The poet, Kang Eun Kyo, started her literary career when her work, "A Pilgrim's Sleep" was awarded the Best New Author in Sasangkye in 1968. In her poetry, the methods of images are the main techniques of her creation. This thesis examines the theory of images revealed through Kang Eun Kyo prose and analyses what characteristics of images her poems have in view of "the imagination of green body" originated from ecological literature or green literature. "The imagination of green body" is an important key in investigating the consciousness of futility penetrating her whole poetry. The sourceful power, which originates in the consciousness of futility and which makes the circle of existence stand up as a spiral, is the very warm imagination of futility. Biridegi which is a symbol of Gaia emerged in the early poetry becomes the important images with water, trees, grass and flowers. The consciousness of cosmos community where all lives are made entangled becomes the essence of lyric poetry, which are important images emerged in her whole poetry. Dividing Kang Eun Kyo's poetry into the early period, the middle period, and the late period, in particular, the life images of Gaia's self-organization appear remarkably. Also, her theory of images can be grasped to be originally systemized, naming the space of imagination causing the functions of images as "a tent of imagination."

Marokyeoljeon is a series of five short stories Seo Kiwon presented from 1971 to 1972. All stories of Marokyeoljeon shows speaker s critical point of view through satire. Satire is type of texts criticizes negativity of reality in text standing on the basis of reality. The constructive principle of satire could be expressed that the narrator criticize indirectly the negativity of reality in the story. The text having this satirical construction comes to display aggression to the negativity of reality in the story. However, in this case reality in the story is a aspect of reality selected and streamlined by the narrator rather than the realization of general reality. Therefore aggressive and destructive of satire text is construct and criticize stereoscopically the negativity of reality through critical points of view. They are two critical points of view staring the negative reality and character in Marokyeoljeon. Multiple critical points of view are described with irony through time-error, parody of the biographies of medieval times. These critical points of view signify Korean society where the military regime rule in the early 1970s, "We do because we can". In spite of political pressure at this time, indirect narration through satire made it possible criticism of reality. However, the problem is the critical point of view for characters don't interrelate with the critical point of view for reality. The reality in the story is described critically on the basis of Korean society in the early 1970s, characters are represented critically on the basis of their weakness and the materialism of the petit bourgeois. A fact that two critical points of view don't expose the complex aspects of reality. This fact is resulted in entire negation. Narrator only speaks in a aggressive tone negativity of reality and characters in the story. Consequently the criticism of negativities stay in an abstract level. This is the result of the author's disillusionment. Disillusionment that can not make a proper standard of value on reality is entire negation to reality. In the early 1970s, the oppression of Korean society kept the author having appropriate standard and brought about disillusionment. Therefore we can conclude these facts made a unique structure of satire in his stories.

The prominent characteristic of Park's novel lies in implementing multiple narratives. In 「The Winter of the Year Was Warm」「Staggering Afternoon」 「A Lean Year of City」「The Shade of Desire」「Pride and Daydream」main narrative reveals city middle classes falsehood and hypocritical landscape. There also exist in common many branches of narrative in these texts. In any case main narrative is the one which draws another one, and other narratives can be referred to as second and third narrative. Main narrative converges into second and third one; this network acts as a catalyst to implement multiple narratives in overall context. Furthermore, Park makes frequent use of dramatic devices in her popular novel. This is somewhat relevant to the fact that original text is newspaper series. Park borrows such devices as a part of narrative strategy, like the newspaper series novel which has commands of dramatic effect, such as situation or irony, to meet desires of the public. 「The Winter of the Year Was Warm」「The Shade of Desire」in general, focus on the dramatic device by situation; whereas 「Staggering Afternoon」「The Lean Year of City」and 「Pride and Daydream」highlight the transformation of character s inner world & deed by situation. Another characteristic of Park s novel is expansion of meaning that several level voice make. In a like 「The Winter of the Year Was Warm」and 「The Shade of Desire」as a novel of heroine reveal repeatedily in the women s conversation that named chattering . related motifs; on the other hand, it acts as a device to strengthen the subject and meaning via repetition. Extending into diverse meaning in internal context: It is characteristic of narrative as narrative strategy; It drives the transition of events; in itself exhibits dynamics; vitalize the narrative structure and makes readers firmly maintain freedom of interpretation. After all, it can be known that it originates from the writer s narrative strategy to reveal and extend the subject, disclosure of falsehood and hypocrisy in our generation .

This study was based on a novel writing teaching method developed to induce students etude writing in novel writing classes offered at the Department of Creative Writing. For students majoring in writing at the age of around 20 just after graduating from high school, what are required most urgently are basic skills and fluency skills in sentence. Even if they have quite an original material (story or episode), they cannot write a work approved as a novel as long as they are poor in sentences for carrying the material. The most basic one among problems that students encounter in students etude writing at the Department of Creative Writing is related to their basic skills and fluency skills in sentence. In order to solve the problem, the first requirement is having an affinity for the novel genre. If the burden of novel reading and writing is transformed to affinity, their life is also changed to be fictional. In their everyday life, they breathe with novels and share pleasures and pains with them. They always look for novels, respire novels, and dream novel writing. And this is the ultimate goal of sentence collection. Sentence collection substitutes for sentence study. In addition, depending on how to do it, sentence collection can be done in parallel with 'novel study' and 'novel writing methodology.' It can accept 'reading methods' and 'writing methods' for novels comprehensively including representative novel theories raised in the 20th century including E. M. Forster s six aspects of novel (story, characters, plot, fantasy, prophecy, pattern and rhythm), C. Brooks and R. P. Warren s three elements of novel writing (characters, plot and theme), Marthe Robert s family romance, and Rene Girard s desire of triangle. Novel study, namely, novel reading is connected to the question of how to read and novel writing is connected to the question of how to write. Through these questions, students can understand more deeply the reason for the existence of the novel genre and its value, and furthermore, can refine their abilities to create. Ultimately, this is the role of novel classes at the Department of Creative Writing in university. Like novels, sentence collection is a living world (organism) consisting of basic elements of novel such as characters, spaces, senses, the title, the first sentence and the last sentence, as well as subsidiary elements that interconnect and enrich the basic elements. In case of character collection, for example, in order to collect characters in a work, one may focus on inner descriptions or outer descriptions, or collect from a novelist's view one of relatives gathering in a family event such as the Thanksgiving Day or the New Year. In other words, sentence collection is a task that requires both observation and expression on virtual characters described elaborately in novelists works and real persons who are linked to me by blood. Through this task, students can examine closely the process through which a character in a novel is translated into sentences, how such a character persuades readers and wins their sympathy, and after all, how the work secures its aesthetics and life. Special attitudes toward novels are required of novel readers and future novel writers. They are humanity and affection. These two attitudes have absolute influence on readers view of works and writers spirit of creation. What the author expects from sentence collection is the development of attitude and eye to life and literature and, furthermore, to the world that creators should retain. The effects of sentence collection attained through the process can be summarized as follows. First, it provides an opportunity to rediscover the novel genre. Second, it forms an affinity for novels in readers so that they keep reading novels. Third, it promotes the development of sentence skills through reading. And lastly, it equips students with advanced sentence skills as well as an active and creative attitude toward novel writing. Sentence reflects the writer s temperament, spirit, sentiment and world view. It is rather difficult to recognize elaborated sentences and to be impressed by them. For this, it is essential to have a humane eye and mind to see human beings and the world. The ultimate purpose of sentence collection is to provide literature students at the age of around 20 just after graduating from high school with a method for exploring humans, literature and the world, and ultimately to induce them to write a novel, that is, a marvelous universe. The author s research on sentence collection is at its starting point. More specialized area will be established through the development and application of different in-depth approaches.
