이 글은 대학생들의 ‘스포츠와 나’에 대한 이야기 분석과 해석을 통해 서 스포츠에서 참 나를 찾는 방법을 발견하는데 그 목적이 있다. 대학생 들에게 ‘스포츠와 나’에 대한 자기이야기를 적어보도록 함으로써 이들이 체험한 스포츠의 종류와 의미에 대하여 찾아보았다. 초등학교 때에는 남 학생의 경우 태권도를 많이 하고, 여학생의 경우는 발레를 많이 하였다. 그 외에도 단체줄넘기와 달리기를 많이 한 것으로 나타났다. 초등학생들 은 자발적이기 보다는 부모님의 권유로 타율적으로 태권도에 입문하였 다. 하지만 신체활동이 많고 스포츠에서 재미를 찾고 있었다. 중고등학 교 때에는 약간의 차이를 들어내는데 중학교 때는 스포츠 황금기라고 할 수 있을 정도로 활발하게 체육수업을 받았고 남자는 축구, 여자는 피 구를 가장 많이 하였다. 그러다가 고등학교 3학년이 되면 수학능력시험 준비로 인하여 체육수업은 유명무실화되고 자습시간으로 대치하여 스포 츠를 전혀 하지 않는 스포츠암흑기가 되고 만다. 대학생이 되면 스포츠 열정이 되살아나 하고 싶은 스포츠를 찾아서 하는 것으로 나타났다. 대 학생들이 스포츠에서 긍정적 이미지를 갖게 된 것은 운동의 기능향상을 통한 성취욕과 더불어 자신감에서 비롯됨을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 스포 츠에서 참 나를 찾는 방법으로 신심일여의 경지, 진선미의 추구 그리고 탁월성의 구현이라는 방법을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was seek to reality self in sport through interpretation of the relation between sport and me. In order to study this purpose, I was explored relation between sport and me. and suggest that the ways of seeking to reality self. The results were as follows. College students were write his story(biographical sports) for sport and me. and I looked to the meaning of what the sport experience is occupying applied. I were analyzed elementary school, secondary school, high school, university sports experience. Especially The relationship between sports and their cultural and physical education for students in contact with the university was able to reveal the meaning occupies a sport to them. I suggest that the ways of seeking to reality self was the combination of mental and physical indeed to find me in the sport, the pursuit of true, good, beautiful in sport and proposed methods of implementation of excellence.

본 연구는 명예퇴직을 곧 앞둔 중등 체육교사의 교직 생애를 통해 교직 입문전 체육교사가 되기까지의 과정, 교직 입문 이 후 교직관 형성에 미친 영향 요인과 교사전문성의 형성 과정, 연구참여자의 교직 생애가 주는 교육적 의미는 무엇인지 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 37년 동안 체육교사로서 현장에서 근무하고 있는 체육교 사 1명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 본 연구를 위해 질적 연구방법으로 서 ‘구술생애사’방법을 선택하였고, 구체적인 자료수집방법으로는 심층 면담, 참여관찰, 사진과 기사 등의 관련 자료를 수집하여 자료를 처리하 고 분석하였다. 이러한 연구절차를 통해 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 올바른 교직관 정립과 무언실천(無言實踐)이다. 연구참여 자는 긴 교직생활 동안 올바른 교직관을 정립하여 무언실천(無言實踐)하 였다. 둘째, 자강불식(自强不息)체육의 삶을 살았다. 한 가지 직업을 오래 하면 매너리즘에 빠지기 마련인데 체육교사로서의 전문성을 향상시키기 위해서 끊임없이 자신에게 채찍질을 하였다. 셋째, 변치 않는 학생사랑 이다. 연구참여자는 고경력 교사들은 대부분 기피하여 기간제 교사들에 게 떠넘긴다는 담임교사를 기피하지 않고 명예퇴직 4년 전까지 맡았고, 명예퇴직 했던 마지막 학교에서는 정구부 감독을 하며 학생들을 사랑으 로 지도하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 교직생애간 교사의 올바른 교직 관 정립과 전문성의 형성은 교직생애에 많은 영향을 끼친다는 것을 시사해 주고 있다.

The goal of this study is to explain the process of becoming physical education teachers prior to the entry to teaching profession, factors that influenced the view of teaching after entering the teaching profession, process of formation of teacher professionalism and the educational significance deriving from teaching profession through the teaching profession life of middle school physical education teachers that are facing voluntary resignation. To achieve the goal, 1 physical education teacher, who has been working for 37years, was selected as the study participant. As the qualitative research method for this study,‘oral life history’method was used, and the specific data collection included in-depth interview, participant observation, photos and articles. Results obtained through such processes are as follows. First is the establishment of correct view of teaching and silent practice. Participant has established a correct view of teaching and practiced it silently throughout the long teaching career. Despite the opportunity to choose money, fame and authority from a wealthy family, participant chose teaching profession. Second, he lived a life of ceaseless endeavors. Continuing one job for a long time would often lead to mannerism, but he continuously spurred him self to improve his expertise as a physical education teacher. Sports was the most fun to say that he was addicted to sports, and the participant felt very happy teaching sports to others. Third is the everlasting love for students. Participant served as the class home room teacher, which most highly experienced teachers avoid and shift the responsibility to short-term teachers, until 4 years prior to the resignation, and served as the manager of tennis team at the last school before resignation and taught students with love. Such results imply that the establishment of correct view of teaching and formation of professionalism through the teaching career have a great influence in the teaching career.

본 연구는 축구 선수나 지도자 생활을 했지만 드러나지 않는 개인의 역사를 조명하고, 이를 통해 우리나라 축구의 역사적 자료를 더욱더 풍 성하게 해야 한다는 필요성으로부터 시작한다. 이에 어린 시절부터 축구 를 시작하여 프로팀 선수생활을 거쳐 현재 축구 지도자를 하고 있는 김 왕주 축구감독을 연구 참여자로 선정, 축구 선수시절부터 현재까지를 구 술생애사 방법을 이용하여 참여자의 경험과 기억을 중심으로 들여다 본 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자는 선수시절 축구로 성장한 배경 을 가지고 있다. 부모님은 늘 바쁜 농사일 때문에 연구 참여자의 운동에 대해서는 신경을 쓰지 못했다. 그렇지만 참여자는 축구를 사랑했고, 그 로 인하여 축구 선수로 명문대를 거쳐 프로팀 선수까지 활약 할 수 있었 다. 둘째, 경수중학교를 시작으로 제천산업고등학교에서 제천제일고등학 교로, 그리고 지금의 서울문화예술대학까지 겪은 축구 지도자 경험은 연 구 참여자로 하여금 본인만의 축구 지도 스타일을 만들 수 있게 했고, 확고한 지도 철학의 근간을 이루게 했다. 셋째, 연구 참여자의 선수시절 부터 지도자까지 나타난 에피소드를 통해한 축구인의 삶에 이면을 들여 다 볼 수 있었다. 선수시절 청소년국가대표를 하게 되면서 역으로 받게 된 설움과 지도자의 지시를 불이행하여 받은 상처, 지도자로써 빚을 얻 으며 선수들을 위해서 헌신 했지만 다른 결과로 돌아왔던 부분이다. 이 는 한 개인이 겪은 경험이지만 다른 축구인의 삶과 연결되고, 공유할 수 있는 시사점을 제시한다고 생각한다.

This study starts with casting light upon individual history that does not reveal despite the life of athlete or leader, and with necessity of more plumping up historical data of soccer of our country through this. Thus, selecting soccer coach Kim Wang-joo as a study participant who is currently a soccer leader through his life as professional soccer player after beginning with soccer from child hood, the conclusion from centrally looking into experience and memory of the participant using a method of verbal life history from the time of soccer player up to present, as the following. First, study participant has a growth back ground out of soccer during time of soccer player. Parents could not been able to pay attention to the participant's physical exercises due to their busy agricultural work. But, the participant loved soccer and could be active as a professional soccer player through a prestigious university as a soccer player. This process includes effort of study participant be yond physical limitation of congenial rachischisis and flat feet. The physical limitation that the study participant is thought to have eventually become a power to grow up as a soccer player and also to be a base for leading a life as a leader at present. Second, his experiences as leader starting with Kyung-Soo Junior High School to Je-Cheon Industrial Senior High School and Je-Cheon Je-il Senior High School and to current Seoul Culture and Arts College has made the study participant form his own guiding style of soccer and made firm guiding philosophy form a base. This appears in the aspect of physically jumping up for supply and demand of players and supporting with no frustration on the problems of poor environment supply and demand of players that encounter while moving to several school sand at the aspect of players growing by obtaining good result despite the strong method of training. Third, life of a soccer man could be looked in through episodes appearing from time of player to leader of study participant. The episodes appearing oral description by study participant was sadness that he reversely experienced as member of youth national soccer team during the time of player, psychological wound that he got from failure to follow leader's instruction and the slander that returned to him despite his devotion to players though getting in debt. This may be an experience that an individual got, but it is thought to be connected with lives of other soccer members and suggest an implication that can be shared with them.
