In line with the ever-tightening environmental regulations, countries all over the world are exerting efforts for the establishment of eco-friendly policies. Also, in the area of maritime and ports, the greening of the maritime and ports logistics area is emerging as an urgent task because of the serious level of pollution and increased carbon emissions in port regions. In order to respond to climate change within this age of “low-carbon green growth,” the construction of eco-friendly green ports becomes increasingly important. As such, many countries in the world are making various efforts to establish policy directions for the construction of eco-friendly ports. To reduce greenhouse gas, a systematic and reliable estimation system is very important. Accordingly, this research developed and suggested a system that can estimate CO2 emission from port facilities for the construction of green ports and the reduction of carbon emissions. It is expected that this system will be used as a basic data system in the policies for climate change response and greenhouse gas reduction, thus providing a more efficient management of carbon through a dimensional analysis of its emission sources.
