This article makes an empirical analysis on influence of R&D investment on corporate performance under different nature of controlling stake by applying multivariate regression analysis and ordinary least square and taking China A-share listed companies as samples. The study finds that for the whole sample enterprises and non-state-controlled enterprises, current and last R&D investment have significant positive influence on corporate performance; for state-controlled enterprises, current and last R&D investment have positive influence on corporate performance but not significant.

This paper is to address the changes of educational platform with the introduction of smart technology. In particular, it investigates the blending of social learning system into the traditional structured classroom. Schoolfy is used to transform the structured classroom for the blending. The effects were looked into for the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the single group pre/post test result comparison. The effects in all skills were big in effect size, but it demonstrates issues of teacher participation for the interaction. Educational platform is a second teacher who helps enhance the interaction between teacher and students by introducing rich resources and inviting students for a deep engagement of exploration. Educational platform provides the basis of experiencing 21st century skills.

Research on the Relationship between Electricity Demand and Economic Growth of North China Based on the Co-integration Theory

The research on the relationship between electricity and economy of North China can make a contribution to the development of electric power industry policy. Based on the history data of electricity demand and economic growth from 1986 to 2010 in North China, the grey-relational theory is applied to determine the keyfactors influencing electricity demand. On this basis, the co-integration model and error correction model are employed to establish the relationship model between electricity demand and economic growth of North China. From the perspective of long-term equilibrium, when GDP increases 1%, total electricity consumption increases 0.8270%; when industrial added value of a share of GDP increases1%, total electricity consumption increases1.3011%; when electric power efficiency increases 1%, total electricity consumption increases by 4.5965%; when urbanization rate increases 1%, total electricity consumption increases3.0079%. Therefore, theelectric power efficiency is the main factor to promote the increase of electricity demand.

A Research on the Comprehensive System of Performance Evaluation of Rural Microfinance

At present the microfinance is still in a growing stage in China and the performance evaluation of microfinance is still in blank. According to the principals of Balanced Scorecard, this study designed the comprehensive evaluation system from four dimensions, which were finance dimension, customer dimension, internal process dimension, learning and growth dimension, and evaluated the performance of rural microfinance of 6 branches of HARBIN BANK. The effectiveness and practicability of the evaluation method were verified by the empirical results and suggestions were used to improve the performance of rural microfinance. This study make an innovation in the practical application of banking industry’s rural microfinance performance evaluation in China.

The goal of this study is to ascertain the most important factors in effectively using smart classrooms. The Korean government has announced that it intends to build at least one smart classroom in every school by 2015. The Ministry of Education in Korea had built at least one English smart classroom already. Therefore, all the schools have smart English classrooms (technology based IT classroom). This study can also apply to the general design of smart classrooms for other subjects as well. To investigate this, we conducted a survey of 41 secondary school teachers and 144 high school students. Those students used the smart-classroom for English at least 2 in a week. These students used the classroom for learning communication skills primarily. The questionnaire consisted of fifteen questions covering such topics as: strong and weak points of the smart classroom, and the ways that can make teachers and students teach and learn English more effectively in a smart classroom. The data, which was measured with cross-tabs, the T-test and ANOVA, and frequency analysis using the statistical software, SPSS 12.0, showed that teachers and students are in agreement about the necessity of the smart classroom and agree on the need for more diverse teaching methods in the classroom. Teachers especially wanted more variation in smart classroom construction methods. As such, we conclude it is better to make 2 or 3 on low-budget smart classrooms with different designs if the school has over 24 classes. Based on the data analysis, more research should be followed about the possible designs for smart classrooms.

Competition and Coordination for the Dual-channel Supply Chain with Channel Preference

Aiming at the dual-channel supply chain system with the manufacturer owned direct channel and retail channel simultaneously, the consumers are divided into retail channel loyalty and brand loyalty two parts, under the condition of market demand are depend on the consumers’ channel preference, we studied to the pricing game and coordination between the manufacturer and retailer. The research result showed that the Nash equilibrium of price exists in centralized and decentralized supply chain system, the channel preference degree of consumers, the number of brand loyalty consumers are all have certain influence on supply chain’s optimal pricing strategy, and the price markup contract can realize the coordination of supply chain. The numerical experiment has showed the effectiveness of the conclusions.

Platform business models as AppStore, SNS (social network service) and online marketplace are creating new markets and providing opportunities to dominate. And they are considered as a blueprint for future business. Trying to create or enter a new business area, the more interested companies and consumers can be induced to minimize the risk. Platform could maximize the profitability of private companies, as well as provide various improved citizen services with minimum cost in public sector. Platform's ability to link multiple public agencies are capable of keystone. Therefore, designing the platform service model in public sector, setting an R&R (role and responsibility) of each related agency for platform governance to be considered in the perspective of national innovation system (NIS, National Innovation System).

Bauxite ore in the Wuchua-Zheng, an-Daozhan area, Northern Guizhou Province can be divided into 4 basic types: massive bauxite, clastic bauxite, oolithic bauxite and earthy bauxite. We find the four ores are kept in a continuous evolution from our comprehensive analysis on bauxite color, texture, composition and elements though they differ largely in texture and composition. Massive bauxite is the basic form of bauxite ore, earthy bauxite is the final form, and the basic evolutionary sequence of bauxite ore is: massive → clastic → oolithic → earthy or it can directly evolve from massive bauxite or clastic bauxite into earthy bauxite without oolithic bauxite process.

The tectonic position of anatase deposit in Shazi area, Qinglong, Guizhou Province is located at the transitional area between Yangtze Platform and the western part of South China orogenic belt. Three industrial ore bodies in this deposit are yielded above the limestone Karst unconformity of the Middle Permian Maokou Formation and at the bottom of Emeishan basalt. Genetic type of deposit is hot water -eluvium talus sedimentary which is related to the eruption of Emeishan basalt. Based on the analysis of chemistry, X-ray phase, electron probe and microscopic identification, etc., the data suggest that TiO2 in anatase ores are mainly present in the form of microgranular inclusions in silicate and quartz; secondly, Ti occurs as isomorphism in limonite; few are as independent minerals existing in the anatase with particle size greater than 0.04mm. According to the occurrence of Ti, it is determined that the anatase ores are extremely refractory, using conventional processing methods (heavy, magnetic, flotation) are not effective in enrichment anatase, but "roasting- acid leaching-alkaline leaching" beneficiation process works and obtain anatase with 42.32% TiO2. Extraction method can also enrich the associated element Sc, obtaining 99.99% scandium oxide products, and the leaching rate of Sc is 90%, which can produce iron oxide red and poly aluminum silicate salt (PSA) coagulant by-product. Mineral resources can be effectively developed and utilized without emission, which can obtain good environmental benefits.

Towards High Performance Organization: The Impacts of Job Characteristics and Job Crafting

The present study validated the study results regarding the relationship between job characteristics and job crafting with respect to a sales organization and demonstrates differences in organizational performance resulting from the effects of job characteristics and job crafting. As a theoretical model of the present study, five elements – skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy, and feedback – were set as premises that limit job crafting. In addition, we attempted to explain how performing job crafting consisting of task crafting, relational crafting and cognitive crafting affected organizational performance such as financial performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. To achieve this objective, eight propositions regarding the effect of job characteristics and job crafting on organizational performance were identified and 406 sales consultants from insurance firms were surveyed to test the hypothesis of the study. The results of the studies were as follows. First, job characteristics partially influenced job crafting as per sub-factors. Skill variety and feedback did not influence job crafting significantly whereas task identity, task significance, and autonomy influenced job crafting significantly. Second, job crafting had a positive effect on the financial performance of organizations. Third, job crafting had a positive effect on the job satisfaction of organization members. Fourth, job crafting had a positive effect on the organizational commitment of organization members.

Research on Personalization Algorithm based on Collaborative Filtering

For the issue of single CF algorithm performing low recommendation precision, we propose an adaptive Adaptive-Boost.RT ensemble learning algorithm. First, the base regression predictor is formed by minimizing the error function of user’s predicting ratings via gradient descent algorithm. Then, we introduce an adaptive error parameter, which has statistical property and can be adjusted automatically by the predict error, instead of original parameter. Experiments results demonstrate that this ensemble learning algorithm can improve performance of single CF model significantly.

For rolling bearing fault, there is a certain mapping relationship between failure state and its each frequency band energy and distribution, this paper proposes a bearing fault diagnosis method based on wavelet packet decompotion energy distribution and gray similar correlation degree. Introducing a concept of soft morphological filtering, combined the EMD method on the original vibration signal de-noising pretreatment. Decomposing bearing vibration acceleration signal after noise reduction into different frequency band signal by adopting the method of wavelet packet decomposition and calculating the energy distribution. Due to the gray similar correlation degree analysis for the classification of the small sample pattern recognition has a good effect, element structure characteristic vector by energy distribution, to judge the fault types by calculating the bearing vibration signal under different status similar correlation degree. Experimental results show that, the proposed can be effectively applied to bearing fault diagnosis.

The paper was aimed to investigate the effect of the LOGO programing language on the creativity development of elementary school students. And, this paper analyzed the statuses of STEAM education. And, suggested factors to realize successful STEAM education materials. An examination of the research on LOGO indicates that research is being amply conducted overseas on LOGO and thinking ability, planning ability and programming, the cognitive effects on programming, and the effects of learning LOGO on cognitive styles.

With the development of computer science and software engineering, the technology of the service composition has already become the mainstream of the application integration in the Internet environment of distributed interactive technology. Even though, there still be some problems that in some certain occasion. Pipeline technology has been used widely in industry level and micro instruction level, while service pipeline has not draw as much attention as the former. In this paper, the authors combine service composition technology and pipeline technology, and propose a service pipeline based on service composition model. The model can not only reuse variety of hardware and software, but also improve the flexibility of service platform greatly. The model has been validated in the experimental system.

Three-dimensional strip plastic deformation model is a key part of shape setup model in hot rolling. The numerical efficiency, accuracy and stability of the method are the main factors that may restrict its online application. Considering the theoretical limitations of existing models, basic equations include equilibrium equations with the effect of shear stress, constitutive equations based on incremental theory, and lubricated friction with the respective coefficients of friction at longitudinal and transverse direction. After normalization of parameters and the asymptotic analysis, the strip plastic deformation model is established, and solved by finite volume method and BICGSTAB algorithm to get the transverse distribution of rolling force of each stand. Compared to the finite element model established by ANSYS software, the new model has reliable results and a short computation time of 31 milliseconds, which show its feasibility of online application.

The rapid development of information technology and e-commerce has been gradually changing people's consuming habits and lifestyles. As e-services have extensive applications, the e-service platform has become an effective way to deliver services. In order to cater to different demands of consumers, enterprises have established the online channel and integrated it with the traditional channel. Improving the integration quality between these channels requires coordination between online and offline activities, including online e-services and offline experiences. In this paper, we attempt to explore, on the basis of the two-channel integration theory, the innovation in the application of e-services during the process of channel integration and some key issues in the dual-channel integration. The innovation redefines the main role of e-services, the e-service platform system, and the content of e-services.

The Antecedent and Consequences of Brand Image in a Low-Priced Cosmetic Brand of South Korea : The Moderating Effect of Gender

We performed a study to investigate the influence that brand image has on customer loyalty of a low-priced cosmetic brand through perceived value and customer satisfaction, as well as to examine the moderating role of gender. Appropriate measures were developed based on previous studies and tested on 234 consumers of Gyeongnam province in South Korea with a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. The results of the empirical analysis showed that perceived value positively affects brand image and customer satisfaction. Brand image positively influences customer loyalty but does not influence customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction has a positive effect on customer loyalty. The moderating effects of gender between perceived value and brand image and customer satisfaction, brand image and customer satisfaction and customer loyalty are not significant at the level of 0.05. However, there are some differences of the perceptions for perceived value, brand image, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty between male and female. It is identified that the subtle differences can be used as a demographic segmentation. Thus, marketers should focus on brand image to enhance customer loyalty through perceived value and customer satisfaction based on gender differentiation.

Research on User-item Rating based on Collaborative Filtering Algorithm

Traditional collaborative filtering methods just use user-item rating matrix to generate recommendations, and lead to difficult to computer the similarity because of the data sparsity. We propose a hybrid collaborative filtering algorithm combining the rating matrix and item attributes. First, we design a user similarity measurement method by computing the user’s preference to different item attributes, this approach is consistent with the true relationship between users, and also can effectively alleviate the issue of rating matrix sparse. Then, when computing the similarity of two users, we combine the Pearson correlation and the items attribute preference similarity, with a weighting coefficient “w” to balance the importance of two parts. Experiments show that this algorithm effectively solves the problem of data sparsity, and outperforms better when the sparsity is more serious, compared to the traditional CF algorithms.

In this paper, a new online method is proposed to measure and identify the spindle thermal error of the machining center. The method is firstly established by a comprehensive error identification model including geometric and thermal error. Then the multi-viewpoint modeling method based on stereo vision is adopted to obtain the solution of thermal deformation error without the influence of geometric error. A software is developed to online inspect and compensate the thermal error of machining center. The software is consisted by four modules, measurement module, error identification module, error compensation module and analysis module. It can not only be able to quickly identify the thermal error detection, but also can accurately predict thermal error, and effectively improve the machining accuracy. Finally, the experiment results show that the thermal error values of the machining center can be measured accurately and identified online quickly by the proposed software method.

Online-to-offline (O2O) commerce is emerging as a global issue as the number of consumers going to and fro from online to offline in search of optimal shopping conditions based on price and convenience rises rapidly. O2O commerce effectively connects online and offline services, thus providing services to consumers with greater convenience. Compared to such remarkable advancement, however, there is a noticeable shortage of research in this field. A review of preceding studies shows that a large part of the research that has been conducted is from the perspective of acceptance or proliferation, which are initial stages in the research of a field. On the contrary, research on the discontinuance intention of consumers already using O2O commerce are highly rare and calls for further research. This study examines consumers’ negative perception of O2O commerce and how this affects discontinuance intention of a service. The data utilized in the research was collected through a survey. It reached a conclusion by conducting an empirical analysis using structural equation methodology and proposed theoretical and practical suggestions.

A Study on CO Detection System of Vehicle Emissions based on QEPAS

In this paper, the technology of QEPAS was used to detect the concentration of carbon monoxide gas. The regulation of DBF laser’s input current frequency and temperature was made first, current modulation frequency being 0 f  f / 2 16420HZ (frequency modulation is half of the resonance frequency of the QTF) and operating temperature being T=23 degrees Celsius. Then enable the output wavelength to be near 1.567 μm and measure CO gas of different concentrations. Through the analysis of the relationship between the second harmonic signals of different concentration CO gas, it is found that between CO concentration and the second harmonic intensity exists good linear relationship and that the system has no independence on the incident light wavelength and has high sensitivity and large dynamic measurement range. The study provides a new way of thinking for other types of trace gas detection and can be applied to the detection of automobile exhaust emissions.

The collaboration between the company and its partners is becoming a competitive advantage to achieve long-term business success. Especially from the perspective of the supply chain, corporate profitability depends increasingly on their overall competitiveness in the supply chain rather than a single company. This paper is an attempt to the current issues and development of the supply chain collaborative technological innovation, and fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) is employed to assess the performance of the collaborative technological innovation from the supply chain perspective. An empirical study is illustrated to testify the effectiveness of this method. The managerial implications and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

When an emergency occurs in a building, congestion avoidance becomes a very serious localisation issue, which is often ignored. If the emergency involves the outbreak of fire, the rescue team must establish the easiest and quickest exit route from the building. Any delay could be very dangerous, potentially even resulting in fatalities. To avoid congestion, an effective Emergency Rescue Localisation (ERL) system is essential to help rescue teams determine the easiest exit route from the building. This paper proposes an ERL methodology, based on the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).In this system, the IMU helps to determine and obtain positioning data from a building’s interior. This study describes the application of the ERL system for an indoor situation in detail.

Palm methyl ester (PME) was prepared from palm oil through transesterification using NaOH as catalyst. Chemical composition of the PME and -10 petrodiesel (-10PD) was determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS). The PME and -10PD were characterized for their fuel properties including density, kinematic viscosity, and flash point, cold filter plugging point, sulfur content, copper strip corrosion and oxidative stability. Volatility was measured by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Volatile index was proposed to describe PME/-10PD volatility. A good correlation model was put forward for calculating the PME/-10PD volatility by PME blending ratio. The study showed that PME was mainly composed of long chain fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs): C14:0-C24:0, C16:1-C22:1, C18:2 and C18:3. -10PD was mainly composed of long chain alkanes: C8-C26. The fuel properties of PME were within the limits prescribed in the GB/T 20828-2007 standards for biodiesel. With respect to -10PD, volatilization of PME was stronger and quicker, but volatilization onset at higher temperature. The volatilization onset temperatures of PME and -10PD were 448.9 and 361.7 K respectively; and the volatile indexes were 1.76E-04 and 3.64E-05 respectively. The PME/-10PD volatility had relation to PME blending ratio. The volatility of B0-B20 was very close to the -10PD. The volatility of B20-B100 was better with increasing the PME blending ratio.

Chemical Composition and Cold Flow Property of Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel Fuel

The Cottonseed oil methyl ester (COME) was prepared using an alkali - catalyzed trans esterification reaction, and its chemical composition and cold flow properties (CFP) were studied. Two approaches, viz. blending with petrodiesel and treating with cold flow improver (CFI) were used to improve the CFP of COME. The results showed that COME was mainly composed of fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs): C14:0–C22:0, C16:1–C20:1, C18:2 and C18:3–C20:3. The mass fractions of saturated and unsaturated FAMEs were 27.69% and 71.65%, respectively. The cold filter plugging point (CFPP) and kinematic viscosity (KV) at 40 °C of COME are -1 °C and 4.63 mm2/s respectively. Blending with -10 petrodiesel (-10PD) and 0 petrodiesel (0PD) can decrease the CFPP of COME/-10PD (B30-B40) and COME/0PD (B40-B50) -12 and -8 °C respectively. With the increase in petrodiesel content, the KV at 40 °C of blending oil decreased, and viscosity-temperature characteristics of blending oil were improved. When used Flow Fit (≤3vol.%), the CFPPs were reduce from COME/- 10PD B5, B7, B10, B20, B50 and COME -8, -8, -9, -11, -11 and -1 °C to -28, -27, -26, -25, -16 and -5 °C respectively; COME/0PD -3, -3, -4, -5, -8 and -1 °C to - 26, -25, -24, -24, -16 and -5 °C respectively.

This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent H∞ control for AUV system with external disturbance. A delay-dependent H∞ control criteria is obtained and formulated in the form of LMI. It is obtained through Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and an integral inequality. Simulation example shows that the proposed method is effective.

However, many difficulties are inevitable because of limitations of external factors and internal factors, such as rural residents. Therefore, by using questionnaire as research method, this paper analyzes the factors influencing e-commerce in rural areas, and proposes the effective and practical strategies to improve rural residents’ living standard and make more contribution to build moderately prosperous society.

Agricultural product price fluctuation which has been periodically repeated for years is not just the issue of farmers who are the subject of the production but has close relationship with distribution institution, consumer, prices and agriculture policy making authority. But, most countries selected agricultural product distribution issue as the major strategy for agricultural product price stability. However, there is no successfully executed policy case because no in-depth analysis was tried regarding basic cause. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify stable agricultural product supply and demand plan through seeding information exchange between producers for stable agricultural product supply and demand plan. In order to exchange the information between nationwide producers, smartphone and NFC were used and this study was conducted to identify how to distribute collected information in central server to individual producers in the country.
