The distinguished prosperity of information technologies from great progress of e-business during the last decade has unavoidably made software development for active data mining to discovery hidden predictive information regarding business trends and behavior from vary large databases. Therefore this paper develops an active mining object(ADMO) component, which provides real-time predictive information from web databases. The ADMO component is to extended ADO(ActiveX Data Object) component to active data mining component based on COM(Component Object Model) for application program interface(API). ADMO component development made use of window script component(WSC) based on XML(eXtensible Markup Language). For the purpose of investigating the application environments and the practical schemes of the ADMO component, experiments for diverse practical applications were performed in this paper. As a result, ADMO component confirmed that it could effectively extract the analytic information of classification and aggregation from vary large databases for Web services.

We conducted an explorative study about the types of APEC government’s policies for SME(Small and Medium Enterprise) informatization. Informatization means the process whereby information and communication technologies shape cultural and civic discourse. By using qualitative study methods such as interviews and case studies, we identified the influential factors for the effectiveness of government policies on SME’s informatization. Based on the implementation levels of these factors, we also developed the typology of government policies for SME informatization. Our conclusion ends up with the suggestion of a contingency approach for SME informatization of underdeveloped and developing countries.

The purpose of this study is to find student factors associated with the students" evaluation of university teaching, and to provide a meaningful reference to policy-making of teaching evaluation. Based on the surveyed questionnaires from 232 students who participated in e-learning course, in combination with applying descriptive statistics, this study analyzes (1) the influences of students" pre-motivation level of student based-on ARCS theory on class satisfaction, (2) the influences of students" grade, attendance, and class involvement on class satisfaction, and (3) the influences of e-learning experience on students" pre-motivation level and class satisfaction. Result of this study shows that:(1) students" pre-motivation level including Attention(A), Relevance(R), Confidence(C), and Satisfaction(S) is positively correlated to students" evaluation for teaching, (2) students" grade, attendance, and class involvement are positively correlated to students" evaluation for teaching, and (3) students" e-learning experience is not related with students" pre-motivation level, whereas it is related with class satisfaction.

The purpose of this paper is introducing WiFi based EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) method for indoor positioning. The advantages of our EKF method include:1) Any special equipment dedicated for positioning is not required. 2) Implementation of EKF does not require off-line phase of fingerprinting methods. 3) The EKF effectively minimizes squared deviation of the trilateration method. In order to experimentally prove the advantages of our method, we implemented indoor positioning systems making use of the K-NN(K Nearest Neighbors), Bayesian, decision tree, trilateration, and our EKF methods. Our experimental results show that the average-errors of K-NN, Bayesian and decision tree methods are all close to 2.4 meters whereas the average errors of trilateration and EKF are 4.07 meters and 3.528 meters, respectively. That is, the accuracy of our EKF is a bit inferior to those of fingerprinting methods. Even so, our EKF is accurate enough to be used for practical indoor LBS systems. Moreover, our EKF is easier to implement than fingerprinting methods because it does not require off-line phase.

In these circumstance, to keep operational continuity of organization, area, society, risk management action that establish systematic counter measure estimating and analyze occurrence possibility and expectation damage of risk is essential indispensable issue and the best countermeasure. Risk management action does by main purpose establish optimum disaster reduction countermeasure. To deduce various countermeasure, process that estimate and analyze occurrence possibility and expectation damage of risk is essential indispensable issue. Therefore, this paper studies process design that can presume risk occurrence frequency and damage scale through distribution of probability.
