last two decades, examining journal articles that specifically address the digitization of ICH. The findings reveal distinct patterns in several key dimensions: publication trends, highlighting the growing interest and momentum in this field; authorship profiles, showcasing the diversity and contributions of researchers; journal distribution, reflecting the preferences and influence of specific publications; institutional affiliations, illuminating the collaborative networks and research strengths across institutions; collaborative networks, uncovering the intricate webs of collaboration among researchers; subject term co-occurrence, indicating emerging research foci and interdisciplinary connections; and the evolution of prominent themes within the digital research landscape on ICH. At the core of digital preservation efforts for ICH lies a multifaceted agenda that encompasses fundamental theories underpinning the process, innovative technologies enabling its realization, strategic management practices for sustainable preservation, diverse applications that enhance access and appreciation, and research that pushes the boundaries of knowledge and practice. Building upon the current research landscape, future endeavors in this domain ought to prioritize the development of robust theoretical frameworks and integrated knowledge systems, fostering interdisciplinary interpretations that bridge gaps between traditional disciplines and emerging fields.

This study examines the momentum returns conditional on fundamental (cash-flow news and discount rate news) and non-fundamental news states in Chinese stock market (Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange). Also, we analyze the momentum returns conditional on up markets, fundamental news and non-fundamental news. According to Lee (1998) and Wu et al. (2019, 2021), we use the log-linear structural vector auto-regression (SVAR) model to decompose unexpected market excess returns into fundamental news (i.e. temporary cash-flow news, permanent cash-flow news and discount rate news) and non-fundamental news instead of Celiker et al.’s (2016) log-linear vector auto-regression (VAR) model. Celiker et al.’s (2016) news decomposition method using the log-linear vector autoregressive model has the disadvantages as follows. Firstly, it fails to estimate cash-flow news and discount rate news accurately because there exists a correlation between two news. Secondly, it can’t decompose cash-flow news into permanent cash-flow news and temporary cash-flow news. Finally, there also exists the limitation that non-fundamental news cannot be estimated. The empirical results are as follows. When not considering both news situation and market situation, we find that there are no significant momentum returns in Chinese stock market. Moreover, momentum portfolio is not profitable during the cash-flow and discount rate news states. This is different from the findings of Celiker et al. (2016), who analyzed the US stock market. Dividend policy serves as an important signal in the US stock market. Therefore, investors can be sensitive to cash flow news, resulting in strong momentum effect under the cash flow news states. However, enterprises in China focus more on reinvestment rather than dividends, so they show relatively low dividend propensity and weak degree to which dividend serves as a signal to future profitability. Thus, momentum returns from cash flow news are not significant in Chinese stock market. However, momentum portfolio returns are significantly positive in non-fundamental news states. Non-fundamental factors can be seen as the psychological factors of noise traders according to Barberis et al. (1998). There are a high proportion of individual investors in Chinese stock market and investor sentiment has a greater impact on stock returns than fundamental factors in the Chinese stock market. The psychological factors of noise traders may result in the momentum effect. Therefore, in the Chinese market, under the non-fundamental news, momentum profitability can appear. Finally, mean momentum portfolio returns is significantly higher conditional on non-fundamental news states during up markets, which is consistent with the results of Cooper et al. (2004). In other words, investors tend to be overconfident when the market is on the rise, which causes a strong momentum effect.

The strategic competition between the United States and China is a key variable influencing international relations today. This bilateral competition has been waged in many regions around the world including the Middle East, which neither the U.S. and nor China can ignore from their respective geopolitical and economic perspectives. In recent years, China has put more weight on the region as a critical energy supplier to sustain its economic growth, as well as a major target of the Belt and Road Initiative, a flagship project of Xi Jinping. Apparently, by contrast, the U.S. has conferred less value on the region due to its shale revolution and fatigue from protracted local conflicts and wars. The different approaches towards the Middle East by the two superpowers have produced speculation that China will expand its influence and ultimately challenge U.S. hegemony in the region. Actually, China has become a chief export partner for the Middle East and has consolidated its mutual relations with the regional states through economic cooperation. Moreover, as a recent case where it facilitated rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Iran demonstrates, it seems to be increasingly exerting its diplomatic sway in the region. However, it is not likely that China will challenge U.S. hegemony in the Middle East considering its weak willingness and insufficient capacity for that matter. China has mainly focused on the economic interests it could gain from the region, while being reluctant to get politically or militarily involved in complex regional issues. In other words, China has been rather opportunistic to get a “free ride” on the regional stability the U.S. provides and pursue its economic benefits in a secure environment. Meanwhile, China's lack of willingness to challenge U.S. hegemony is not simply based on its calculation to reduce its costs and maximize its benefits. It also comes from the stark reality that China’s military power in the region is substantially smaller than that of the U.S. China is aware that the military dominance of the U.S. does not simply lead to the country’s regional hegemony but could also lead to an effective blockage of China’s vital shipping lanes in the region when the two countries fall into fierce competition. Considering the above, it is an exaggeration to say that China will be offensive and attempt to challenge the hegemonic status of the U.S. in the Middle East in the near future.

The recovery of the Chinese tourist market after the COVID-19 pandemic has been slower than that of the overall tourism industry in Korea. This slower recovery can be attributed to the rise of the millennial generation, which has begun to replace Chinese tourists. The millennial generation is currently influencing major consumer groups worldwide, and millennial tourists differ from other tourist demographics. Due to the changing times, they have distinct preferences in consumption, experiences, and choices. However, the influence of Chinese millennial tourists cannot be overlooked. This study examines the impact of the Chinese millennial generation's tourism patterns on consumption in the Korean tourism market. The survey was conducted from August 10, 2023, to September 20, 2023, through the online survey site “Wenjuanwang.” A survey of 396 Chinese individuals aged 20-30 who have traveled abroad was conducted using a 33-item questionnaire to comprehensively examine their tourism habits and consumption structures. China has a large land area and a significant gap between rich and poor across different regions, so we added items for first-tier cities (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen), second-tier cities (Hangzhou, Wuxi, Jinan, Nanjing, and 25 other regions), and other cities. In this study, the expenditure of tourists consisted of accommodation, transportation, tourist activities, food, shopping, sports activities, and other expenses. Depending on the tourist's travel method, there may be items with '0' expenditure, and in order to analyze the determinants of consumption expenditure, the expenditure function was estimated using the Tobit model including '0' observations. The research investigates various aspects of tourism habits, including expenses and behaviors. Key findings reveal that Chinese millennials prefer short vacations with diverse experiences, emphasizing relaxation and independent travel. Factors such as age, number of trips, and length of stay significantly influence total expenditure. These insights underscore the importance for the Korean tourism industry to tailor marketing and services to meet the preferences of this demographic, particularly by offering experience-rich holidays and encouraging longer stays. Understanding and accommodating the evolving preferences of Chinese millennial tourists can enhance the economic benefits for the Korean tourism sector.

Nowadays, enhancing innovation capability has become a core element for enterprises to keep competitive advantage in competition. However, for enterprises, how to effectively strengthen their innovation capabilities remains an urgent problem to be solved. Meanwhile, with the continuous development of economic globalization, China is paying more and more attention to the role of foreign investment in its economy. The Chinese government has formulated and implemented a series of economic incentive policies aimed at attracting and encouraging foreign investment into the domestic economic market. In the context of China's continuous promotion of opening up to the outside world, the importance of foreign investment in China's capital market is gradually increasing. So, can foreign shareholders leverage their unique advantages to stimulate the vitality of Chinese enterprises in innovation and research and development? This article selects sample data from Chinese A-share listed companies in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets from 2011 to 2021 to explore the impact of foreign shareholding in Chinese enterprises’ innovation. The following conclusions have been drawn in this article: Firstly, foreign shareholding significantly promotes corporate innovation, and this conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests such as replacing the dependent variable, lagged one period regression, and instrumental variable method. Secondly, heterogeneity analysis found that non-state-owned enterprises performed well in the empirical study of foreign shareholding promoting corporate innovation, while state-owned enterprises did not pass the significance test; The innovation promotion effect of enterprises in the eastern region is more significant under the influence of foreign shareholding, while it is not significant in the central and western regions. Through research, this article confirms the positive effect of foreign shareholding on corporate innovation. The research findings of this article provide theoretical support for Chinese enterprises to promote innovation driven strategies and enhance their own innovation capabilities. Meanwhile, this study provides useful insights for relevant government departments to improve foreign investment policies. Based on this, suggestions are proposed to firmly attract foreign investment, strengthen the independent innovation awareness and technology absorption capacity of local enterprises, and build a healthy market competition environment.

In recent years, the world’s major developed countries have attached great importance to the digital economy, and have taken economic digitalization promotion as an important driving force for innovative development. Internet enterprises are important participants in the era of digital economy and also the main driving force for the country to realize the innovation-driven strategy. Not only do Internet enterprises make a huge impact on economic development, but also deeply change People’s Daily life. Chinese Internet enterprises carry the enormous expectations of China's huge Internet users and various sectors of society. Besides, they also undertake more social responsibilities from environmental, economic, legal and charitable aspects. In this study, 467 Chinese Internet users were investigated by empirical analysis method to explore the influence mechanism of Internet companies’ CSR on consumers’ purchase intention. SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0 were used for structural equation analysis. The findings suggest that environmental and charitable responsibilities have a favorable impact on business reputation. However, user accountability, economic responsibility, and legal responsibility do not improve firm reputation. User, environmental, and economic responsibility all have a significant impact on the purchase intention, and it is confirmed that in the above impact path, corporate reputation is a key intermediary factor, and its effect is fully supported. This study further distinguishes corporate responsibility elements. Based on user expectations, it defines the influence of CSR on purchase intention. It also provides suggestions for developing an effective and unique evaluation system for Chinese Internet corporate social responsibility. It paves a new path for Internet enterprises to meet consumer and social expectations, as well as a useful reference for guiding Internet enterprises through comprehensive organizational and management reforms to improve corporate performance and the quality and efficiency of the Internet economy.

In the current pursuit of a green economy and environmental responsibility, the hospitality industry increasingly focuses on guests’ environmental participation, which serves as an important metric for measuring sustainable practices. A deep understanding of the psychological motivations behind guests’ environmental behaviors provides a basis for developing effective sustainability strategies. This study aims to explore the relationship between hotel customers' perceived social value of green hotels and their environmental behaviors. Drawing on social identity theory and self-presentation theory, this study posits that customers' perceived social value of green hotels influences their environmental behavior through self-identity and self-presentation. The study analyzed survey data from 344 hotel customers using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and SPSS Process Macro to test the proposed hypotheses and research model. The data was collected in China. The results indicate that customers' perceived social value of green hotels positively affects both reduction and reuse behaviors but does not influence recycling behavior. Additionally, the perceived social value of green hotels significantly positively impacts self-identity and self-presentation. Furthermore, self-identity mediates the relationship between perceived social value and both reduction and reuse behaviors, while self-presentation mediates the relationship between perceived social value and both reduction and reuse behaviors. The research findings enrich the field of environmental psychology, revealing the central role of perceived social value of green hotels in shaping individual environmental behaviors. This provides a new perspective for studying the psychological mechanisms of interaction between individuals and the environment. Additionally, empirical research has differentiated the various dimensions of hotel guests’ environmental behaviors, indicating that hotel managers need to adopt diverse strategies to promote comprehensive environmental behaviors. Moreover, the results provide strategic insights for the hotel industry, emphasizing the enhancement of customers' self-identity and self-presentation needs to foster their environmental engagement and promote broader implementation of environmental behaviors. These findings not only enrich existing theories but also offer practical guidance for the formulation of environmental strategies in the hotel industry.
