「北東アジア觀光交流圈」の形成過程の現狀とその展望

Although countries in the North-East Asia have suffered from different political and economical problems, these countries are concerned in common with the development of tourism for its economic and social benefits. The North-East Asian countries have many favorable conditions to be one area of "North-East Asian International Tourism Exchange". These conditions involve the nearness of the countries in geographical location, a great variety of tourism resources, and large populations. In addition, the continuous and stable enlargement of the world tourism market and the supportive attitudes held by the country governments facilitate the formation of the area. The World Tourism Organization statistics predict the visitors to the North-East Asian area double every ten years by 2020. If this prediction is correct, the numbers of visitors to the North-East Asian countries could compare with those of the Europe and North America in the 21 century. The author identifies three blocks as the core of the formation of the area . The three blocks are a Japan-China-Korea block which plays a central role of the formation of the tourism exchange areas, a Russia-China-Mongolia block, which is still under development, and a Tomen block which is expected to bridge between the two blocks. Finally, some difficulties for the North-East Asian countries to form an integrated area and the ways to overcome them are discussed.

One of the most important things is that the Cultural Tourist Sites have to be vivid rather than fossilized. The vividness starts from the invention of authentic tradition. Anthropologists have not taken up a positive attitude about cultural tourism. Because they hold a biased view concerning about tourism which might be breaking the authentic traditional culture. This is closely related to structural-functionalists who are explaining culture from their point of view, i.e. explaining culture through function and structure. However, tradition always “invented” in the process of continuity and change so that the tradition cannot be stereotyped. The source of vividness as cultural site of Hida-Takayama begins from an invention of tradition. If they simply displayed material cultures of Edo Period, Hida-Takayama could have been a fossilized tourist spot that produced some images of the stagnated death streets. The vivid cultural tourist sites only can be made by the people who are willing to invent the tradition. The argument is that what is invention or fabrication of traditional culture. A culture is switch over to the next phase culture pattern through its own unique process. Cultural continuity need to be maintained so that the maintained cultural continuity could invent tradition. Everything can not be regarded as the invention of tradition even if the culture is invented by a member of a community. Under the uniqueness and continuity of culture that can be extracted from the core system, the invention of tradition can be made otherwise it can be left in mimicry of culture. It is impossible that without penetrating the fundamental process of a pattern of culture, the development of cultural tourist resources and cultural products cannot be made. That is why anthropologists should take up a positive attitude for the development of cultural tourist site.

한ㆍ독 문화관광정책의 영역과 특성에 관한 비교연구

This study is intended to present a prosperous strategy of Korean Culture Tourism Policy with the comparative study on Culture Tourism Policy of Korea and Germany. Thus, the purpose of this study is to following. First, Korean Culture Tourism Policy requires that legal problem on each policy, which is not institutionalized, be supplemented. Second, the definitude of Goal and Policymethod and Third, the cooperation of the government and local policy. The limit of this study is that the consequence of a comparative analysis resulted in only a prosperous strategy of Korean Tourism Policy rather than in a required proposal on the policy, which showed the greatest deviation in operating system.

A leisure activity is essential to happiness. David & Junaida(2004) have reported that the desire that can be satisfied by a tourism activity, a leisure activity which is the result of psychological essence of desiring a tour, and a vacation as an experience affect positively to improve individuals happiness, On the bases of their report, this study attempted to see the relationships of sense of well-being through the extent of going on a tour (frequency and period) and the differences between nations. (Korea and China) I defined sense of well-being as a sum of subjectively aware positive cognical and emotional status and measured it of the three factors of subjective well-being, the life satisfaction, the positive affect, the negative affect. According to the result of my study the extent of touring(frequency and period) is related positively with the five factors except the relationship between the period and positive affect of sense of well-being. The frequency and period in negative affects showed differences between nations but no differences in positive affect. There were differences in the period factor bur no differences in the frequency factor of life satisfaction. A following study on the differences of touring activities of the well-being awareness between nations is seemed to be necessary. I also like to indicate the limit of collecting references. This study is significant of attempting to analyze the differences of the well-being awareness between nations.

컨벤션 서비스 인카운터 차원에 관한 탐색적 연구

The intense competition of convention industry has been required to improvement of convention service. Especially, the importance of convention service encounter has been increased because service encounter is the moment of truth that participants have the first impression about the convention. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to explore dimensions of convention service encounters. As a result of literature research, eight dimensions of service encounter were drawn out as follows; assurance, civility, empathy, recovery, reliability, responsiveness, spontaneity, and tangibles. The survey was carried out in order to examine whether these dimensions could apply to convention field and to collect other opinions concerning the dimension. The target of survey was convention professionals. As a result of the survey, all were accepted as dimensions of convention service encounter and promptness was added as new dimension. It is remarkable that assurance, reliability and civility are more important dimensions in the field. To accomplish a successful convention, dimensions of convention service encounter will be considered fully.

호텔과 콘도미니엄의 서비스품질이 전반적 평가에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

This study searches the relation between the service quality that customers perceive and general evaluation in five star hotels and condominiums in Gyeongju, and the differences of perception in hotels and condominiums' service quality. Followings are the results from the actual analysis. First, in the general evaluation of hotels, these service quality factors convey positive effect : tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, sympathy. And in condominiums, tangibility, reliability and responsiveness give a positive effect to the general evaluation. Second, service quality of hotels is higher than that of condominiums in the perception of service quality. And statistically, it also shows similar result in tangibility, reliability, responsiveness and sympathy. These results suggest that service quality factors to the general evaluation are similar in hotels and condominiums. In other words, customers perceive and evaluate both hotels and condominiums similarly as an accommodation. Therefore, condominiums should make an strategic effort to improve their service quality. Third, the level of service quality of hotels is higher than that of condominiums. This means hotels should have to keep up their high service quality as a high service standard and condominiums should make an effort for their improvement in service quality. In this study, service quality inquiries of general PZB are used because there's no proper measurement of service quality on condominium. The target of the study was limited to the hotels and condominiums in Gyeongju because it was impossible to take questionnaire every accommodations at home.

This research examines the structural relationships among service quality and relationship quality in the hotel industry. The concept of service quality is examined, and a six factor structure ( responsiveness, empathy, reliability, assurance, tangibles, and facilities ) of hotel service quality is elucidated. These structures support the SERVQUAL structure of the general service industry. Service quality is an influence factor of relationship quality, when relationship quality is defined in terms of satisfaction and trust. When a customer feels satisfaction for the service quality factors of a hotel usage, a positive trust to the hotel is produced. Relationship between service quality and relation quality model shown by this research has the possibility of making hotel service more effective.

호텔기업의 Beverage업장 메뉴 디자인에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the design of menu is considering the customers or bar managers in bars, tourist hotels. The findings provide data as materials for efficient menu designing. In order to achieve these research goals, survey was conducted, using self-administered questionnaires from each lobby lounge and Karaoke bar in two tourist hotel, Gyeong-ju The result of this study are as follows: also when they choose the item of beverage, they give the priority on the price of it and the structure of menu. First, the customers look the menu most at the top in case of a single menu, the left top in case of one-folded menu and the middle top in case of two-folded menu. Also from the question about if they know about the characteristics of each beverage on the menu, most of them respond they have no idea about them. Second, customers put their preference on the special menu. However, the various items on special menu have not been offered. The above mentioned study results suggest several points to consider: First, unlike the food restaurants the customers put the high value on the atmosphere when they visit the bar. Thus the bar managers should try to improve the atmosphere emphasizing on the characteristic of the bar. Also they keep in mind that how the menu is structured would significantly influence on the sale. Second, it is necessary to describe the characteristic of the beverage. In the long term, it will help customers understand the menu items and increase the choice frequency of the beverage. Third, because the customers tend to prefer the beverage of the more reasonable price, the list of price should be mixed.

The aim of this study is to find out the change of the villages by a new business in 3 aspects follow; perception of social, cultural and environmental effects. Depth interviews on the fields, which was performed amongst residents who lived in 9 traditional theme villages, was conducted from 1st of Sep, 2005 to 30th of Sep, 2005. As the result of this, not only is it certainly helpful to improve the rural environment, but also it is surely helpful to increase a family income in rural communities by the business so called traditional theme villages which was operated by NRRDI .Therefore, it is required to supports them in terms of the central and local governments decisively. Second, this business was definitely recognized as the useful method of developing the financial state. The discussion is needed to increase the business due to the fact the more residents want to involve in it even if the business is expanded in near future. Especially, there are a lot of negative opinions about the expanding of commercial facilities so that it is requested to discuss it not to give them serious damage in their income. Furthermore, developing new experiential programs, which differ from the existing programs, is necessary in order to satisfy the desire of individual. Last but not least, it is true that the business was accomplished in terms of improvement of rural environment and increase of a family income. Thus, the most considerable thing with development of new business is to exclude the factors that cause complications amongst local people to keep it up. Moreover, it is necessary to make people recognize the difference of individual business and partnership with the others.

The purpose of this study is to examine the tourist life style and tourism destination choice behavior of Korean and Japanese. This research segments Korean residents by their tourist life style and tourism destination choice behavior andy significant differences between Korean and Japanese. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, researchers developed a survey instrument based on related literature reviews. Data was collected from 285 Korean and 322 Japanese. The questionnaire has 5 point Likert Scales, ranging from very important to very unimportant. The research was conducted using statistical packages of SPSS Win 11.0. Factor analysis and One-way ANOVA, hierarchical clustering analysis and canonical correlation analysis was applied in this research. The finding of this study showed that there was statistically significant different between demographic characteristics of Korean and Japanese life style.

The tour industry has been increasing and growing largely every year. According to many experts, in 21st century, this industry will be the biggest industry in the world and it is also said that it plays an important role in the development of relationship industry. Furthermore, its importance is very significant economically too. The similar thought about the tourism interchange can be found in both Korea and Japan. Unfortunately, the ‘profit deterioration’ by low quality cheep tours course of traveling industry is clarifying as the serious problem for the survival of the industry. Considering this, to find out the effective means to solve the profit deterioration of traveling industry, the thesis analyses the profit structure and the actual state of tour business by focusing on the Japanese tourist to Korea.
