This study examined how the network based on the Chinese Guanxi relationship affects information sharing among companies and the performance of firms with the supply chain. We formulated research hypotheses and models, which were then tested using survey data collected from the employees involved in procurement and supply chain functions at Chinese companies. This data collection process involved a 4weeks survey of employees responsible for procurement and supply chain operations, or those processing relevant work experience. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 21.0. We tested the validity of the conceptual constructs in this study, which include the network based on Guanxi, information sharing, and the firm’s performance. The analysis showed that the network based on the Guanxi relationship had a positive effect on the information sharing of inventory, orders, production planning, and shipping among companies in China. Furthermore, the study revealed that information sharing regarding inventory, production planning, and shipping exhibited positive (+) effects on the firm’s performance. However, information sharing about orders did not have a significant positive effect on the firm’s performance. These results imply that the Guanxi-based network facilitates information sharing between companies and enhance firm’s performance as well. The finding of this study has several implications. First, networks based on the Guanxi relationship play a vital role in enhancing company performance, particularly in countries lacking strong management support infrastructure compared to developed nations. Second, in the event of increased uncertainty in the business environment and a decline in trust between companies, Guanxi-based networks can server as an effective means to overcome these challenges. Third, companies should prioritize strengthening information sharing to enhance their performance within the supply chain.

Firms’ investment in new technology is known as one of the vital factors for national economic development and growth. Despite its importance, adequate investment in R&D is difficult to achieve because of the enormous costs in terms of money and time and no guarantee of success. Therefore, public innovation subsidies are expected to play a key role in compensating for this market failure and activating private innovation. Improving the efficiency of R&D subsidies has been the subject of a long-standing discussion. This study investigates the heterogeneous effects of government R&D subsidies on the innovation activities of firms facing different financial constraints and risk levels. Financial constraints can be a key obstacle to firms’ innovation activities, and firms’ risk-taking attitudes can be the lubricant for innovation. Existing literature identifies variables that affect the effectiveness of public R&D subsidies, such as a firm’s age, size, location, and industry. However, these factors do not clearly distinguish the basic firm characteristics that affect the effectiveness of R&D subsidies—namely, financial constraints and innovativeness. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to examine and compare firm heterogeneity with respect to these two factors. Panel data on Chinese listed companies for the period 2007 to 2018 were used in this study. The data included 14,085 observations from 2,875 firms. Study findings indicate that innovation subsidies significantly increase firms’ R&D inputs and outputs only in firms with low cash holdings or high financial risks. In contrast, R&D subsidies do not promote innovation in firms with high cash holdings and low risk levels. Moreover, these two factors have different effects on firms’ sensitivity to R&D subsidies differently in terms of innovation inputs and outputs. Specifically, a firm’s cash holdings better explain its sensitivity to innovation inputs, and a firm’s risk level better explains its sensitivity to innovation outputs. That is, R&D subsidies increase firms’ innovation inputs only for firms with fewer cash holdings, regardless of risk levels. Meanwhile, R&D subsidies increase firms’ innovation outputs only for firms with higher risk levels, regardless of financial constraints. These findings suggest that public R&D subsidies could be executed much more efficiently when they are injected into firms that need financial support and demonstrate the ability to use the funding effectively. Cash holdings and financial risk levels are two criteria to screen out financially constrained and innovative firms. In conclusion, financially constrained and risky firms should be subsidized first to increase the effect of R&D subsidies on both firms’ innovation inputs and outputs.

To properly respond to new and complex situations in the work environment, lifelong learning activities related to work have recently been emphasized for office workers in that the ability to modify the knowledge and skills acquired through learning and adapt to such changes are required. In this respect, it is important to study the learning activities of office worker learners in the organization. In particular, it is difficult to find studies on lifelong learning of office workers in China. Therefore, this study takes Chinese office workers as the object to explore the role of learning activities within organizations, to examine how positive emotion, passion, and job crafting are related to organizational learning activities, how organizational learning activities are related to learners' job satisfaction, and the mediating effect of organizational learning activities among learners' positive emotion, passion, job crafting and job satisfaction. To this end, a total of 487 effective questionnaires were collected from Chinese office workers who had participated in organizational learning activities. SPSSV.22.0 and AMOSV.22.0 were used for frequency analysis, and empirical analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation model and other methods were used. According to the results, first, the positive emotion, passion, and job crafting of Chinese members have a positive (+) effect on organizational learning activities. Second, organizational learning activities of Chinese members have a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. Third, it has a mediating effect between positive emotions and job satisfaction. Fourth, it has a mediating effect between passion and job satisfaction. Fifth,it also has a mediating effect between job crafting and job satisfaction.

The development of cultural industry has been widely concerned in the world, and is increasingly playing a huge economic value in the development of modern society. With the deepening of economic globalization, cultural industry can not only bring economic benefits, but also play an increasingly prominent role in promoting national influence. Therefore, the development of cultural industry has become the focus of most countries. Many countries have formulated corresponding cultural industry policies, which provide strong institutional guarantee and support for the development of cultural industry, thus increasing the international influence of their cultural industry. China also attaches great importance to the development of cultural industry and provides policy support. This has given policy support to the development of China's cultural industry and Chinese film and television productions going global. It is not difficult to see that the Chinese government speeds up the strategic layout of the cultural industry, takes film and television works as the carrier, promotes Chinese film and television works to go out and spread Chinese culture, and tells Chinese stories well through film and television works, thus increasing the influence of Chinese culture in the world and China's cultural soft power. In recent years, the concept of IP has entered the film and television culture industry and become a hot word in the film and television industry. The number of TV series adapted from network literature has soared, so the massive content of network literature has become an indispensable script material for TV series creation. Under the role of market economy, the injection of capital has strongly impacted the creation of TV series and online literature, and the IP industry chain has been formed. Because of this, IP TV series has been widely concerned, gained a large number of fans, popular screen. In this context, many IP TV dramas in China have gone abroad smoothly and achieved some success, and many of them have been widely recognized in South Korea. The year 2021-2022 is the year of cultural exchange between Korea and China, which marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. As the two countries seek closer cultural exchanges to resolve unresolved political issues, it is a good opportunity for Chinese TV dramas to be exported to Korea. This is the backdrop for a large number of Chinese dramas to be exported to Korea. Therefore, this paper takes the current situation and success factors of Chinese IP teleplay export to South Korea as an example, discusses the strategy of Chinese teleplay export to South Korea, and provides some constructive suggestions for Chinese teleplay export to South Korea. The Chinese government can take Chinese TV plays as the carrier to go out, so as to increase the influence of Chinese culture in the world and the country's cultural soft power.

The Chinese MZ generation has a different consumption tendency from previous generations, which pursues efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This study aims to investigate the MZ generation in relation to VR fashion products, particularly the relationship between cognitive image, brand attitude, and purchase intention. The results show that the consumption value of the MZ generation (environmental, value, and status consciousness) had significant positive effects on cognitive image and brand attitude. Moreover, cognitive image and brand attitude positively affected purchase intention and played a significant mediating role between the consumption value of the MZ generation and the purchase intention regarding VR fashion products. Last, the consumption value of the MZ generation also significantly influenced purchase intention. The results suggest that not only environmental consciousness but also the sense of value and status should be considered in understanding the purchase behavior of the MZ-generation consumers in terms of VR fashion products. The results of this research would help fashion brands to understand the consumption value of the MZ generation as upcoming essential consumers and utilize the potential of VR digital fashion products.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into the workplace, yielding many positive results. However, understanding of its impact on employees remains limited. Therefore, based on the transactional theory of stress, this study aims to explore the influence of AI awareness and end-user computing satisfaction on the innovative work behavior and job performance of domestic high-tech professionals. Data for this paper were collected through online surveys, and part of the data were analyzed using a least squares structural equation model. The results showed that AI awareness and end-user computing satisfaction had a positive effect on employee challenge evaluation and a negative effect on obstruction evaluation. Challenging evaluation had a positive effect on employees' creative work behavior, while obstructive evaluation had a negative effect on employees' creative work behavior. Creative work behavior, in turn, had a positive effect on job performance. Cognitive evaluation and creative work behavior played a chain mediating role in the effects of AI awareness and end-user computing satisfaction on employee work performance. Additionally, employee innovative work behavior positively moderated the relationship between end-user computing satisfaction and employee job performance. We hope that this study will make a practical contribution to human resource practices in the financial industry, specifically by helping to alleviate job insecurity We hope that this study will make a practical contribution to human resource practices in the financial industry, specifically by helping to alleviate job insecurity through employee assessments of STARA awareness, which can in turn improve job performance. Company executives should provide adequate resources and support for the professional development of non-management personnel. As the world’s largest developing country, China faces a great challenge in poverty alleviation. The Chinese government is exploring a unique means of poverty reduction, in which enterprises play important roles. Scholars have probed the antecedents of firms’ targeted poverty alleviation strategies from the perspectives of top management team (TMT) characteristics, organizational features and the external environment, but few of them explored the triggering effect of key organizational events. Chief executive officer (CEO) awards are one of the meaningful events that cannot be ignored to determine a firm’s organizational strategy. In view of this, we aim to discuss the effect of CEO awards on firms’ targeted poverty alleviation strategies. By utilizing data from Chinese listed companies, we find the following conclusions: CEO awards improve firms’ motivation to engage in targeted poverty alleviation strategies. In an effort to maintain their reputation and status, award-winning CEOs pay greater attention to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and are more willing to make higher investments in corporate targeted poverty alleviation strategies. Further, the relationship between CEO awards and a firm’s targeted poverty alleviation strategy is affected by the firm’s external institutional environment, which includes formal as well as informal institutions. For formal institutions, the regional marketization level influences how CEOs impact their firm’s targeted poverty alleviation; specifically, compared to areas with low marketization, the positive effect of CEO awards on the firms’ targeted poverty alleviation is weaker in areas with high marketization levels. For informal institutions, regional Confucian culture is a key factor, and it should be taken into account. Compared with areas with weak Confucian culture, the positive effect of CEO awards on targeted poverty alleviation is stronger in areas with strong Confucian culture. In this paper, CEO award events are taken as a focus and the impact of CEO award events on a firm’s corporate poverty alleviation strategy is analyzed, which not only enriches the study of targeted poverty alleviation strategies but also expands the applicability of event trigger mechanisms in the field of organizational strategic decision-making.
