The recent development of mobile devices, including smartphones has maximized the user’þs convenience. This phenomenon has triggered the specification and activation of mobile cloud service and transformed the user’ÿs information usage and communication means. Despite such development of new technology, there is little understanding of mobile cloud. Therefor, in order to help the understanding of the usage of mobile cloud computing technology, this study developed the research model based on the UTAUT (the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology) model. The proposed research model included five external determinants, such as Interoperability, Information Organization, Adequacy, Information Security and Context Awareness, along with the moderating effects of Job Relevance, and empirically proved their influence on the user's job performance. This study proved the research model by analyzing the data collected from 287 copies of survey with the structural equation modeling approach. The result showed that all determinants, except Information Security have positive impact on the usage of mobile cloud computing technology. Thus, this study can compliment the limitations of previous research, suggest a new direction to analyze the user's perspective in the related research on mobile cloud and build a theoretical foundation for the further development of mobile cloud.

Trust prediction between users in social network based on the trust propagation assumes properties of transitivity and composability of trust propagation. But it has been hard to find studies which test on how those properties have been operated in real social network. This study aims to validate if the longer the distance of trust paths and the less the numbers of trust paths, the higher prediction error occurs uSing two real social network data set. As a resul t, the longer the distance of trust paths, we can find higher prediction error when predicting level of trust between source and target users. But we can not find decreasing trend of prediction error though the possible number of trust paths between source and target users increases.

This study attempts to examine the factors affecting the introduction of e-Business systems and also, to assess the effects of various e-Business systems on firm performance. Empirical analysis is carried out with firm data of 2009. which is c이 lected from Firm Activity Survey of Statistics Korea. Firm performance is measured by four indexes; operating income per employee, value added per employee, return on assets, and return on sales. Empirical results indicate that a firm is more likely to introduce any e-Business system as its size and its assets per employee are larger and as its ratio of labor compensations to operating costs is lower. Additionally, a firm with higher skill levels and more fruitful management experiences is more likely to have any e-Business system. In general, it appears that the presence of e-Business, especially enterprise resources planning, has positive effects on the firm performance.

By uSing GOSST theory, this paper models SSCFLP taking FLP, capacity of the facilities, single source capacitated limitation level and service enhancement issues into consideration. GOSST theory is strongly suggested as the solution procedure for these issues. We have used clustering of Center of Gravity method uSing the case study of the company S and then, took a heuristic GOSST measure in the alternative selection process. As a resul t, the research finds an alternative solution that both meets the satisfactory level of service and achieves consistent distribution capacity. When uSing this modeling, especially, to select the location of the logistics distribution center, the efficiency of current facilities is maximized while offering the minimum geometric distance for the alternative. Also, we can expect that the illustrated model and alternative solution can be applied to architecture of distribution system, to selection of telecommunication system locations for wireless network and to relocation of related facilities due to their sensitivities to location and weight.

In developing information systems, conceptual modeling is among the most fundamental means. The importance attributed to conceptual modeling has not only given rise to a lot of modeling methods, but also to the “yet another modeling approach (YAMA)" syndrome and the “not another modeling approach (NAMA)" hysteria. Criticism of conceptual modeling methods usually targets their lacking of theoretical foundations. In response to such criticism, various approaches towards theoretical foundations of conceptual modeling have been proposed so far. One of the recent responses to the Quest for theoretical foundations of conceptual modeling is the reference to the philosophical ontology. The currently most prominent of diverse approaches towards ontological foundations of conceptual mOdeling appears to be the BungeWand-Weber (BWW) ont이 ogy. Recent approaches attempt to regard BWW ontology as another conceptual data model as well as a criterion for evaluating various conceptual models. However, unfortunatelY, relatively few researches have been made on interoperability between the Entity-Relationship (ER) model , which is the most dominant conceptual data model, and ontology based model. In this paper, we investigate the interoperability between ontology and the ER model. In detail we (i) reclassify components of ER model with respect to ontology concepts, (ii) identify some components that cannot be directly represented in ontology notation, and (iii) present alternative representations to the components to aCQuire ontologically clear ER diagrams. Additionally, we (iv) present a set of mapping rules for converting the ontologically clear ER diagram into the corresponding ontology. In a case study, we show the process of converting an ER diagram for a concise Project Management System (PMS) into the ont이 ogically clear ER diagram and the corresponding ontology. We also describe an experiment that we undertook to test whether users understand the Ontologically-Clear ER diagram better.

When an organization adopts new technology, performance through the technology is expected to be decided depending on attitudes of the members, in that technology produces performance only if the members zealously use it. Therefore, the members need to devote themselves to acquire and use the new technology. This attitude of members is called “IT acceptance will" (Ranarajan et al., 2005), and this research is to examine the 'effect of an individual ’s “IT acceptance will" on performance. Thus, this research analyzes what increases IT acceptance will and what effect IT acceptance will has on stress due to uncertainty of an organization-job complexity and role conflict- through new IT adoption. This research conducted a survey from JulY to September in 2009, targeting employees of government offices and public institutions in Kyunggi and Kyungnam provinces. Then, a total of 370 was collected and the final 344 was selected for our research analysis. As a resul t, this research found out that personal innovation and client orientation improved an individual's IT acceptance will, which improved performance through new IT adoption. However, the new IT adoption also increased job complexity and role conflict, but negative effects of stress on performance was not found as IT adoption will diminished the stress. Based on this resul t, this research discussed practical and academic implications and the limitations.

A Comparative Study on National Culture of SNS User : Comparison of Korea, China, and U.S.

Our work empirically investigates the cultural differences of Social Networking Service (SNS) users in China, Korea and U.S. We construct a survey questionnaire from existing literature and test it for reliability, validity, and model fi t. Then we collect data and validate the cultural differences of SNS users in three nations. Our results show different rankings from existing literature in cultural dimensions about three nations. In terms of masculinity, we find China > U.S. > Korea, similar to Hofstede. In individualism, we find U.S. > Korea > China, di 什erent from Hofstede (U.S. > China > “orea). In power distance, it is shown that Korea > China > U.S., different from Hofstede (China > “orea > U.S.). Uncertainty avoidance is found that U.S > Korea > China , lowered ranking of Korea from the top among three nations in Hofstede. We find that these outcomes would be useful in updating national culture of the three nations and for future research about cultural impacts on SNS adoption.

The current study initiated from an action-plan level perspective of revitalizing Green IT (Information Technology) in Korea by building a standardized national Green IT brand. In order to setting up a national level brand, there should be a big quantitative survey for identifying Green IT brand concepts. For this, the current study provides exploratory research results based on preliminary interviews and literature survey before the quantitative survey. The present article suggests a research framework and describes important factors for setting up a national level Green IT brand. In-depth interviews with panels were executed and existing Green IT brands in other countries are summarized and asked for evaluation to a small number of panels. The research results show that (1) National level Green IT brand should include wider concepts of IT, (2) Green IT brand will be more appealed by the public when it is simple, straightforward, and intuitive, (3) Earth, Tree, and/or Water show higher correlation with Green IT concepts. Green IT brand will offer marketing promotion effects to companies who adopt national level Green IT brand as well as increase public use of Green IT in daily life. For this reason, Green IT brand will be a win-win strategy and this should be cared and executed by the related government agencies with long term perspective.

Innovation Resistance In a Smart Phone Environment : A Technology Acceptance Model Approach

The study developed the ideas of innovation resistance attitude in view of innovation delay, rejection, and objection. Authors developed the idea of innovation resistance attitudes of customers in view of innovation diffusion process. The study categorized the idea of resistance such as delay, rejection, and objection. The study hired the structural equation modeling to evaluate the relationships among the consumers’ subjective variables such as incongruence, uncertainty, perceived performance, peer usage, and tradition orientation those were factored out by the survey test. These measured variables were analyzed into the innovation resistance related latent variables. The study provides the basic treatment to introduce new technologies and products to the superficially resisting customers. Those resisting customers might be future late adopters. The research results provide the basic arguments for prerequisite treatment to introduce smart phone in the global market place.

Since smart phones are changing the media for communication and its related mobile market, it is imperative to attract more application developers for success in application store business in ordr to attract more app users. By uSing aspects of the commitment marketing theory and the relationship marketing theory, this research study identified factors that influence on the relational commitment of application developers to the market. Survey of application developers from Korean mobile application developers’ community was conducted to test the hypothesized model. The empirical results showed from an economic behavioral perspective market demand for applications and perceived usefulness of development to이 led to relational commitment of developers mediated by perceived satisfaction while attractiveness of alternatives had no significant effect. In addition, fairness of review process and interactivity, based on the relationship marketing theory perspective, showed significant effect on the relational commitment of developers mediated by trust for application market.
