Both the official statistics and the dedicated literature acknowledge a problematic state-ofthe-art for the software industry: the elevation of the quality standards is a problem that preoccupies both the industry and the academic environment, the results being obtained are still insufficient, and considering the percentage of the projects that fail at different stages is worrying large. The lack of quality or the unsatisfactory quality are definite reasons for a failure, at once or delayed for a while, of the IT projects. In this paper, we try to identify an optimal work frame, in which the modeling languages may bring an important contribution to the quality assurance in the software industry.
QoS Management for SOA by Synchronizing Quality Context in UDDI

This paper presents the design principle for integrating quality management on Web service registry developed in UDDI specification and Web service quality management system (WSQMS). WSQMS, developed by NIA 1 can measure and collect the quality information of Web services by its agency system installed on the Web service system. Web service registry is core system for registering and searching WSDL(Web Service Description Language). On the registry, there are no methods that users search Web services on the basis of quality information because the registry is operating without any relationship of WSQMS. So, it is required an integration method where WSQMS and registries share the quality data on the basis of classified quality data. For representing Web service quality information, we adopted the WSQDL(Web Service Quality Description Language), which published by WSQM technical committee in OASIS. In more detail, this paper also presents the scheme to compose the classification scheme for quality data and to modify the necessary data structure of the registry.
Web-based Visualization and Analysis of Atmospheric Nucleation Processes

Nucleation phenomena play a pivotal role in many atmospheric and technological processes. However, understanding atmospheric nucleation processes has been difficult due to the lack of effective data exploration tools. In this paper, we present a web-based tool that allows remote users to mine the wealth of particle-based nucleation simulation data through web-based visualization and analysis. The simple yet effective web-based user interface is designed to support collaborative research in the area of atmospheric nucleation. The webbased tool also incorporates both visualization techniques and clustering analysis algorithms to support effective pattern recognition in the molecular self-organization of the clusters.
Distortion-Free Steganography Mechanism with Compression to VQ Indices

Directly embedding the secret data into the VQ-compressed domain is practical for reducing storage and transmittal bandwidth. Many steganography techniques are currently exploited for the VQ index table. However, embedding strategies extend the amount of compression needed for embedding secret data and distort the original quality of the VQ decompressed image. To satisfy the essentials of increasing the secret payload, preserve the VQ index table without loss, and reduce the compression rate, the proposed scheme utilizes search order coding to find the correlation between the VQ indices and neighboring indices. Due to the similarity of adjacent indices, the new scheme can effectively embed the secret stream into the index table and encode the embedded index table with fewer bits. The experimental results indicate that the new scheme can achieve superior outcomes of the compression rate and embedding efficiency than related steganography techniques.
