단어동시출현분석을 통한 한국의 국가 R&D 연구동향에 관한 탐색적 연구

This paper identifies technology trends of national research and development (national R&D) by exploiting Korean national R&D patents, ranging from 2007 to 2010. In this paper, co-word analysis (CWA), which is a method to identify the relationship among technology terms by using their co-occurrences, is incorporated into network analysis to visualize the relationships among technology keywords of national R&D patents and calculate network indexes concerning inter-relationship diversity and strength of technology keywords. As a result, this research found that inter-relationship among technology keywords in national R&D are getting increasingly strengthening in an overall sense. In addition, the keyword inter-relationship diversity- strength map proposed in this paper revealed some significant technological keywords of national R&D : core technology keywords including “sensor”, “film” and “fuel” and emerging keywords including “biosensor” and “thermoelectric”. Because the proposed approach helps identify interdisciplinary trends of technology keywords from a massive volume of national R&D patents in a visual and quantitative way, we expect that the approach can be incorporated as a preliminary into the R&D planning process to assist R&D policy makers to understand technology convergence of national R&D and develop relevant R&D policies.

Korean core banking system has been redeveloped twice in the last 30 years with big-bang method, but still needs innovation to meet everlasting business changes. The objective of this study is to identify which decision criteria lead to replacement decision of core baning system in spite of its huge investment and accompanying business risk. For the study, we conducted a survey to 64 decision makers working in banks and IT service companies, and analysed the data using factor analysis and multi-regression analysis method of SPSS. As a result, we extracted statistically valid decision model with 4 major decision criteria, which are IT external, IT internal, IT ecology and Executive's will factor. Among them, we concluded only IT internal and IT ecology criteria give significant influence over the replacement decision of existing core banking system.

This study examines the roles of user resistance and social influences on the acceptance and continuous usage of smartphones at different stages of adoption. The respondents were classified into three groups according to their innovation adoption stage : non-user group, the potential user group and the trial user group. Theories relevant to user resistance, social influences including normative social influences and informational social influences, as well as user adoption and continuance behavior were reviewed and integrated into our research model. In order to verify the proposed structured equation model, we conducted an online survey by targeting mobile phone users and collected data to be analyzed through a partial least squares (PLS) test. This study tested whether there exists differences in the effects of user resistance and different types of social influence on user's adoption or continuance intetion among these three groups. The results showed that user resistance exists in all adopter groups and that it has significant negative influences on intention to use a smartphone. The findings also revealed that user resistance can be enhanced or resolved by two types of social influence; informational social influence resolves user resistance regardless of the adopter category, while normative social influence enhances the user resistance of potential users. Furthermore, the findings show that social influence regardless of the type positively affects user intention. Several theoretic and practical implications pertaining to the results are discussed.

This studies aims to examine the factors that affect continuous usage reliability of social commerce users that has been really active recently based on using EDT (Expectation Disconfirmation Theory) and extended ECM (Expected confirmation Model). With a statistical analysis, this paper suggests a conceptual model, based on the empirical evidence from this study. The result reveal that perceived usage easiness has a positive effect on meeting the expected confirmation and satisfaction. As perceived quality, social influence and price appeared to reflect a positive effect on fulfilling expected confirmation. This implies that users consider perceived usage easiness, perceived quality, social influence and price important in using social commerce persistently and that as their expected confirmation fulfillment and satisfaction increase that leads to further rise in their future intended continuous usage.

This study focuses on examining the determinants of smartphone-based social network services (SNS) use. That is, the study explores the key factors affecting the use of smartphone-based SNS. People who have been using online-based SNS such as Cyworld and Facebook for years are now using mobile-based SNS such as KakaoStory. Under the situation, the study attempts to draw key determinants of smartphone-based SNS use from the studies of TAM, hedonic information systems, and social perspectives. To test the hypotheses, we conducted partial least squares (PLS) analysis using a total of 233 data collected on the users of smartphone-based SNS including KakaoTalk and KakaoStory. The key findings are as follows : first, it is verified that both ease of use and usefulness, two main factors in TAM, had positive effects on smartphone-based SNS use. Second, for enjoyment and escapism considered as the two main factors of hedonic IS characteristics, only the effect of enjoyment on SNS use was significant. Finally, social ties as a factor of social characteristics had the most significant effect on smartphone-based SNS use. The result implies that smartphone-based SNS can be one of the major means of maintaining existing social ties.

In order to implement the real-time enterprise (RTE) and smart work effectively, many companies have introduced a mobile office. A mobile office improves employee productivity and increases ability to respond to business opportunities by helping employee manage their business anytime and anywhere. However, it also raises the user’s stress level. We conducted in-depth interviews with users to assess user’s perception of a mobile office according to Saaty's BOCR model. Based on the results of the interviews, we set variables affecting user’s perception of the mobile office using factor analysis. This study revealed that support for real-time business, support for communication and collaboration, and information processing quality were positively related to continuous intention to use mobile office. Further study demonstrated that three variables have mediating effect between the psychological stress and continuous intention to use. This result implies that the system quality and function are the key elements of mobile office and may contribute to the continuous use.

Currently, smart signage as a new kind of advertisement media has been widely used and has had a significant effect on consumers. In this study, we examine the impact on the attitude towards smart signage advertisement based on the Ducoffe’s Web advertisement model. In particular, we investigate how the advertising factors (interaction, informativeness, irritation, and entertainment) as well as the contextual factors (localization, immediacy, and personalization) have effects on the value and attitude towards smart signage advertisement. Furthermore, we examine the moderating effect of individual defensive propensity on the relationship between affecting factors and the advertising value. By analyzing 192 samples from undergraduates, we found that four out of seven factors have significant effects on the value towards smart signage. More specifically, for advertising factors, informativeness and irritation have positive effects on the advertising value. For contextual factors, on the other hand, localization and entertainment have positive effects on the value towards smart signage. Besides, we discovered that the defensive propensity moderate the relationship between localization and the advertising value.

As social media such as facebook and twitter is widespread, social commerce appears as a new way of e-commerce. Social commerce is a subset of electronic commerce that involves using social media that supports social interaction and user contributions. From the understanding of social commerce and literature review, we deduced the research model that relationship, collectivism, convenience, usefulness, low price, reputation, and rapidness have influence on satisfaction and repurchase intention. As a result of data analysis, relationship, convenience, usefulness, low price, and rapidness had influence on satisfaction and repurchase intention. And collectivism had influence on relationship. But reputation did not have influence on satisfaction. The focus of this study is on the effect of relationship and collectivism on satisfaction and repurchase, because relationship and collectivism is the major feature of social commerce. Succinctly speaking, collectivism affects relationship among users, in turn, relationship affects satisfaction and repurchase intention. This study gives a contribution to business. Business related with social commerce has to make a business strategy for managing relationship and consider collectivism tendency for selecting target customer.

In the rapidly changing field of Management Information Systems, the definition and educational programs must be continually reevaluated and revised. A study was conducted to find a way to which the modeling principle is applied for redefining the identity of Management Information Systems as an independent academic field and to develop a plausible MIS curriculum based on the modeling principle. Previous researches on the MIS frameworks, knowledge and technology requirements for IS professionals, and standard MIS curriculums were reviewed thoroughly. For this study, the Kantian cognitive model was adopted as a basis of modeling principle. The result shows that modeling ability has been the core competence of IS people in the field of MIS. The applicability of a modeling principle is also verified in establishing the identity of MIS and developing a normative MIS curriculum. For the MIS field to thrive as an independent academic field and research discipline, it is believed to be imperative for the discipline to have a unique educational goals distinguished from both other management areas, and sub-fields of computer science.

We suggest that cultural differences among nations should have a significant impact upon the exports of Korean broadcasting contents due to the fact that production and consumption of the contents are influenced by their own cultural aspects. Based on Hofstede’s cultural dimensions frequently cited in the literature, we perform empirical analysis to identify the impact of cultural dimensions upon the export amounts by investigating four-year export data of Korean broadcasting industry. In our research model, Hofstede’s cultural dimensions and GDP per capita are independent variables and a genre of broadcasting contents is used as a moderating variable. We find in our analysis that three cultural dimensions such as individualism, uncertainty avoidance, masculinity significantly affect the export amount but do not find the impact of power distance.

Domestic digital signage industry has been growing in line with the Internet and intelligent devices like smart phones. However, policies for digital signage need to be supplemented because existing policies are only focused on regulations for outdoor advertisements. Moreover, while digital technologies have been developed, there are few contents technologies to support the digital technologies. In this context, this research aims to identify the problems in relation to the domestic digital signage industry and seek for measures to solve the problems. Various case studies and literature review were conducted to identify problems in terms of policy, technology and service, and measures for revitalizing the digital signage industry were suggested. The research is expected to help digital signage to serve as new convergence media available for customization targeting and user participation.

In this paper, we report the public IT policy case results to restructure informatization level indices for small and medium sized enterprise(SME). The indices restructuring project was initiated by TIPA with the group of experts during 2011, and the newly amended indices was employed as the formal instrument to measure SME informatization level. The critical drivers to reform the indices include simplification for more accurate measurement of SME informatization level, reshaping key representative indices of smart IT to better publicize SME’s interest toward advanced IT, and systematic reconfiguration of performance measures which reflect business performance enhancement effect through IT investment. Indeed, the IT performance indices are unified to incorporate the instrument for general SME informatization level survey and IT adoption subsidy’s effectiveness appraisal. The procedures and details of logic illustrated in this paper provides useful insight for successful implementation of SME informatization as well as for the better policy deployment of IT subsidization for SMEs.

The identified research result can be outlined more specifically as follows: first, informativeness of SNS was giving positive impact to some degree on the user satisfaction; second, connectivity of SNS was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; third, accessibility was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; forth, usability of SNS was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; fifth, amusement of SNS was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; the satisfaction level of SNS users gave positive impact on the further intention of SNS users. It was identified, however, that interactiveness of SNS was the factor that did not give much impact on the user satisfaction. This result comes from the analysis that SNS is convenient to actively explore and get further information that users wish to find, while they are insufficient in function to provide the information other users require or exchange information among users through the SNS.

It is a daunting task to theorize the process effectiveness of IT convergence based service model. Despite the criticalness of investigating process enhancement impact of IT-convergence based service model, the theoretical research in this field is relatively scarce, possibly due to the too wide and comprehensiveness of research scope. In this vein, we conducted exploratory study to understand the contributional impact of IT convergence based service model on resolving service process limitations. We first identified five IT convergence based service models in the area of typical service industry, which include entertainment, learning, location based services, tourism, and healthcare. Our research model classified value creation factors of the IT convergence model in twofold. The one is defined as basic value creation factor of the IT convergence, which is treated as the second-order factor that consists of two first-order factors of mobile functionality and Internet with digital contents merging functionality. The other is defined as service process limitations resolving factor which are comprised with the two first-order factors of simultaneousity and perishability. Both the second-order factors are modeled, each respectively, with the two first-order factors in formative manner. Using PLS, empirical validation is executed to analyze each value creating factor’s contribution impact on the relative advantage, as well as the mediating effect of basic value creation factor on resolving service process limitations. On the basis of the insights revealed from this paper, further theory building research could be elaborated in the area of IT convergence applications for service industry.
