Sale Mode Choice of Product Extended Warranty based on the Service Level

Based on master-slave two-echelon supply chain, set a separate price for product extended warranty, and form both a product reflecting the risk avoidance by the customer and the demand function for product extended warranty. Study how service level tends to influence double marginal effect and complementary effect of the supply chain. And further analyze how service level tends to influence the sale mode choice of product extended warranty by the manufacturer and provide theories on the decision making for the manufacturer.

The research infrastructure project for the ICT device industry reliability is aimed to secure and establish the reliability of the ICT device industry, reinforce the competitiveness of domestic ICT device companies and expand their growth power in domestic and global markets. It is necessary to enhance and expand test and evaluation services for the domestic devices developed by small and medium-sized companies such as bench-mark test, certification test, function and performance verification test, delivery test and development assistance in improving the entrance of domestic ICT devices into the global market and their reliability, and it is imperative to establish the test evaluation infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to implement an economic feasibility study on this project of the research infrastructure for the ICT device industry reliability. The result of the economic feasibility analysis shows that the cost-benefit ratio (1.510) shown in table 3 is larger than 1, which indicates that it has more benefits than cost. And by the additional what-if analysis, this project shows its economic feasibility.

The technical similarity network and the cooperative network were built. The technical similarity relation on different thresholds may reflect a certain degree of technology competition situation. So the influence of technical similarity relation on the innovation performance is studied. When technical similarity value between 0.3 and 0.5, technical similarity relation has negative effects on the innovation performance, and the cooperative relation is a part or complete mediator.

This paper constructs interbank network based on the overnight interest rates of SHIBOR database. Direct friction and indirect friction of interbank network are defined and the influencing factors of friction are tested through panel data analysis. Results of panel regression show that four network centrality measurements of in degree, out degree, in degree and out degree all have significant effect on indirect friction, by contrast, only in degree and out degree have significant effect on direct friction. There are different effects under the condition of different samples. The results indicate that network structure determined by price spread influences the relationship between banks and frictions.

Much has been learned about ecological sanitation systems from the many units in the world today. In China and Vietnam, hundreds of thousands of rural households have double-varied toilets and many recycle their products in agriculture. This study focuses on a new improvement for the success of ecological sanitation project by using urine diverting dehydrating toilets including the design and management features of ecological sanitation toilet systems, so that mistakes can be avoided. Moreover, this will provide an overview of the variables that influence the choice of an appropriate sanitation system and the possibilities in dealing with liquids and in sanitizing solids.

Electronic nose (EN) is a equipment with ability of identification of simple or complex odors. Because of its low cost and accurate identification rate, the researches of it attract more attention and it develops quickly. Firstly, through Gas Sensor Array, we get large amount sample data and all data which is preprocessed. Secondly, modified Bp algorithm and RBF algorithm combining nearest neighbor - clustering algorithm and K-means clustering algorithm is proposed to realize the identification. Principal component analysis (PCA) method wipes off redundant sensor from the sensor array. Principle components and brief sensor signals are tested by above two algorithms. The test result indicated that the rapid and exact identification measure of ANN combining PCA is provided to the pattern identification with sensor information fusion.

This research is to understand a pre-service teacher’s class teaching performance in music based on a ‘curriculum literacy‘. Teacher’s curriculum professionalism is an important aspect for professional development on teaching. Ability to interpret a curriculum is crucial not just to enhance teacher‘s self-control and self-awareness on their classes, but also to make them ultimately ‘a developer’ of what they deliver to learners during classes. For collecting a data, 15 teaching performances have been video-taped and detailed class plans were collected along with lesson notes, and class writings, etc. Single session of the class is a standard of class analysis, and data has been analyzed according to criteria, created for this research purpose; class content vs. method, teacher interpretation vs. performance. Through this research process, hope that we can have an opportunity to think and define a concept of curriculum literacy finer and more adaptable to the field. So it can be utilized more susceptibly by teachers. Also understanding on pre-service teacher’s curriculum literacy can be an important foundation for their future training, and ultimately for suggesting an ideal goal they should be headed for.

The national primary and secondary school teachers education technology ability training aims to improve primary and secondary school teachers education technology ability, and promote the professional development of teacher. The sample of this study comes from 2010 to 2012 primary and secondary school teachers education technical ability test data in Baotou city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region. n this paper, using statistical analysis, interviews and other research methods, then in-depth analysis the influencing factors of education technical ability training effect, It can provide some references to carry out the education technology training and the new curriculum reform for the whole autonomous region.

The Chinese automotive industry is the largest in the world. Although after-sales services are known to be associated with profitability, it has not obtained its rightful prominence in the Chinese industry. To investigate how the quality of leader-member exchange can influence after-sales services in the Chinese automobile industry, we collected data from individual employees and customers and analyzed it using grey theory model. Based on the results, we proposed the industry to pay more attentions to tangible after-sales service. While previous studies tended to adopt an either customer or employee perspective, our research contributes to the literature by offering a more comprehensive perspective from both the standpoints of the organization and consumers, and our grey theory analytic approach offers a viable option for researchers who are interested in reducing biases in data due to the data aggregation process.

In this paper, a method for measuring 3D cognitive load is proposed. For that, 8-channel EEG data when watching 2D and 3D displays are 2-dimensionally reduced using principal component analysis then the reduced features are visualized and compared. Consequently, we confirmed that the difference between two feature distributions of watching 2D and 3D at early stage was significant then the difference was reduced through watching time flow. The result can be analyzed that the cognitive load caused by 3D binocular visual combination at early stage and the adaptation of 3D watching time.

This paper mainly conducted two series of experiments. One is investigation between language dependent and language independent features. Bi-grams in Korean experiments and uni-grams in Chinese contributed most as basic features. And another one is utilization of Korean WordNet to improve the performance of Korean document classification. Korean WordNet is a Korean Lexical Semantic Network. Language independent features seem can lead better performance and stable. The performance of Korean text classification was improved by using Korean WordNet.

As restaurant businesses adopt new table-top ordering system (TTOS), the management would want to measure the success of their technology investment. One good indicator is whether returning customers will choose to continue using TTOS after their initial experience. Founded on the Expectation-Confirmation Model (ECM), this study answers the question by investigating customers’ continuance intention to use TTOS. Survey data from 140 regular restaurant customers who have prior experience with TTOS shows that satisfaction and perceived usefulness significantly affect continuance intention to use. Perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and user interface significantly influence satisfaction while confirmation significantly affects perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and user interface. Self-efficacy has significant impact on user interface; confirmation does not have significant impact on satisfaction. The findings have valuable implications for restaurant businesses and IT companies on how they should design or update their TTOS in the future.

A description language CPSWS (Colored Petri net markup language of Semantic for Web Services) is suggested, which improved the formal definition of CPN (Colored Petri Net) of OWL-S (Ontology Web Language for Services) service. The language combines some abilities including semantic representation of OWL-S, automatic service combination of OWL-S, formal definition of CPN, and service description of CPN. The overall idea of engineering design is given, SCAToOWL algorithm which used to converted SCA component and composite into CPSWS is proposed in the paper. Research work about the paper is verified by the case which is the process of the job computing in the cloud platform for industrial design and simulation. Finally the direction for improving is put forward, including the realization of describing function, the integration technology to open source Tuscany and Spring.

Malayalam is Kerala's official language, south-western region of India mainly speak this language, and very less research has been done for designing Malayalam Unicode reader. The Unicode range of characters for Malayalam script is 0D00–0D7F. In this work, we are focusing on the script of Malayalam language and its Unicode required for coding in Hardware Descriptive Language. This paper covers the hardware design and implementation of Malayalam Unicode Reader (MUR) for Kairali scripts on Virtex-6 FPGA. This MUR design was tested with the device operating at frequency of 1THz, Capacitance has been varied from 1pF to 25pF with SSTL family (Stub Series Terminated Logic) with an interval of 5pf.

This paper reported a double layer cantilever harvester powered for vibration energy. A space layer between the PZT beam and the support silicon beam is existed, leading to the double layer cantilever structure. Such structure can allow the more strain generated by the piezoelectric layer due to the existing of space layer, and the output voltage is further increased. The formula of output voltage is then derived from the piezoelectric effect equation and vibration model. And the formula verifies the relationship of voltage and structure parameter. And the simulation in micrometer lever is used to discuss the relationship. Finally, the prototype is assembled and measured to verify the feature of the device. Experimentally, the 3.8V output voltage and 16.9uW output power is acquired.

This study aims to investigate Korean pre-service secondary school teachers (hereafter ‘KPSSTs’), who constitute the future leaders of multicultural education, and their level of awareness and experience toward multiculturalism and multicultural education, and to find ways to facilitate multicultural education in secondary schools as well as designing and running a pre-service secondary school teacher training program on multicultural education in colleges of education in Korea. 166 KPSSTs from 3 different universities in Seoul participated in the survey which examines their experience with multiculturalism and multicultural education and their level of awareness on these issues. The results were as follows: First of all, most KPSSTs had not experienced multiculturalism directly, but only indirectly through media. A slight majority of them had never had classes on multiculturalism, most of them had never taught students from multicultural families. Second, multicultural efficacy, which is the confidence in a teacher’s competence to teach students from culturally diverse backgrounds in a multicultural classroom environment, was average. Generally, KPSSTs were highly confident in guiding students to reduce prejudice and encourage them to foster mutual respect. However, they had low confidence in expert knowledge on multicultural education such as its contents, methods, and providing detailed descriptions related to multicultural education. Third, KPSSTs tended to approach multiculturalism by focusing primarily on race and ethnic group, which showed a lack of understanding on the broad scope of cultural diversity.

With the development of the single-chip microcomputer and integrated circuits, thermal resistance tester has gradually replaced the traditional temperature test equipment. The design uses the low power consumption MSP430 microcomputer as the core processor, heating power is produced by the switch tube FSDM0565RB, EMI filters is joined in the switch power supply in order to inhibit the influence of high frequency interference in AC power network on the equipment. Ref voltage of microcomputer generates through the transformation of voltage conversion chip AMS1117, signal input port uses voltage follower to minimize signal noise. The system circuit also joined some protection circuit, prevention of circuit false operation, etc. In the software design, measuring resistance judgment is achieved through the difference value of comparison measuring and standard resistance, which can shorten measure time and is very suitable for batch into production. Test results show that the thermal tester has a good stability and reliability, and meet the requirements of design.

This study contributes to the literature by considering a model for testing the quality of deposit services in the banking industry. The results indicating support for the hypotheses suggest that the five SERQUAL factors can be used to test banking services based on the whole system. Previous studies have shown that satisfying customers is not enough to retain them because even satisfied customers may defect at a high rate in many industries. Vietnam is a developing economy, and its banking sector has wide geographic reach catering to needs of a diverse range of customers. In this regard, the Vietnamese context offers a good opportunity for examining the issue of banking quality. Most customers have difficulty in understanding the complex nature of financial products and thus tend to focus on brand names, which are generally built on quality services.
LVCMOS Based Energy Efficient Sindhi Unicode Reader for Natural Processing on 28nm FPGA

In this research work, we have focused on designing an energy efficient Sindhi Unicode reader based on LVCMOS for natural processing. Unicode is a standard for a universal character set for all the scripts of the world. It is one of the fundamental technological building blocks for exchanging textual information internationally, via computers. The scripts of Sindh are Brahmi-based writing systems. Our main aim of this paper is to build an energy efficient low power design for this we have taken different frequencies and calculated its power. We have done power analysis on a constant temperature that is 25 degree Celsius and also keeping air flow constant. We have varied frequency and calculated power for different LVCMOS IO STANDARDs. Our design is based on 28nm FPGA and the code has been tested on Kintex-7 and the device used is XC7K160T, package used is FBG676 and it is working on -3 speed grade. At the end we have concluded that there is 3.27%, 3.38%, 4.34%, 3.12%, 4.54%, 4.28% saving in power dissipation with LVCMOS18 and LVCMOS15 when compared with LVCMOS33 at 1400 MHz, 1.2 GHz, 2100 MHz, 1700 MHz, 1800MHz, 2.2 GHz respectively.

In order to reduce the data storage and improve data compression ratio of the stiffness matrix of 3D finite element, after analyzed the relationship between nonzero submatrix and generalized adjacent nodes of the stiffness matrix, this paper proposes an improved stiffness matrix compression algorithm, which combined negative sign compressed sparse line and a rider to store binary classification method. Then the improved algorithm is applied to the storage of the stiffness matrix of 3D-FEM. Through experimental simulation, the results show that this method saves a lot of storage space to ensure the validity of data for finite element analysis.

Under the domestic and international market increasingly competitive circumstances, how to improve the management efficiency, restructuring of the industrial chain, improve the core competitive ability of enterprises is the issue of China’s enterprises must face. The objective of this study is to hope that through the empirical performance of China’s listing Corporation asset market analysis, in-depth study of divestiture announcement effect on stock price, to help people fully understand the important role of divestiture in the process of enterprise development. To provide some references for formulating relevant policies to restructure decision for the company, government and regulatory departments. This paper uses divestiture announcement between 2005 and 2013 as sample data, according to the selection standards, selected 324 divestiture announcement for the final study sample, makes an empirical analysis of the market performance of assets stripping and its influencing factors. The analysis results show: 1. More and more investors are optimistic about the asset stripping, asset divestiture announcement to increase shareholder wealth. But in the process of assets transaction there may exist the phenomenon of information disclosure and insider trading in advance. In addition, different stripping assets under the market performance is different. Under the way of equity stripping assets announcement effect is better than the physical assets way. 2. The greater the proportion of the first big shareholder holds, the impact of asset divestiture market performance is small. A listed company on ownership concentration is higher, the big shareholders often use information asymmetry infringe upon the interests of small shareholders, and the strategic decisions such as enterprise assets are greatly influenced by the large shareholders, lead to divest decision may not be voluntary. According to the theory of corporate governance, ownership concentration lower enterprise strategic decision is based on the principle of the enterprise value maximization, thus when ownership concentration is low enterprise assets announcement, the market will give positive response.

In line with the ever-tightening environmental regulations, countries all over the world are exerting efforts for the establishment of eco-friendly policies. Also, in the area of maritime and ports, the greening of the maritime and ports logistics area is emerging as an urgent task because of the serious level of pollution and increased carbon emissions in port regions. In order to respond to climate change within this age of “low-carbon green growth,” the construction of eco-friendly green ports becomes increasingly important. As such, many countries in the world are making various efforts to establish policy directions for the construction of eco-friendly ports. To reduce greenhouse gas, a systematic and reliable estimation system is very important. Accordingly, this research developed and suggested a system that can estimate CO2 emission from port facilities for the construction of green ports and the reduction of carbon emissions. It is expected that this system will be used as a basic data system in the policies for climate change response and greenhouse gas reduction, thus providing a more efficient management of carbon through a dimensional analysis of its emission sources.
A Decentralized Approach to Geometric Video Correction for Network-based Video Wall

This paper describes a decentralized approach to geometric video correction for networked client server based video wall with an art layout of heterogeneous displays. The proposed method is implemented on a mobile device, a video control server and multiple thin clients. The geometric mismatches due to such changes can be corrected even while the video wall is in operation. This proposed correction system is robust to change of positions or angles of the displays to some extent.

So numerous E-commerce websites provide product reviews function for consumers to publicize their personal reviews of purchased products and thus facilitate word-of-mouth communication among consumers. This paper describes word-of-mouth, as a potentially cost-effective means for marketing, especially influence of opinion leaders in electronic word-of-mouth marketing.

Reasonable financial leasing decision-making and pricing mechanism is the key for highway project that requires large amount of construction funds, and after-sales leaseback financial leasing mode can be well applied in financial leasing business of highway project. Based on financial real option theory, we put forward both financial leasing valuation model and binary tree option pricing model in the paper. Firstly, we analyzed real option value of financial leasing. Then, financial leasing decision-making and pricing model for highway project was built, and financial leasing decision-making and pricing method for highway project was further proposed. These models put forward in the paper can provide theoretical support for financial leasing decision-making and pricing for highway project.

How College Students Experience Work: Implications for Policy and Practice Development

The purpose of this study is to determine the status of work experience programs of college students and to suggest a measure for the future improvement of the work experience. A survey was conducted to the currently enrolled students of college and universities and those who graduated in February 2015, and 1,459 respondents were collected and analyzed. These college students who had work experiences showed significant differences in satisfaction according to the absence or presence of salaries and written employment contracts, and they also displayed differences in terms of the types of jobs they performed depending on the participation period. Also they called for improvement of salaries, discriminative treatment and safety of work experience programs. In order to improve future work experience programs, it is necessary to establish institutional protection measures by reflecting those demands.
Rough Set Approach for Identification of Accident on Water Route Segment

This paper presents a novel non-parametric methodology – rough set theory – for accident occurrence exploration. The rough set theory allows researchers to analyze accidents in multiple dimensions and to model accident occurrence as factor chains. Factor chains are composed of Seaman characteristic, ship’s characteristics, navigational behavior and environment factors that imply typical accident occurrence. Rose2 software tool is used. The purpose of this application is to find out the critical attributes to reduce the number of the fatality in maritime accidents. This paper explains the application on the accident reports of Accident Data database, containing data records for all categories of maritime accidents between the years of 2003 and 2009. Variable precision rough set is used to reduce the attributes of data set. The categorization tools and decision trees are used to find the relations and rules about the accidents resulted in fatality. Some rules about the fatality are obtained and also the attributes that affect the fatality in the incident have determined.
