Software architecture is the blueprint for a software system and should provide consistent guidelines for design, implementation, and maintenance throughout the entire lifecycle of the system. Components, interactions between the components, well-formed structure, reasons, and various perspectives reflecting various stakeholders’ concerns changing through the phases of software lifecycle are the key elements of software architecture. The architect identifies and engages the stakeholders, understands and captures stakeholder’s concerns including those regarding life cycle, and lets the concerns reflected in the architecture. To do so, architect should take into consideration various contextual elements regarding the system too. We make an extended list of the elements, especially those of business application software architecture, that the architect should take into consideration and construct a model of the relationships between the elements.

The objective of this research is to identify a web portal’s specific functions and layouts that are aligned with personality trait of an individual internet user. This first stage of the overall research project intends to check whether the research instrument, namely the NEO Five Factors Inventory (NEO-FFI), is applicable to assess the personality traits of Thai internet users. Based on these personality traits, text-based description of functions/ layouts of a web portal was developed and given to professional designers to mock up example web portal pages. These web portal pages were in alignment with individual personality traits. Rating data on the functions/layouts corresponding to individual personality traits were collected from an online survey of 207 Thai internet users. Results showed that respondents gave more consistent rating to the functions/layouts close to their individual personality traits identified in the text-based descriptions than in the mocked-up web portal pages.

In order to realize the benefits of ITSM, it is necessary to institutionalize ITSM into the organizational culture. Currently, efforts to routinize ITSM lack in practice, and research in this area is also lacking. This study identifies the factors affecting the routinization of ITSM through literature review and interviews with experts, selects a company that has successfully routinized ITSM, and analyses the activities, methods, and procedures employed by the company on the factors in detail. The specific factors analyzed in the study include fulfillment of the customer requirements, top management support, communication, change management, training and education, quality of the ITSM system, and capability of the personnel. Important points verified in this study is that in order to realize organizational performance from ITSM, just the adoption of ITSM is not enough, but the routinization of ITSM through continuous and systematic management and improvement with the support of top management are required. Since this study is a descriptive case study, results of the study cannot be generalized. However, the study will provide practical information that can be referenced by the organizations attempting to routinize ITSM. In addition, results of the study will provide a basis of future research in ITSM.

This study was initiated to inquire as to why Wal-Mart failed in the Korean market. For multi- national corporations, environmental differences such as cultural and social differences among countries require business strategies to vary country by country. In Korea, Confucian Ethics are penetrated in every aspect of people’s lives. An important aspect of Confucian Ethics is the role and responsibility of women in society. Considering this, businesses need to understand Korean women’s preferences as consumers and develop business strategies accordingly. This study emphasizes that IS strategy is one component of the business strategy and, as such, must be rooted in business issues. Understanding that IS strategy should fit to national contexts, this study investigates the underlying process in which IT-based strategic capability is developed according to national context to gain competitive advantages.

Word-of-mouths (WOMs) are now an important information source for purchase decision. Due to the advance in internet technology, people now can share online their consumption experience, both positive and negative, to others. The WOMs may diffuse to not only their friends but also enormous online users. When consumers dissatisfy the product or service, they may share the dissatisfactory experience to others as WOM, which may bring out discussions for the product or service. The discussions on the negative WOM may help to communicate the negative information to enormous others, which may damage the sale of the product or service. The diffusion and life cycle of negative WOM is an important issue for managers. However, few studies focus on it. Thus, the current study focuses on the discussion pattern and life cycle of negative WOMs by observing the 782 discussion articles in a large online community.

A 3D CAD is one of latest innovations in apparel industry. Despite a rapid progress of related technologies and an emergence of several commercial products in markets, an adoption of 3D CAD tools in apparel industry is much slower than originally expected. In an effort to diffuse such a technological advance in apparel industry, more behavioral studies of why and how apparel designers adopt and use a 3D CAD are needed. Toward that goal, this study aims to identify more about whether such an adoption decision would be more associated with organizations or individuals. Using TAM and TOE framework, the study findings show that the intention to adopt 3D garment CAD is more explained by individual attitudes rather than organizational characteristics.

When the formative construct is placed in the endogenous position, there are clear theoretical, mathematical, and empirical issues in model estimation. Nonetheless, scholars who have adopted structural equation modeling for empirical research and those who are engaged in debates on the viability of formative modeling fail to recognize the fundamental problems of employing formative measurement in the endogenous position. This manuscript is intended to set a corrective path by discussing three reasons why this frequented practice may be avoided in both theoretical and empirical research.

The main propose of this research is to examine the performances in ERP introduced enterprises by utilizing BSC model proposed by Kaplan and Norton [1992], to realize this goals, a theoretical review on ERP, BSC, and other related issues is performed in advance, accordingly, research model was generated. In conceptual model analysis, we focused on casual relationships among four performance measurement indicators after introduction of ERP proposed by Kaplan and Norton [2000]. To test the model, structural equation modeling is employed to analyze data collected from 164 enterprises which have introduced ERP for more than 1 year. Survey respondents were confined within the representatives of each enterprise’s ERP. Hypotheses proposed in our research are tested by covariance structure model, results are listed as follow : First, learning and growth performance is significant factors for improving both internal process performance and customer performance; second, process performance has a positive impact on customer performance third, despite that customer performance is positively related to financial performance, no direct relationship is found between internal process performance and financial performance, an indirect relationship is built through intermediate medium of customer performance. Based upon these results, we discuss implications at the latter part of paper. Meanwhile, we also provide research limitations, and future research in the final section.

This paper analyzes the effect of network neutrality regulation on social welfare using the two-sided market under the network congestion. This paper deals with zero price rule regulation which means the price regulation on the side of content. The results are as follows : First, under the monopoly platform, internet use price, contents price, and the number of internet user and content provider are all decreasing as the network congestion increases. Second, under the monopoly platform internet use price, contents price, and the number of internet user and content provider are all increasing as the network capacity increases. Third, the price of internet use and contents internet use which maximize social welfare are increasing and the number of internet user and content provider are decreasing as the network congestion increases. Fourth, optimal network capacity for monopoly platform provider is less than socially optimal network capacity. Fifth, if network neutrality regulation is enforced, the price of internet use is higher than monopoly platform provider and the price of contents is lower than monopoly platform provider. Also, the number of internet user is less than monopoly platform provider and the number of content provider is more than that. By the way, when network congestion increases, internet use price, the number of internet user, and the number of content provider are decreasing. Sixth, network neutrality regulation is more effective for internet user side than contents provider when network congestion is considered. This means that network neutrality regulation is not effective for contents market side when network congestion is seriously large.

Real time accessiblity and agility in Ubiquitous-commerce is required under ubiquitous computing environment. The Research has been actively processed in e-commerce so as to improve the accuracy of recommendation. Existing Collaborative filtering (CF) can not reflect contents of the items and has the problem of the process of selection in the neighborhood user group and the problems of sparsity and scalability as well. Although a system has been practically used to improve these defects, it still does not reflect attributes of the item. In this paper, to solve this problem, We can use a implicit method which is used by customer’s data and purchase history data. We propose a new clustering method of weighted preference for customer using k-means clustering and Bayesian network in order to improve the accuracy of recommendation. To verify improved performance of the proposed system, we make experiments with dataset collected in a cosmetic internet shopping mall.

The recent rise in the unstructured data generated by social media has resulted in an increasing need to collect, store, search, analyze, and visualize it. These data cannot be managed effectively by using traditional data analysis methodologies because of their vast volume and unstructured nature. Therefore, many attempts are being made to analyze these unstructured data (e.g., text files and log files) by using commercial and noncommercial analytical tools. Especially, the attempt to discover meaningful knowledge by using text mining is being made in business and other areas such as politics, economics, and cultural studies. For instance, several studies have examined pending national issues by analyzing large volumes of texts on various social issues. However, it is difficult to create satisfactory information services that can identify R&D documents on specific national issues from among the various R&D resources. In other words, although users specify some words related to pending national issues as search keywords, they usually fail to retrieve the R&D information they are looking for. This is usually because of the discrepancy between the terms defining pending national issues and the corresponding terms used in R&D documents. We need a mediating logic to overcome this discrep‘ancy so that we can identify and package appropriate R&D information on specific pending national issues. In this paper, we use association analysis and social network analysis to devise a mediator for bridging the gap between the keywords defining pending national issues and those used in R&D documents. Further, we propose a methodology for packaging R&D information services for pending national issues by using the devised mediator. Finally, in order to evaluate the practical applicability of the proposed methodology, we apply it to the NTIS(National Science & Technology Information Service) system, and summarize the results in the case study section.

At the center of the repeating evolution of IT industry, there is mobile computing in the ubiquitous environment, and the increasing usage of smart phones contribute more to its growth. P corporation co-developed with Google and implemented smart work system called SWP for the purpose of ‘communication and collaboration with co-workers' beyond the general goal of increasing productivity and comfort of employees. The primary objective of this study is to objectively analyze the influence of the effect factor from end user's perspective and user satisfaction on SWP usage, intention for continuous usage and individual performance. To accomplish this research purpose, this study established research models and hypothesis by collective review about information system success models, and tested the research hypotheses using the structural equation modeling technique by data collected from 320 SWP system users of P corporation. Variations for system satisfaction evaluation standard are 1)SW system usage 2) intention for continuous usage 3) individual performance, effect variations are 1) social factors 2) technical factors 3) combination of social and technical factors. Therefore, this study is about influence factors on success of SWP system and how the factors impact the outcome. The test results of this research model is summarized as follows. Firstly, system user's satisfaction had positive impact on all three; SWP system usage, intention for continuous usage and individual performance. Secondly, social factor ‘SWP control system' and technical factor ‘information quality' and ‘system quality' had positive impact on SWP system user satisfaction, while social factor ‘shared value' and technical factor ‘service quality' did not have significant effect on user satisfaction. Shared value however, had interactive effect with ‘information quality' and ‘service quality'. This study is expected to contribute to spread of academic research on smart work system by suggesting a model that can show important factors for corporation while explaining the successful implementation of SWP and its continuous usage.

In general, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners consider innovation by producers as a primary mode in a market economy. However, the recent research has shown that some of the most important, novel products and processes have been developed by users-both user firms and individual end-users. According to von Hippel [1988], he found that they were the developers who made about 80 percent of the most important scientific instrument innovations as well as the major innovations in semiconductor processing. In this research, we conducted grounded research on user-led innovation at the corporate-level. Also, we analyzed the train development project (SR000) of Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (SMRT). We focused on identifying the success factors of user-led innovation, and development process.

These days a great mix of traditional and digital contents such as movie, broadcasting, advertisement, e-books, music, game, animation, cartoon, character, knowledge information, and art performance are widely available. Many more are yet to come, with improved quality and added features. It is expected that all these contents will be evolved into a new breed of convergence content through the process of consolidation, expansion, integration, and recreation. Across the digital ecosystem, a new formula is being added to the industrial structure : ‘Information/Content-Platform/Device-Goods/Service.’ In the near future, as a result of technological innovation and convergence, the business sector will lose its boundaries as well, as businesses will be forced to look beyond the product itself and focus more on multi-functionality. Especially, in the era of creative economy, more policies need to be crafted in order to procure a new growth engine for the future with the agenda for convergence between humanities and technology. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the concept, factors, elements, types, and cases of convergence, which are the essence of content convergence. This analysis, with its focus on the convergence process, will help identify the effects and limits of content convergence as well as the prospects for convergence contents in the smart ecosystem under the creative economic system.

As the business has been highly informatized, many companies has bought the software for their works. There are two types of software license. One is a site license and the other is a user license. This paper is focused on the user license. User license has the number of the right to use software. So, software managers always need to know the number of licenses in use and should limit the number of software license in use. If someone in the company use a software without license, he will be treated as a piracy. In that case, the company should pay for the settlement cost for the exceeding license use. In this paper, we suggest the model how we can limit the installation of the software within the number of licenses by license management system.
