The complex geopolitical landscape between the United States and China has profoundly affected global businesses, necessitating the prioritization of crisis preparation and risk management. This paper introduces the Jupsang Leadership Orientation (JSLO) model for handling crises. Surveying 890 Chinese managers in Hong Kong, the study employs Partial Least Squares (PLS) for structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze relationships between JSLO’s five orientations and Trust, Commitment, and performance variables. Altogether, nine hypotheses were supported and three were rejected out of twelve hypotheses. The results reveal significant correlations, except for three non-causal relationships, emphasizing the JSLO model’s effectiveness in crisis management, and it has a direct effect on Trust, Commitment, and Performance.

This study analyzes the relationship between the levels of successor’s digital absorptive capability, willingness to succeed, and the preparation for succession. The level of digital absorptive capability was found to significantly affect the levels of digital leadership capability and willingness. Furthermore, succession willingness affected the level of succession preparation. The level of digital knowledge of exiting leader moderates the effect between successors’ digital leadership capability and their willingness to succeed. Some additional roles of digital leadership capability and the willingness to succeed were also found. The implications of this study is as follows. The successor’s self-perceived technological capability during the succession process exert an influence on succession outcomes. This can be regarded as the identification of a novel variable for deepening the study of succession processes. Furthermore, the findings of this research suggest that incumbent CEOs and successors of family firms who aspire to take over the business should undergo preparatory stages—such as digital transformation and the adoption of new technologies—in order to be adequately prepared for succession.

This study analyzed the interactions and volatility spillover mechanisms between Bitcoin prices and major economic indicators, including the Dow Jones Index, S&P 500 Index, and gold prices, using a VAR model, Granger causality tests, and Impulse Response Functions (IRFs). The results reveal that the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices significantly influence Bitcoin prices, with the Dow Jones positively impacting Bitcoin in the short term, while the S&P 500 exerts a negative influence. In contrast, gold prices exhibit a relatively weak interaction with Bitcoin, suggesting limited direct volatility spillover between these two assets. Academically, this research contributes by providing empirical evidence of Bitcoin’s dynamic relationships with traditional financial markets, moving beyond its characterization as an independent digital asset. The use of IRFs to differentiate short- and long-term interactions enhances the understanding of volatility spillover mechanisms in financial markets. Additionally, the findings highlight Bitcoin’s growing integration with traditional markets while maintaining independence, particularly in its distinct divergence from gold as an asset class. Practically, the study identifies the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices as key predictors of Bitcoin price volatility, offering investors actionable insights for portfolio diversification and trading strategies. Furthermore, the weak relationship between Bitcoin and gold suggests that Bitcoin can serve as an independent alternative investment, providing opportunities for risk management and market diversification. These insights emphasize Bitcoin’s evolving role in the global financial ecosystem and its growing relevance as a strategic asset.

This study takes the technology acceptance model (TAM) as the theoretical basis, combines the unique technical attributes of generative AI, and constructs an extended model of AI technical and user characteristics, perceived usefulness and ease of use, and continuous use intention. Hypothesis testing confirmed that the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) applies to generative AI, with Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) being the strongest factors determining continued usage intention. PEOU was positively predicted by user traits (AI literacy, experience) and two technical features (interactivity, creativity), while all four features (personalization, interactivity, creativity, contextual awareness) boosted PU. Importantly, information credibility enhanced both perceptions, lowering acceptance barriers. The study highlighted that while creativity was the strongest driver of PU, the influence of personalization and contextual awareness on PEOU was limited because these features operate implicitly in the system’s background. Interactivity was the most influential factor for ease of use, while personalization and contextual features need clearer interface visibility to be more effective. Lastly, the findings suggest that technological accordance and user readiness jointly influence behavioral intention through the mediating effects of perceived usefulness and ease of use.

This paper examines the ontological crisis facing stunt performance due to the rise of artificial intelligence. Historically, the reality of stunt work has been rooted in the physical, embodied risk undertaken by performers. This concept has been theoretically defined through Walter Benjamin’s aura, which is the unique presence of the performance in time and space, and Vivian Sobchack’s embodied vision, which is the phenomenological connection between the on-screen action and the spectator’s sensory experience. This paper argues that AI technologies are not merely replacing this reality but are reconstructing it. The locus of authenticity is shifting from the singular, high-risk physical event to a legally negotiated, technologically reproducible digital asset. This argument is explored through four key analyses. First, an examination of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA contract reveals how legal frameworks for Digital Replicas and Synthetic Performers institutionalize the dissolution of aura. Second, it analyzes how this legal framework transforms professional risk from the physical to the digital realm. Third, a case study of the film The Fall Guy (2024) illustrates the emergence of a hybrid reality, where authentic, practical stunts serve as a raw core for extensive digital reconstruction. Fourth, the establishment of a new Academy Award for Stunt Design is interpreted as an institutional canonization, an attempt to preserve the cultural value of the craft at the moment its material basis is threatened. The paper concludes that the reality of stunt performance is being redefined from a physical event into a contractual asset, altering the aesthetic, economic, and phenomenological foundations of this cinematic art form.
