Big data has become a worldwide topic. Despite this, big data accurately understand and acquire the business to take advantage of companies that were only very few. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that effect Korean firm's adopting big data system. Empirical test was conducted to verify hypotheses using extended technology acceptance model and we analyzed factors which affect the behavioral intention of big data System. Based upon previous researches, we have selected organization innovation, organization slank, organization information system infra maturity, perceived benefits of big data system, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, behavioral intention as variables and proposed a research model based on survey questionnaires. From those, we drew that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use influenced the behavioral intention. The results of this study will increase the users' awareness on big data system and contribute to develop a way to enable the introduction of new technologies.

There is tremendous increasing demand on spectrum resource which is boosted by spread of cloud computing and M2M telecommunication as well as smart phone and tablet PC. Recently, spectrum sharing technology has drawn attention to the spectrum policy makers as a promising way to overcome limitation of scarce spectrum resource. To succeed in commercialization of spectrum sharing technology, it is necessary to prospect the future business ecosystem of spectrum sharing and develop appropriate policies and laws at the same time along with the advance of spectrum sharing technology. The purpose of this paper is to prospect future spectrum sharing ecosystem and analyze business ecosystem of spectrum sharing with casual loop map. With the causal map and system dynamics method, it is possible to analyze feedback loops which is not limited to linear thinking and build policies which optimize positive dynamics in business ecosystem of spectrum sharing.

The trend toward ubiquitous computing does not represent simply a change in the way people access and use information. In the end it will have a profound effect on the way people work with each other. In this paper, we have defined functionalities of an information system that helps operate a kind of smart office environment, and implemented the system using RFID technology. The system provides three major functions–time and attendance management, personalized message notification, and flexible seat allocation for a smart working center. We have also suggested the key performance indicators and performed a KPI analysis to measure an efficiency of implemented system.

Recently, with the diffusion of a new paradigm named as the creative economy, the government's interests and efforts regarding support of SMEs' R&D have been concentrated. In particular, due to the dominant perception that the fundamental science and original technology from government-funded research institutes can further enhance the capabilities of SMEs' R&D, the importance of performance's diffusion on national R&D is further emphasized. In fact, the domestic SMEs don’t have enough budget and workforce, so that all of self-contained technologies, product's competitiveness as well as the R&D capabilities, are very vulnerable, and thereby SMEs' commercialization is very likely to fail. For this end, SMEs need to adopt the concept of open innovation as the use of external R&D resources by licensing. In this study, we conducted a survey on a total of 286 domestic IT SMEs, and analyzed empirically to compare the degree of their acceptance on technological innovation between two groups divided by open/not-open innovation. As a result, we drew some of the key factors influencing the acceptance of the SMEs' open technological innovation, and found a variety of implications through them.

Domestic telecommunication companies have increased in marketing expenditures and capital investments in their plants and equipments. Their expectation for their investment sometimes results in the shrinking of their ARPUs(average revenues per user) as well as decreasing of net profits. Those financial efforts have not always been positive relation with their ARPUs. Since western and european telecommunication industryrecently have similar situation with our market where their mobile and network users have been saturated so that no more increased users are estimated. Therefore, this paper aims for first to explore methods maximizing the investments efficiency for the telecommunication company so that we choose bechmarked telecommmunication companies to explore their investment managing situation with resepct to their marketing and capital expenditure. Secondly this paper tried to suggest several public policy guidelines for domestic telecommunication industry. Total seventeen foreign telecommunication companies were selected and data set through official IR as well as AR were chosen. Curvilinear logarithmic regression analysis were tested to obtain elasticities as well as marginal effects. As a result, overspending on the marketing investment showed more negative indicators to their revenues, on the other hand, more investment in the Capex such as network infrastructures and other service facilities were more likely related to positive revenues.

This study aims to analyze factors that affect satisfaction of students in employment-contract information technology master programs, and suggest policy implications to improve management of employment-contract master programs. A survey of students supported by Software master program of National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and Knowledge Information Security master program of Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) indicates that department administration, department vision, scholarship, adviser, and lecturer affect satisfaction of students in employment-contract master programs in listed order.

In this paper, we propose policy implications for Korean SMEs to enhance informatization level, which thereby leads to better competitiveness. Our approach begins with organizing the firm's informatization attributes from SME perspective. Next, we adopted AHP method to quantify the relative importance of each informatization attributes. Then, we assess the criticalness of each informatization attributes with reference to the empirical statistics for the current status of informatization level of Korean SMEs. The analysis distinguishes manufacturing versus service industries, and informatization attributes importance versus as-is informatization level, each respectively. Based on empirical analysis, policy implications are proposed for more effective government SME informatization support policy.

This study investigates how enjoyment (or playfulness) affects user acceptance of hedonic-oriented (or pleasure) information technology based on the technology acceptance model (TAM). A research model was made to examine the effect of enjoyment on the user acceptance of hedonic information technology. 186 responses were collected from university students who had experiences on Daum's Digital View which is a well-known example of digital signage technology. The result of the statistical analysis reveals that enjoyment also had a strong effect on the acceptance of hedonic information technology, in addition to perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. However, perceived usefulness is reported to most strongly influence the adoption of Digital View. The effect of enjoyment on intention to use was also significant, but enjoyment shows a much low degree of influence than perceived usefulness on intention to use.

Competitiveness of service industry in Korea is relatively lower than OECD countries’. Korean government, therefore, has been trying to improve the competitiveness of service industry by accelerating information technology (IT) adoption. Even though most of factors of IT can be contributed to improve the financial performance, it may be affected differently among various industry types and life cycles of companies. Therefore, it is one of very important research issues to analyze the influential effect of IT considering industry types and organizational life cycles in service industries. The purpose of this study is to find out critical success factors of IT which influence financial performance considering different types and life cycles of service industries. We developed the model and identified key success factors of IT adoption as IT system quality, Information quality, IT maintenance, CEO support, IT education of organization, and IT competence of user. Additional analysis of moderating effect by organizational life-cycle and types of service industry are conducted. For data sampling 856 companies are participated and total 2,000 questionnaires are collected. Structural equation modeling method is conducted for statistical analysis. The results show that the model is valid and most of success factors of it are very useful for improving financial performance of service industries except organizational IT education. Moderating effect of industry types and organizational life cycles is valid but partially accepted. The results might be able to provide useful directions and guide lines of IT acceleration in service industries.

According to the development of smart technologies such as smart phones, tablet PC, and SNS communication, the necessity of smart work that can change the working environments in organizations has been emphasized. However, while there are many organizations that wish to adopt smart technologies, there are those that have been skeptical until now about its potential success. Leaders may especially have different viewpoints concerning the efficacy and effectiveness of smart work depending on the industries, characteristics of the work, etc. Therefore, this research looks to investigate whether there may be differences between leaders (manager, project manager, supervisor, etc.) and non- leaders (team member, staff, etc.) group in accepting smart working through empirical and exploratory approaches.

The advance of the smart working environment came the expectation that it would innovate and revolutionize the way people work, particularly in a society where smart work is readily available for creating a collaborative and ‘connected’ business. One of the core infrastructure elements for making smart work a viable option is the smart work center, the promotion of which requires a new form of 'smart work center business model' that can satisfy the purposes of both public services and private businesses. This calls for collaboration between the public and private sectors. Recently a number of businesses have been making significant headway in the creation of a new environment for business support and collaboration by adopting a sharing economy business model in their offices. The so-called 'Coworking Space' is an advanced form of business environment in the emerging 'smart work' era, and comes with the benefits of reduced costs as a result of sharing office space and knowledge sharing through the use of human networks. This paper describes the framework of a ‘smart work center business model based on the sharing economy’ using a BMC (Business Model Canvas), with an understanding of the characteristics inherent to the smart work center and the sharing economy. It was on the basis of this framework that a smart work center model for business incubation and startup, a private smart work center model for childcare services, and a community marketplace model with a global network were developed.
Is Trust Transitive and Composable in Social Networks?

Recently, the topic of predicting interpersonal trust in online social networks is receiving considerable attention, because trust plays a critical role in controlling the spread of distorted information and vicious rumors, as well as reducing uncertainties and risk from unreliable users in social networks. Several trust prediction models have been developed on the basis of transitivity and composability properties of trust; however, it is hard to find empirical studies on whether and how transitivity and composability properties of trust are operated in real online social networks. This study aims to predict interpersonal trust between two unknown users in social networks and verify the proposition on whether and how transitivity and composability of trust are operated in social networks. For this purpose, we chose three social network sites called FilmTrust, Advogato, and Epinion, which contain explicit trust information by their users, and we empirically investigated the proposition. Experimental results showed that trust can be propagated farther and farther along the trust link; however, when path distance becomes distant, the accuracy of trust prediction lowers because noise is activated in the process of trust propagation. Also, the composability property of trust is operated as we expected in real social networks. However, contrary to our expectations, when the path is synthesized more during the trust prediction, the reliability of predicted trust did not tend to increase gradually.

The study examined relational marketing in terms of transaction specific satisfaction and cumulative satisfaction in the professional sport industry. The study evaluated the motivation of spectators visiting professional baseball games in 2012 and the satisfaction factors of relationship marketing. In this study, the satisfactions were considered in terms of single satisfaction associated with transaction and gradual satisfaction associated with customer loyalty. The relationship marketing was established considering each factor of marketing strategies, facility, game performance and entertainment. The study categorized the factors for customers to visit games as facility, game performance and entertainment with marketing strategies. The study found out that the customer satisfaction was related with both transaction specific satisfaction and cumulative satisfaction where cumulative one is longer term related. Moreover, cumulative satisfaction will be more related with the long term team financial performance.

In this paper, we report bankruptcy risk level forecasting result for automobile parts manufacturing industry. With the premise that upstream supply risk and downstream demand risk could impact on automobile parts industry bankruptcy level in advance, we draw upon industry input-output table to use the economic indicators which could reflect the extent of supply and demand risk of the automobile parts industry. To verify the validity of each economic indicator, we applied simple linear regression for each indicators by varying the time lag from one month (t-1) to 12 months (t-12). Finally, with the valid indicators obtained through the simple regressions, the composition of valid economic indicators are derived using stepwise linear regression. Using the monthly automobile parts industry bankruptcy frequency data accumulated during the 5 years, R-square values of the stepwise linear regression results are 68.7%, 91.5%, 85.3% for the 3, 6, 9 months time lag cases each respectively. The computational testing results verifies the effectiveness of our approach in forecasting bankruptcy risk forecasting of the automobile parts industry.

The evolution of information technology and proliferation of hospital management and managerial applications of computing has led to change in the characteristics, uses and evaluations of software for the hospital management. With the growing proliferation of microcomputer use and the value-added for management strategies, more and more software has been massively developed, produced and distributed for the hospital industry. The user is faced with an increasingly difficult choice in the evaluation and selection of software. For many reasons, users frequently must rely on expert evaluations of the technical functions and quality of software. The objectives of this study are to provide selection criteria for an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and to develop an evaluation framework for the Hospital Information Systems. The major findings of our study are as follows (1) the identification of EMR evaluation characteristics (2) the design and development of EMR selection model and (3) the evaluation of the importance for EMR characteristics using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). We identify 6 characteristics and 22 sub-characteristics of the EMR, calculate their weights, and decide the best configuration. Especially, the AHP methodology can be applied to gather knowledge from multiple experts. Because AHP can 1) facilitate the participation of multiple experts 2) increase group productivity and therefore result in both quantitatively and qualitatively superior outcomes than that of a single individual's work 3) provide a mechanism for reconciling conflict from multiple expert 4) validate the acquired knowledge, providing consistency of facts, and 5) enhance the accuracy reliability of the acquired knowledge increase through of the reliability provided by consensus across multiple experts. Although some further research is required, the proposed model can be regarded as a basis for the selection of EMR

Through smart work using by smart technologies, many organizations wish to change traditional working styles. Lots of organizations, however, wish to do work with smartness through adoption of smart work technologies, those are not sure whether smart work will be successful or not till now. Viewpoints of members concerning efficiency and effectiveness from smart work who operate the organizations may be different. Therefore, hopefully, this research tried to investigate whether differences among members of organizations by empirical and exploratory approach. Totally, 118 questionnaires had been collected and performed test of mean difference between groups. As a result, some items such as working place, working methods, flexible time and tension of smartwork showed significant differences among groups and non-leader and leader groups. And, furthermore, from this research I believe that we can have a few insights for successful smart working environment in organizations. For successful smart work, organizations have to try to overcome or minimize differences among members of organization.

SNS users have increased at rapid rate. Many firms are expected to use SNS, especially in marketing area. This study describes a SNS-based new products promotion case study. We aim to identify how differently SNS users respond to different types of SNS media or SNS contents. In this analysis marketing effects are measured in a number of website hits. The study result shows how the number of user’s hits differs upon a combination of SNS media and SNS contents.

Companies need to secure strong methods of new product development in a rapidly changing competitive environment. They overly focusing on the perception of consumers can not lead radical changes. They need to generate sufficient creative ideas in the early stages of new product development to make radical change. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of a creative method on the generation of creative ideas. An enhanced creativity method was designed considering existing methodology and cognitive elements. This study specifically focused on team rather than individual level creativity. This arrangement reflects the fact that companies in practice rely on team unit in NPD process. The contribution of the study is two fold : enhancing existing methodology, and testing the effect of conceptual distance on making of creative ideas. The experimental results showed that appropriate conceptual distance help to make best creative output and that ABIS attribute is proved to be more effective than traditional association.

Preproject phase is an important but often ignored research area in information systems field although it has an undeniable importance for successful project. The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting project performance in preproject phase and to find empirically critical factors among them. After deriving 9 factors through literature review including clear project definition, project leader position, staffing efforts, preproject team expertise, preproject knowledge scope, preproject partnering, top-management support, resource sufficiency, and project climate, the study investigate the influence of those factors on project performance. The study results reveal that clear project definition, project climate, resource sufficiency, pre-project knowledge scope, project leader position have significant impact on project process satisfaction, a measure of project performance, but the other factors do not. Based on the empirical results, the study discuss academic and practical implications.

As a result of New media that affects the marketing system, it is appeared a new marketing system called Market Platform in terms of market governance of trading. Market Platform is a new marketing system for ideal market system through the community structure from a hierarchy structure. It is determined that Market Platform as the role of adjustment of each side of market, buyer and seller, developed an existing marketing system. In this study, to target the Market Platform has recently emerged as the center of the market management in the new media environment. This study investigates what characteristics and impact of infrastructure of Market Platform will affect the cognitive impact on both buyers and sellers to clarify the impact on the self efficacy of the shopping process. Through this investigation, modeling for the impact that new media environment will attract Market Platform will be developed from the investigation of attractiveness of mobile market platform environment. Changes in the technical media environment gave the characteristics of the customer in the market platform, so consumers could involve not only consumed, but also manufactured. Thus, it is possible to increase the attractiveness if market must be able to not only for the convenience of shopping, but also make people to enjoy the experience of value co-creation. In other words, the new media, as a result of affecting the marketing system, mobile market platform is organized around the market of communication base. Network centrality, visible openness, ubiquitous multiplexity, 3 properties of new media increase the market self-efficacy of their customers. Therefore, the structure of market platform that enhance self-efficacy has higher attractiveness.
