This paper is an investigation of the success/failure factor structure in the development of new high-tech products. Findings of this research are: Firstly, the R&D management and support system for the new product development made a significant contribution to the success of new products, especially in the development of high-tech products. Secondly, it is important to keep the balance of management between technological factors and marketable factors to accelerate new product development. High-tech oriented new products were more affected by the technology factors, but high-touch oriented products were more affected by the marketable factors. The results of this study will be useful in managing the success of new product development.

Knowledge management in defense industry carries a very special importance because it requires the most up to date information, knowledge, and technology in order to maintain competitive power in the global economy and to keep superiority in the national defensive power. This paper reviews various performance evaluation models for KMS and provides a new compensation model for excellent KM activities. While there has been a lot of techniques introduced so far to measure the level of knowledge management activities and performances, few techniques are available yet for compensating the employees who have made good contributions to the knowledge management processes and activities of an organization. This paper provides a novel KM performance compensation system model based on the knowledge mileage classification system and weighted mileage evaluation model currently adopted and deployed by "S" corporation.

The purpose of this study is to identify the internal structure of researchers' conflicts and to examine the relationship with research vitality. According to literature survey and interview with researchers, we accomplished contents analysis for 24 conflict variables. In the basis of contents analysis, we identify the structure of conflicts. It is defined in this work that researchers' conflicts are consisted of a job-oriented conflict and a treatment-oriented conflict. Furthermore, we examined the relationship with research vitality. In details, we analysed levels of research vitality classified by some status and vitality levels classified by conflict level.

We analyzed how curriculum quality of semiconductor subjects in universities had an effect on field adaptation in korea defence industry in this study. And we used the quality factors of semiconductor subjects of university as faculty, students' attitude toward studies, curriculum, environment of subject education. The sample was 287 graduates, graduated Bachelor degree in semiconductor within 5 years recently. Analyzing the level of knowledge adequacy and a hypothesized structural equation model with the data collected, we could assure that the completion rate of major semiconductor subjects was about 40% and the rate of their knowledge adequacy was approximately 35%. And it was found that there existed positive relationship among knowledge adequacy, quality factors of semiconductor subjects except for subject education environment factors. We also confirmed that the factors of students' attitude toward studies were more effected to their knowledge adequacy.
