This study compared and analyzed the differences in workers' perceptions by work type for the safety roles and responsibilities of field managers and workers. The considered work types were earth work, RC work, temporary work, steel work, electrical work, mechanical work, landscaping work, dry finishing work, and wet finishing work. The questionnaire was composed of manager's safety compliance, manager's safety practice, worker's accident reporting, worker's noncompliance with safety rules, and worker's perception of safety. ANOVA analysis was performed on the response results. Results shows that the manager's safety compliance in the temporary work was found to be high, whereas the levels of manager's safety compliance were lower in earth work and RC work compared to other work types. For manager's safety practice, there was a significant difference in earth work being lower than that in electrical and mechanical work. When examining worker's perception of noncompliance with safety rules, temporary work, electrical work, landscaping work, and dry finishing work showed higher noncompliance compared to other work types.

This study seeks to provide empirical evidence for its usability by comparing and analyzing the deliberative effects of online public deliberation, which is growing as a new type of public deliberation, with the deliberative effects of traditional face-to-face public deliberation. In this study, the 2019 Gyeonggi provincial government policy face-to-face public deliberation and the 2020 Gyeonggi provincial government policy online public deliberation, which were conducted with the same organizer, host, and agenda, were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, online public deliberation showed similar deliberative effects to face-to-face public deliberation in terms of both individual and collective rationality. In particular, it showed high deliberative effects in terms of personal rationality. However, when limited to deliberative discussions, face-to-face discussions were still more effective than online discussions. The results of this analysis suggest that the use of online public deliberation can be actively considered in cases where expanding consensus on major policies and laying the foundation for consensus formation are needed, and that face-to-face public deliberation would be preferable in matters that require collective decision-making through in-depth deliberation.

This study tested the mediating and moderating effects of self-efficacy on the relationship between job stress and socio-psychological health among 420 train drivers. According to the results of the correlation analysis, job stress showed a significant positive correlation with socio-psychological health problems, and self-efficacy showed a significant negative correlation with job stress and socio-psychological health problems. The results of the Process macro analysis showed that job stress has not only a direct effect on socio-psychological health problems but also has an indirect effect through the mediation of self-efficacy. The moderating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between job stress and socio-psychological health problems was significant. Higher levels of job stress increased socio-psychological health problems, but higher levels of self-efficacy reduced the effect of job stress on socio-psychological health problems. These results suggest that it is essential to increase self-efficacy to reduce job stress and improve the socio-psychological health of train drivers.

This study comprehensively analyzed the integration of disaster management strategies and urban master planning in Cheongju, employing the 10 core essential elements of the Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR 2030) framework as a benchmark. The findings reveal that Cheongju is equipped with an array of safety-focused organizations and teams, alongside an urban master plan that is underpinned by thorough vulnerability assessments. However, it identified critical areas requiring enhancements, including the establishment of more coherent organizational structures and processes, the development of more inclusive safety planning for vulnerable populations, and the bolstering of institutional capacities to fortify urban resilience. Beyond diagnosing the current state of disaster management and urban planning in Cheongju, this study makes significant contributions by pinpointing areas needing improvement, offering recommendations for advancing urban disaster resilience, and framing these findings within the broader context of urban disaster management practices in Korea and beyond, suggesting a pathway for future research and policy development.

This study emphasizes the salary increases for enlisted soldiers, leading to substantial inflation in operation and maintenance costs within the current conscription system. We conducted a comparative analysis and predicted the O&M costs of the mixed-recruitment system and the all-volunteer system as alternatives to address the shortage of military manpower. The conscription system would require an additional 4 trillion won due to the salary increase, while the all-volunteer system would require an additional 1 trillion won. We used the latest demographic data, the extent of soldiers’ salary increase, and the active duty determination rate to compare the O&M costs of the conscription systems before and after the salary increase. This analysis includes the case where the current system has transitioned into the mixed-recruitment system and all-volunteer system, considered the alternative military service system, to provide the base cost data for determining the possibility of transforming the military service system in the future and improving it in the transitional period.

Despite the growing interest in art as an economic asset for investment purposes, it is difficult to establish logical patterns for art. This study explores the convergence of cultural economics, blockchain technology, and fractional ownership, specifically focusing on tokenization and its implications for democratization. By synthesizing existing literature, empirical studies, and contemporary trends, this study investigates how blockchain-enabled fractional ownership models can democratize access to cultural assets, aiming to answer the following research question: How does tokenization, facilitated by blockchain technology, influence the democratization of cultural participation and ownership? This study uses a multidisciplinary approach to examine the theoretical foundations, technological advancements, and practical applications of tokenization in the cultural sector, while also considering research limitations and proposing directions for future research.
