Sustainable Anti-Consumption of Household Products : A Nepalese Context

Sustainable consumption is the consumer’s preference for the products that are environmentally friendly however, non-consumption also plays a major role in sustainability. A counter movement of anti-consumption runs from the beginning of mass-consumption of societies. Consumers can choose not to consume products/ brands that can cause a harm to the environment or are incompatible with their ideology on conservation. The underlying notion of these non-consumption practices or anti-consumption is that the consumer is concerned about the effects that a purchasing choice has, not only on themselves but also on the external world. Anti-consumption is a resistance to, distaste of or even resentment of consumption. There is low adaptation rate of green consumption in terms of household products which shows that the non-green consumers reflect the mainstream population and indicates that consumers following anti-consumption is a niche segment reflecting the need of research in this area. So it is consequential to explore the available literatures regarding the subject matter and conduct a quantitative study. Following the notion this paper aims analyzing the factors influencing the anti-consumption behavior of household products in Nepalese context.

Reclamation of Desert with Regular Application of Waste Water

Deserts around the world mostly do not have plants and are ever- expanding their area each year. There is shortage of food and prevalent hunger around the world mostly in the African countries that have desert. The waste water is not properly managed in those places and it causes disease outbreaks. So, the problems of desertification, waste water management and hunger have to be addressed by the world community. This thesis work tries to explore a possibility of reclamation of deserts with regular application of waste water. The results obtained from a four months long test are very encouraging and it can be easily concluded that the deserts can be reclaimed by application of waste water and it will relieve the desert community from the burden of costly treatment of waste water as well. In turn, they will, to some extent, get rid of water borne diseases and the reclaimed land could be used in future to produce more food to feed the hungry community- positively impacting directly to food security of the focused community.

In this study, we conducted a comparative study of Korea, China, and India on the influencing factors of internet shopping repurchase intention through SEM-ANN two-stage analysis, and analyzed changes in predictive performance and variable importance. As a result, through SEM analysis, it was confirmed that the factors influencing repurchase intention in internet shopping are different between Korea, China, and India. It has been proven that the R² of SEM is improved through ANN. And It has been proven that statistical-conclusion-validity was improved through which the size of the path coefficient in SEM remained similar to that of ANN's variable importance analysis.

A manned and unmanned complex combat system refers to a combat system that performs various missions by operating manned and unmanned aircraft together. The combat system is rapidly becoming more advanced due to recent remarkable developments in information and communication technologies(ICT), including AI and 5G, and major countries are actively using it in actual battlefields. Furthermore, the importance of this combat system is increasing and it is emerging as the core of future warfare. Accordingly, this study analyzed the concept of the manned and unmanned complex combat system and the current status of its integration with ICT, presented an operational concept utilizing it, and then analyzed the actual current status of related combat systems at home and abroad. Lastly, five suggestions were presented for the development of domestic manned and unmanned complex combat systems.

This study analyzes Korean and Chinese consumer perceptions of Hanbang (traditional Korean herbal) cosmetics, specifically focusing on Sulwhasoo’s Jaum two-piece set. Using topic modeling, 7,000 consumer reviews from Naver (Korea) and Baidu (China) were examined to uncover the key themes that influence consumer satisfaction and dissatisfaction. The results reveal significant similarities and differences between the two markets. In both countries, the product is frequently purchased as a gift, and price sensitivity is a major concern. However, Korean consumers prioritize delivery experiences and product functionality, while Chinese consumers focus more on product quality and effectiveness. These findings highlight the need for targeted strategies in each market. For success in Korea, competitive pricing and improved logistics are crucial, whereas in China, maintaining high product quality and capitalizing on the gifting culture are essential. Additionally, global expansion requires educating consumers on the benefits of Hanbang cosmetics, ensuring product consistency, and adapting to regional preferences. This research provides valuable insights for cosmetic companies aiming to enhance their market presence both locally and internationally.

ICT산업 성장의 투입ㆍ산출 구조분해분석

This paper conducts the input-output structural decomposition analysis on the growth of ICT industry during year 2000~2019. The novel feature of this study is to dissect the economy-wide collective growth contributions into industry by industry contributions. The main results are as follows. First, the growth of ICT manufacturing industry has excessively depended on its own export and import-substitution of intermediate goods, while the growth of ICT service industry has heavily depended on its own domestic final goods demand. Second, for the growth of ICT manufacturing industry, its own contribution is about 79%, and the contributions of non-ICT service and manufacturing industries respectively are 11% and 9%, but the contribution of ICT service industry is only about 1%. For the growth of ICT service industry, its own contribution is about 61%, and the contributions of non-ICT service and non-manufacturing industries respectively are about 33% and 5%, but, surprisingly, the contribution of ICT manufacturing industry is less than 1%. Third, the contributions of non-ICT manufacturing and service industries to the growth of both ICT industries have been done mainly through increase in export and domestic final goods demand together with change in the structure of input technology.

Focusing on the rapid progress of image generation AI, this study examines the changes in talent required according to changes in the production process of the content industry, and proposes an educational management plan for the subject and comparative department of the university’s animation major. First, through environmental analysis, the trend of the animation content industry is analyzed in three stages, and the necessity of producing AI-adapted content talent is derived by re-establishing the talent image of the university’s animation major and introducing it into rapid education. Next, we present a case designed by applying teaching methods to improve technology convergence capabilities and project-oriented capabilities by presenting subject and non-curricular cases operated in the animation department of the researcher’s university. Through this, we propose the necessity of education to cultivate animation content talent who can play technical and administrative roles by utilizing various AI systems in the future. The goal of this study is to establish a cornerstone study by presenting application cases and having the status of a university as a talent supplier that can lead the content industry beyond the era of AI content production that breaks the boundaries of genres between contents. In conclusion, it is intended to propose the application of education to create value through technology convergence capabilities and project-oriented capabilities to cultivate AI-adapted content talents.

Analyzing the Effects of Anthropomorphism in NPCs Applied by GPT on User Satisfaction and Loyalty

This research studies NPCs applied by Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) Technology. This study set three independent variables as characteristics of the NPCs applied GPT. User immersion is set as a mediator variable, while user game satisfaction and loyalty are chosen as dependent variables. The Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory is employed to study user attitude changes, and immersion is examined through the Flow Theory. The study found that interactions between NPCs and users directly and indirectly influence user satisfaction and loyalty. This suggests that NPCs capable of providing users with desired information, rather than merely following predetermined protocols, can enhance the user’s affinity for the game. Furthermore, the intelligence and human-likeness of NPCs were found to indirectly influence satisfaction and loyalty through immersion. These findings underscore the importance of GPT-applied NPCs in the gaming industry, with potential implications for the future development and enhancement of such NPCs within games.

This study takes a comprehensive look at how technological advances have changed the way 2D animation is created. Humans are constantly looking for new ways and technologies to express movement, which has led to many changes in the way 2D animation is produced. In this study, we will examine the impact of these changes on 2D animation production and explore the possibilities for future developments. In the early days of 2D animation, the production method was repeatedly changed by the invention of technologies such as celluloid sheets, rotoscopes, and multiplane cameras, while the advent of digital technology has led to revolutionary changes such as the development of CAPS(computer animation production systems), various digital tools, and the combination of 2D and 3D. In addition, the recent introduction of generative AI is rapidly changing the way 2D animation is produced by automatically handling various tasks. These advances have not only streamlined the production of animation, but have also reduced costs by shortening the production period, and greatly improved the quality of animation by making it easier to implement complex and sophisticated visual effects. The introduction of generative AI has pushed the boundaries of what can be represented in 2D animation. On the other hand, the introduction of digital technology has its drawbacks, as the mechanical and uniform style produced by digital tools can reduce originality and individuality, but advances in technology will open up the possibilities for 2D animation to be produced in a variety of ways, as it fosters the creation of new expressions and creative content.

This paper explored the characters in spin-off works that are becoming a hot topic not only in Korea but also in the world. I would like to find out whether there are changes in the character in the original and the character's character and behavior in the spin-off work, and if there are changes, for what reason the changes occur. The subjects of the study were “Puss in Boots” and “Minions,” which released a number of spin-off works based on the original. As analysis tools, we used the five-step theory of need by Abraham H. Maslow and the behavioral model of Greimas. As a result, in the spin-off work, Minions and Puss have shifted away from the role of facilitator in the original and become subjective characters. According to Maslow's theory of needs, the analysis also confirmed that this appears as an action to satisfy the needs of belonging, love, respect, and self-realization beyond basic physiological and safety needs. This change allowed him to develop a more independent and proactive personality and behavior, and be at the center of the story. This is the result of reflecting the production team's intention and audience expectations to provide audiences with deeper characters and richer stories. is analyzed.

The development of industry since the Industrial Revolution has caused environmental destruction and is threatening to destroy the order of the Earth’s ecosystem. Due to the severity of environmental problems, companies are facing a crisis where they may lose competitiveness if their management strategies do not prioritize environmental issues. This study studied the impact of a company’s environmental orientation on employee satisfaction, organizational commitment, and loyalty. This study studied the impact of a company’s environmental orientation on employee satisfaction, organizational commitment, and loyalty. As a result of the study, the internal and external environmental orientation of the company on satisfaction had a significant positive influence and were all adopted, while the internal and external environmental orientation on organizational commitment were all rejected as they had no significant impact.Satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment and a significant positive (+) effect on loyalty, so both were adopted. Organizational commitment was adopted because it had a significant positive effect on loyalty, and internal and external environmental orientation had no significant effect on loyalty, so it was all rejected. A company’s green environmental orientation plays an important role in a company’s sustainable growth and can be formed based on the company’s will. Therefore, this study shows that a company’s environmental orientation improves the company’s environmentally friendly image and provides positive value to organizational members, leading to improved corporate performance.
