The rising demand for 3D interior simulation faces challenges due to the high computational costs and limited editability of existing reconstruction methods. To address this, we propose IN3R (Interior New 3D Reconstruction), an accelerated framework that improves upon the PE3R model. IN3R integrates a YOLOE-based unified pipeline to streamline object detection and semantic embedding, significantly optimizing reconstruction speed. Additionally, by incorporating Generative LLMs, the framework enables interactive text-based editing of furniture layouts and atmospheres. Experimental results demonstrate that IN3R achieves a 3.65x speedup compared to the baseline without compromising quality. This efficient framework enhances the practicality of 3D reconstruction for real-time virtual interior design and e-commerce applications.

This study developed <BUNKERAT>, a dystopian survival game, and exploratorily evaluated its prosocial message effects on economic inequality through a pre–post user test. Grounded in procedural rhetoric, the game’s 30-day survival mission (played from the perspective of an underclass character) operationalizes disparities in resource access and constraints on social mobility as rule-, space-, and constraint-based experiences. Pre–post analyses showed significant increases across all measured outcomes. The findings suggest (1) gameplay-driven discovery of structural unfairness (procedural rhetoric), (2) a shift toward structural attributions for the causes of poverty, (3) an expansion of empathy toward a more embodied, felt understanding, and (4) the potential for system-critical reflection through recurring moral dilemmas. Overall, <BUNKERAT> proposes design principles for prosocial games as experiential media for communicating complex social issues.

Quest-providing NPCs offer players a series of tasks or missions within the game, intending to foster player growth and community formation. While various AI-based techniques have recently been employed for this purpose, they often focus on generating smooth dialogue or narrative flow rather than accurate information delivery. Accordingly, this study implemented the TAG (Table Augmented Generation) system for quest-providing NPCs to deliver precise quest information to players within the game in conversational format. We successfully wrote SQL queries that distinguish game quest types based on player input to retrieve information, demonstrating the system's capability to deliver game quest information and generate dialogue. Applying this can provide players with a more diverse experience.

This study examines the UX design of Donghwa Yeolpyeon, a digital storybook designed to support emotional co-experience between parents and children. While many digital contents for children with ADHD focus on individual performance and behavioral management, this study addresses the lack of parent–child shared experience as a UX design objective. Based on prior research, UX design principles centered on co-experience were derived and applied to the content. Using a design research approach, design validity was explored through expert review and qualitative feedback. The findings suggest that relationship-centered UX design can facilitate natural parent–child dialogue and reposition digital storybooks as experiential media rather than functional tools.

This study examines how XR–based Virtual Production technologies are differently received in live performance, arguing that their effects are shaped by cultural and genre-specific contexts rather than technical performance. Moving beyond XR research focused on immersion and presence, it analyzes how the status and role assigned to technology organize audience experience. Using an ideal-type qualitative typology, the study identifies three modes of XR/VP reception: spectacle-, message-, and narrative-oriented. Case analysis shows that experiential impact depends on how technology is culturally appropriated. By framing XR/VP as a cultural practice rather than a fixed technical tool, the study proposes an interpretive framework for evaluating technology in live performance.

This paper examines how cognition is constructed and experienced within contemporary technological environments through media art practice. Drawing on Katherine Hayles’s concept of the Cognisphere, it proposes Synthetic Cognisphere as a speculative cognitive field in which human, machinic, and nonhuman processes are entangled. Through an analysis of the media art installation <Synthetic Cognisphere> (2022), the study shows how cognition emerges not as conscious interpretation but as a nonconscious process shaped by autonomous algorithmic operations and environmental interaction. By approaching media art as a cognitive field rather than limiting it to an artistic presentation, this paper proposes an alternative framework in which media art functions as an experimental condition for cognition.

While interior design platforms are rapidly adopting AR and 3D rendering technologies, the lighting preview features in existing online simulators and AR services often fail to incorporate accurate optical effects, limiting users' ability to experience the actual atmosphere of a space. To bridge this realism gap, this paper proposes an AI-based 2D indoor relighting system. The proposed system performs luminaire-grounded relighting—applying the light source directly to the actual fixture location—and supports multi-color lighting changes to enhance the user experience. Built upon Latent-Intrinsics and diffusion models, we fine-tuned the U-Net cross-attention to specialize in lamp objects and employed a trained ControlNet and Color Adaptor for stable color injection. Experimental results demonstrate superior color reproduction compared to baseline models, with performance improvements of approximately 2.5× in RMSE and LPIPS, and 1.2× in SSIM. We anticipate that these findings will serve as a sophisticated lighting preview solution for future AR-based interior services.
