Recently, mobile and smart devices are rapidly spreading. As a result, financial settlement services, which were formerly face-to-face and PC-based, have now been replaced by mobile environments. One of the business areas that utilize FinTech is focused on the easy payment services. The main purpose of this study is to analyze empirically the factors affecting the acceptance of the easy payment services. To achieve this purpose, we surveyed the individuals who have some understanding about the easy payment services. The collected 206 data were used for statistical analysis. The results of the hypotheses test using structural equation model are summarized as follows. First, performance expectancy, social influence, and security perceived by users of the easy payment services have positive influence on positive attitude, but effort expectancy does not. Second, facilitating conditions and positive attitude of easy payment services have positive effects on service adoption. Based on the results of the analysis, it provided meaningful implications for practitioners and researchers in related fields.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of each of the two technology acceptance factors(employees’ attitude toward smart factory technology, and ease of smart factory technology use) on the introduction level of each of the three smart factory technologies (manufacturing big data technology, automation technology, and supply chain integration technology), and in turn, the effect of each of the three smart factory technologies on manufacturing performance. This study employed PLS statistics software package to empirically validate a structural equation model with survey data from 100 domestic small-and medium-sized manufacturing firms (SMMFs). The analysis results revealed the followings. First, it is founded that employees’ attitude toward smart factory technology influenced all of the three smart factory technology introduction levels in a positive manner. In particular, SMMFs of which employees had more favorable attitude toward smart factory technology tended to increase introduction levels of both automation technology and supply chain integration technology more than in the case of manufacturing big data technology. Second, ease of smart factory technology use also had a positive impact on each of the three smart factory technology introduction levels, respectively. A noteworthy finding is this : SMMFs which perceived smart factory technology as easier to use would like to elevate the introduction level of manufacturing big data technology more than in the cases of either automation technology or supply chain integration technology. Third, smart factory technologies such as automation technology and supply chain integration technology had affirmative impacts on manufacturing performance of SMMFs. These results shed some valuable insights on the introduction of smart factory technology : The success of smart factory heavily depends on organization-and people-related factors such as employees’ attitude toward smart factory technology and employees’ perceived ease of smart factory technology use.

As reliance on information and communication becomes widespread, a variety of information dysfunctions such as hacking, viruses, and the infringement of personal information are also occurring. Korean adolescents are especially exposed to an environment in which they are experiencing information dysfunction. In addition, youth cybercrimes are steadily occurring. To prevent cybercrime and the damage caused by information dysfunction, information security practices are essential. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to discuss the factors affecting the information security practices of Korean youths, considering information security education, perceived severity, and perceived vulnerability as leading factors of the theory of planned behavior. A questionnaire survey was administered to 118 middle and high school students. Results of the hypothesis test show that information security education affects perceived behavior control, and perceived severity affects attitude. Subjective norms, information security attitudes, and perceived behavioral control were found to influence adolescents' practices of information security. However, perceived vulnerabilities did not affect youths' information security attitudes. This study confirms that information security education can help youths to practice information security. In other words, information security education is important, and it is a necessary element in the information curriculum of contemporary youth. However, perceived vulnerability to youth information security threats did not affect information security attitudes. Consequently, we suggest that it is necessary to strengthen the contents of the information security education for Korean youths.

O2O(Online-to-Offline) commerce, a kind of multi-channel, is used in various industries such as accommodation, food and beverage, transportation, and real estate. The O2O commerce, a channel of integrating online and offline, overcomes the limitations of traditional online commerce, where a customer made a purchase decision without direct experience. Despite this advantage of O2O, if the online-offline channel is not effectively linked, customer’s complaints would occur due to service failure. This study, with regard to O2O service failure circumstances, intends to investigate the effect of customer’s perceived justice on their emotional response, recovery satisfaction, followed by intention to repurchase. Perceived justice in this study is composed of distributive justice, interactional justice, and procedural justice. Furthermore, this study explores the moderation effect of O2O industry types in the relationship between perceived justice and emotion. An O2O industry type is classified into accommodation, food and beverage, and transportation. A hypothesized research model was empirically tested using a structural equation model. The current study collected 433 questionnaires and the target respondents are customers who have experienced service failure in O2O commerce. The empirical results showed that O2O commerce more effectively conducts service recovery strategy and causes positive customer response by integrating online and offline channel. One of the ultimate purposes of O2O service providers is to reduce the likelihood of service failures and to recover more quickly and efficiently by linking two channels rather than using a single channel. This study suggested that the O2O channel is effective in influencing customer satisfaction and loyalty by inducing customer's positive emotions in recovering service failure.

In 2019, 5G mobile communication technology will be commercialized. From the viewpoint of technological innovation, 5G service can be applied to other industries or developed further. Therefore, it is important to measure the demand of the Internet of things (IoT) because it is predicted to be commercialized widely in the 5G era and its demand hugely effects on the economic value of 5G industry. In this paper, we applied Bayesian method on regression model to find out the demand of 5G IoT service, wearable service in particular. As a result, we confirmed that the Bayesian regression model is closer to the actual value than the existing regression model. These findings can be utilized for predicting future demand of new industries.

Currently, the nation's medical industry is changing due to the rapid development of technology. In addition, medical accidents occurring in the medical industry are gradually increasing amid the drastic changes. Therefore, a possible solution to medical accidents in the changing health care industry is needed. Accordingly, this study uses network-centrality analysis to examine the business ecosystem of smart surgical medical systems to find ways to increase the efficiency of surgery as well as the resolution of medical accident problems, and to suggest the direction of development of the medical system in the future from a systematic business ecosystem perspective.

Information technology is an effective means for raising firm competitiveness. In fact, what to purchase or how to purchase it must fall under a highly complex decision-making in which many different stakeholders are involved. These stakeholders are often known to take a defensive behavior. That is, instead of working toward a common goal of organizational performance, each individual of these stakeholders tends to act defensively to avoid risks he/she faces or minimize subsequent changes. Despite a frequent occurrence of defensive behavior in the process of IT purchasing, there has been no research about defensiveness in IT purchasing. Our study aims to elicit different types of defensive behavior in IT purchasing situations and to identify causes of these defensive behaviors. To this end, we surveyed IT professionals having much experience in IT purchasing and took a qualitative analysis on their opinions. We found out that there exist 9 different types of defensive behavior in IT purchasing and identified a set of factors causing the defensiveness and a set of their consequences.

An Activity-Centric Quality Model of Software

In this paper, software activity, software activity instance, and the quality of the activity instance are defined as the ‘activity which is performed on the software product by a person or a group of persons,’ the ‘distinctive and individual performance of software activity,’ and the ‘performer’s evaluation on how good or bad his/her own activity instance is,’ respectively. The representative values of the instance quality population associated with a product and its sub-population are defined as the (software) activity quality and activity quality characteristic of the product, respectively. The activity quality model in this paper classifies activity quality characteristics according to the classification hierarchy of software activity by the goal. In the model, a quality characteristic can have two types of sub-characteristics : Special subcharacteristic and component sub-characteristic, where the former is its super-characteristic too simultaneously and the latter is not its super-characteristic but a part of its super-characteristic. The activity quality model is parsimonious, coherent, and easy to understand and use. The activity quality model can serve as a corner stone on which a software quality body of knowledge, which constituted with a set of models parsimonious, coherent, and easy to understand and use and the theories explaining the cause-andrelationships among the models, can be built. The body of knowledge can be called the (grand) activitycentric quality model of software.
