Negotiation is a process of reaching an agreement on the terms of a transaction, such as price, quantity, for two or more parties. Negotiation tries to maximize the benefits for all parties concerned. Instead of using human-based negotiation, the e-commerce environment provides such an environment as adopting automated negotiation. Thus, choosing agent technology is appropriate for an automatic electronic negotiation platform, since autonomous software agents strive for the best deal on behalf of the human participants. Negotiation agents need a clear-cut definition of negotiation models or strategies. In reality, most bargaining systems embody nearly one negotiation model. In this article, we present a mobile agent negotiation system with reusable negotiation strategies that allows agents to dynamically embody a user’s favorite negotiation strategy which can be preinstalled as a component in the system. We develop a prototype system, which is fully implemented in compliance with FIPA specifications, and then, describe the benefits of using the system.

As the World Wide Web (WWW) has become a major channel for information delivery, the data accumulated in the Internet increases at an incredible speed, and it derives the advances of information search technologies. It is the search engine that solves the problem of information overloading and helps people to identify relevant information. However, as search engines become a powerful tool for finding information, the opportunities of plagiarizing have increased significantly in e-Learning. In this paper, we developed an online plagiarism detection system for detecting plagiarized documents that incorporates the functions of search engines and acts in exactly the same way of plagiarizing. The plagiarism detection system uses morpheme analysis to improve the performance and sentence-based comparison to investigate document comes from multiple sources. As a result of applying this system in e-Learning, the performance of plagiarism detection was improved.
Analysis of User Satisfaction with Collegiate E-Learning and its Determinants

The benefits of an e-learning system will not be maximized unless learners use the system. This study proposed and tested models that seek to explain students’ satisfaction withe-learning systems. A survey was performed at a women’s college in Korea, where students experimentally could choose to register one same course either through e-learning or class-room learning. The questionnaire was filled up by students who took e-learning option. Independent variables include expected benefits, familiarity with technology, social influence, and accessibility. Dependent variables include the level of satisfaction, academic achievement, and the amount of the use of systems.

This paper develops an integrative model for IT continuance in the internet shopping environments by integrating the expectation-confirmation and the switching cost factors. Using this model, in addition, this study investigates their differential effects on the mediating variables, such as user satisfaction, commitment, and trust which have been identified as antecedents of users" IT continuance intention. Results show that the product and service-related expectation confirmation factors and the relational switching cost factor can have greater impacts on users continuance intention than the web site design factors, and the financial and procedural switching cost factors. In particular, it is interesting to note that relational switching cost can lead users to more commitment, which is revealed as the strongest antecedent of their continuance intention to use a certain shopping site.

The balanced scorecard has drawn attention from many researchers in various fields since its appearance in 1992. It became a norm for performance evaluation framework in many areas, such as marketing, information system evaluation, strategic planning, etc. Centered in the large companies in Korea, the balanced scorecard has been popularly used as a performance evaluation tool for human resource management. Now we question its applicability to performance evaluation tool even in small business. This study tried to apply the balanced scorecard in developing an information system for performance evaluation in a small business. The study showed that the balanced scorecard can be nicely used in small business as a performance evaluation tool. The process of developing an information system is described in detail. The practitioners are to obtain a lot of insights in designing their human resource management systems from the study results.

Collaborative filtering(CF) has been a very successful approach for building recommender system, but its widespread use has exposed to some well-known problems including sparsity and scalability problems. In order to mitigate these problems, we propose two novel models for improving the typical CF algorithm, whose names are ISCF(Item-Selected CF) and USCF(User-Selected CF). The modified models of the conventional CF method that condense the original dataset by reducing a dimension of items or users in the user-item matrix may improve the prediction accuracy as well as the efficiency of the conventional CF algorithm. As a tool to optimize the reduction of a user-item matrix, our study proposes genetic algorithms. We believe that our approach may relieve the sparsity and scalability problems. To validate the applicability of ISCF and USCF, we applied them to the MovieLens dataset. Experimental results showed that both the efficiency and the accuracy were enhanced in our proposed models.

As one of core technologies in ubiquitous era, interest and application of RFID is increasing. Although its" applications has been developed in various areas, actual application rate is still underestimated. Previous studies show that most of researches are focused on RFID implementation strategies, emphasizing technical advantages and benefits of RFID. To increase RFID adoption rate, however, end user’s attitude about information technology has to be considered. The empirical study has been conducted to analyze user"s influential factors which affect the RFID adoption. The results show that some of user’s attitude about IT are valid and provide useful guide lines about RFID adoption.
Knowledge Management and E-learning for Organizational Culture

Knowledge management becomes the key point for organizations to survive and maintain competitive advantages in the knowledge economy era. E-learning plays a vital role for the organizational learning. How to share the experience of knowledge and the success of the knowledge management has great connection with the organizational culture. This study focuses on the factors of effective E-learning as well as its relation to the organizational culture. A successful e-learning system should not only aim at different statistical variables but emphasize on:course contents, variety of teaching methods and establishes a stable network environment. A stable E-learning platform and speedy bandwidth is a must to achieve the non-barrier communication and built an interactive learning environment. To achieve success in E-learning, it is not necessary to divide the organizational culture to strengthen the course content multiplication and plans the E-learning supervisory work by the sole responsibility unit. It should establish an ample teaching frequency width and platform and also must establish the appropriate study network frequency width and hardware equipment to achieve the best E-learning effect. The interaction in different organizational culture in adapting E-learning, those Ad-hoc and Marketing Culture, are mostly influence by the external environment and have more interactive content. Those in Clan and Hierarchy Culture are affected by traditional conception and lack of interaction. Meanwhile, under the cost consideration, Clan and Ad-hoc Culture on the dynamic side prefer to spend more cost on E-Learning while the stable side, Hierarchy and Marketing culture are willing to pay more expenses on E-Learning.
모바일 웹 브라우징 서비스의 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 자기효능감과 사회적 영향

This paper aims to empirically examine how personal characteristics and social influence affect user acceptance of mobile web browsing service. To examine the intention to use mobile web browsing service, we applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which has been widely used to explain and predict the IT acceptance to this study. This research also includes personal characteristics such as computer self-efficacy, mobile self-efficacy, and personal innovativeness in IT and social influences such as subjective norms, image, and visibility as the external variables of the TAM. The results indicate that computer self-efficacy do not directly influence ease of use, but indirectly through mobile self-efficacy. And the results indicate that mobile self-efficacy and personal innovativeness in IT have direct effects on ease of use. Empirical results also show that subjective norms and image affect usefulness. Additional theoretical and practical implications of these findings are also discussed in the paper.
Major Criteria for Channel Selection in Banking Transaction

The purpose of this research, based on the Media Selection Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model, and the Social Influence Theory, is to investigate the influential factors that affect media selection in banking transactions. Analyses showed that for location sensitive bank windows and ATMs (automatic teller machines), defined as offline-based transaction channels, convenience was the variable affecting media selection. However, in the case of online media not related to location, (phone banking, internet banking, and mobile banking) reliability was the significant variable influencing use. The findings show that banking organizations may benefit from identifying traits of media affecting use, and should differentiate customer services for competitive advantage.
