Predicting Tourists Decisions to Adopt Mobile Travel Booking

This study aims to investigate the factors that predict tourist intention of using mobile travel booking with the technology acceptance model (TAM) as a base model. Variables such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, mobility and cost are used to examine the adoption intentions of tourists. The proposed model is empirically tested using data collected from a survey of tourists from Guangzhou and Shenzhen famous tourist attractions. The structural equation modeling technique is used to evaluate the causal model and confirmatory factor analysis is performed to examine the reliability and validity of the measurement model. The results show that all variables except perceived enjoyment significantly affect tourists’ usage intention. Among them, the perceived usefulness has the most significant influence.
Measuring End User Satisfaction with Hospital’s Mobile Health System in Korea

Our research seeks to measure End user satisfaction and identify the contributors of satisfaction in mobile healthcare system. We gathered data from internal end users from Hallym University hospital at the level of clinicians, such as medical doctor and nurse. We employed PLS (Partial Least Square) to analyze data and our results show that all three factors- content, accuracy, and ease of use explain the contributors of satisfaction. Moreover, our results provide the evidence that Korean Mobile Healthcare System priorities are Ease of Use and Content. Our study could contribute to mobile healthcare system developer to measure user’s satisfaction with mobile system. Data collected from Hallym University Medical Center year 2012 and analyzed using PLS (Partial Least Square) Out of 1668 clinical employees, only 7% response for the survey and majorities were nurses (93).
Scientific Collaboration Networks in China’s System Engineering Subject

The collaboration of scientific research is becoming more intensive, especially in interdisciplinary subjects. Complex network theory can be explored to demonstrate the characteristics of the scientific collaboration. This paper analyzes the co-author networks from 3 important journals in Chinese system engineering field in recent years using complex network theory. Scientific papers published on selected journals are used to construct the scientific collaboration networks. Statistical properties measuring the clusters of the constructed networks and influence of authors are studied. Empirical results show that the networks have two important features: small world effect and scale-free property, derived from the small average shortest path length, large average clustering coefficients and the power law of degree distributions of these networks. Besides, the structure of graphs in scientific collaboration networks is revealed and analyzed. Based on this analysis, the research groups that are active in the field of system engineering in China can be discovered in a qualitative way.

In this paper, we analyze the complexity of e-commerce ecosystem. The concept of e-commerce ecosystem is application the theory and research of natural ecosystem, business ecosystem and complexity science in the field of electronic commerce and those concepts provide system science methods and ecology methods to e-commerce ecosystem research. A population conceptual framework which is based on ecosystem and complexity network is proposed. Then, the complexity is examined from two aspects—the systematic and ecological ones. Finally, evolution process of e-commerce ecosystem is explained by a graph.
A Cross Layer Collaborating Cache Scheme to Improve Performance of HTTP Clients in MANETs

This paper proposes a novel cross layer collaborating cache scheme for HTTP clients. It is designed to accelerate the process that an HTTP client retrieves Web content in mobile ad hoc network environment. Unlike other techniques to exploit Web proxy caching or to build P2P protocol overlay to improve HTTP, our scheme incorporates collaboratively working capability into the HTTP client response cache, and thus there is no impact on the compatibility of upper level applications. In addition, as the sharing file information is diffused with routing information, there is no redundant traffic to maintain the cooperating cache mechanism. Using this scheme, cacheable Web content can be distributed among local peers and retrieved later by a client if needed. In our simulation results, this novel cache scheme significantly decreases the latency experienced by a client to download Web content.
Standardization, Modeling and Implementation of Points of Interest – a Touristic Perspective

Points of Interest (POI) are crucial content elements in various applications and services. Numerous use cases (e.g., navigation, mapping, or location-based services) causes that POI data is described in different, mostly proprietary formats. That prevents the use of POI across application boundaries. One reason is that there is no acknowledged POI data standard. However, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) released a promising working draft – the POI Core data model. Within this paper, the POI Core is analyzed and an XML schema for POI is presented from a touristic perspective. This schema is implemented using the GPS Exchange Format and a novel GPX extension. The extension enables a significantly improved inclusion of context information into POI descriptions. Finally, a concrete example of a touristic attraction, which is a specialization of POI, will be presented to show the value of the novel approach.
Reliability Prediction Model of the CNC System

In order to guarantee the effectiveness of the CNC system and reach expected reliability level, reliability prediction model was established for the CNC system by BP neural network algorithm based on the particle swarm optimization. The weight and threshold value of BP neural network were optimized with the particle swarm optimization algorithm, the three-layer BP neural network prediction model was established, and practical failure data verification was conducted for the model established. Through the simulation verification, the result suggested that this scheme is accurate and effective. The improved algorithm improves the convergence rate and BP network learning ability, carries out successful prediction for the reliability of the CNC system, and provides basis for the design decision of the CNC system.
A Framework of New Rural E-Government and the Related Information Resources Integration

Nowadays, with the rapid development of China’s economics, like many foreign governments, Chinese government regards improving farmers’ living standard as the basic state policy, which has introduced many policies and poured a large sum of money to develop and promote New Countryside Construction, and planning and building rural E-Government and E-commerce is key content of New Countryside Construction in china. This paper begins with exploratory research for designing New Rural E-Government and integrating the related information resources, which can provides a powerful technical support for further narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas to build a harmonious China society. This paper divides into 4 sections: the first to summarize the development of rural e-government in developed countries; the second to puts forward a framework model of rural e-government based on modern e-government and e-commerce management theories and combined with the characteristics of the development of rural area in China; the third to design an integration model of information resources in rural e-government, and gives the methods and goals of integration; At last, based on integration model of information resources and game theory, this paper analyses the strategy choices of sharing information resources in the new rural e-government, and proposes the corresponding suggestions for developing and constructing e-government in rural areas. At present, few research fruits has been applied to plan New Rural E-Government in China. So, the research in this paper is an innovation.
Research on Resources Integration of Urban Distribution System based on System Dynamics

Resource of urban distribution system is a typical distributed network structure and the goal to integrate the resources of urban distribution system is to maximize the system value. This paper carries out an in-depth analysis on urban distribution system by the methodology of System Dynamics. The modeling and computer simulation are given after the dissection of system boundary, main system factors and system causality. The simulation shows that, to achieve the desired integration level and to improve the resources owners’ efficiency, optimal the exogenous environment and introduce more favorable polices are both feasible, but to the other two factors, physical resources factor only effect the resources owners’ efficiency and the coordination mechanisms factor impact none.
Thai Passengers’ Satisfaction after Receiving Services from Thailand's Domestic Low Cost Airline

There are 3 major low-cost airline providers in Thailand. The demand for low cost airlines in the Thailand has also needs more and growing fast. This research studies about Thai passengers’ satisfaction after receiving services from Thailand's low cost airline. Employs sampling method on 400 Thai people who live in Bangkok and have used Low Cost Airline to travel. A random convenience sampling technique together with surveys is used to collect data. At a significance level of 0.05, demographic factors including gender and education do affect Thai passengers’ satisfaction after receiving services from Thailand's domestic low cost airline. In addition to the service marketing mix (7P’S) influence Thai passengers’ satisfaction after receiving services from Thailand's domestic low cost airline. Place, Product, Process and People mostly affect Thai passengers’ satisfaction after receiving services from Thailand's domestic low cost airline. Examples are the overall performance of on the ground service, the aircraft used for the travel are safety and checked before use, promotion such as privilege, mileage program, to load more baggage, convenience and speed of check-in process, convenience and speed of baggage claim, and convenience and speed of preparing for flight departure. Following by Physical evidence and Price respectively, while Promotion is among the bottom ranking.
Cellular Automata Ship Traffic Flow Model Considering Integrated Bridge System

For the purpose of efficiency and safety in marine traffic, and considering that ships have to change lane to move on in case of waterway partial closure caused by a marine work zone or an accidence, a new NaSch ship traffic model considering Integrated Bridge System (IBS) is presented, and then a cellular automata model considering IBS for partial reduction waterway is proposed. By numerical simulation, fundamental diagram and time-space spot diagrams of ship traffic flow and that when accidence happens and recovers are given. At last, a numerical example is forwarded to analyze the effect to waterway transit capacity by precautionary area length and ship arrival rate. The model may be applied in decision-making simulation and increase the transit capacity of waterway.
On Alleviation of New User Problem in Collaborative Filtering using SNA Theory

Collaborative filtering is the most used personalized recommendation technology. However, the traditional collaborative filtering faces the cold start problem and data sparsity, which deteriorates user experience and reduces the prediction accuracy. This paper presents a novel solution of new user problem with social network analysis (SNA) theory. First, the user relationship network is built based on the user-item rating matrix. Then all users will be divided into many different cliques according to SNA. The demographic user information of new user is used to find similar users in user attributes. Further, the candidate neighbors of new user can be obtained from cliques. Then, the preferential attachment characteristic of the free-scale network is introduced to eliminating the unsuitable neighbors. Finally, items are recommended with user-based nearest neighbor recommendation algorithm. The experiments show that the proposed approach alleviates the new user problem and improves the prediction accuracy effectively compared with other algorithms.

Nowadays main infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) systems have been widely exploiting the template-based VM creation and template caching techniques to reduce the startup latency of user VM and service response time. Because the new VMs created from the templates do not always have the same software system as needed, further reconfigurations, that is, installing the missing software components and removing the undesired ones, must be made before the VMs can be used by users. The reconfiguration time is also an important source of the VM startup latency. However, current template caching solutions based on the traditional caching strategy select some templates which are frequently used recently to cache without considering the reconfiguration time of various user VMs created in IaaS data center. In this paper, we exploit a modified k-means clustering method to optimize the selecting of templates to be cached and theoretically prove the selected ones can minimize the average reconfiguration time and then the average startup latency of all user VMs under the same limits on the number of templates which cache space can accommodate. The correlative simulation experiments also prove the effectiveness of our approach.

A great deal of emphasis is placed on the real societal benefits around nanotechnology for energy efficiency, renewable resources, environmental remediation and pollution prevention. In particular, new and better techniques for pollution control are emerging as nano-particles push the limits and capabilities of technology. Environmental Pollution by vehicles is caused due to tail-pipe exhaust emissions depending on changes in driving cycles, engine condition, fuel composition and air-fuel ratio. Malfunction of engine devices, especially fuel injection system, increases the emissions of the main exhaust components. In the present work, an improved design more suitable for implementation along with improved performance and efficiency in reducing the exhaust emissions from a four stroke spark ignition engine. In the present work some alterations and modifications have been designed so as to increase the retention period of exhaust gases to provide more time for its oxidation and thereby to reduce the harmful emission. In this research, modeling has been done for a four stroke spark ignition engine with nano-sized copper coated catalytic converter. It will throw a light on the reduction in emission achieved by nano-particle coating. This paper opens a gateway to study the changes in the concentration of exhaust emissions due to the nano-material coating. The modeling will help in understanding the mathematical nature of the process. The behavioral modeling, starts from analyzing the practical behavior of four stroke engine with designed catalytic convertor, and then approximating obtained behavior in terms of mathematical equations. These obtained equations actually represent behavior of concern system. Firstly, mathematical model is developed to implement it in the simulink platform. Then, to verify the results obtained from the model, simulation is performed.

In this study, it is supposed, when utilizing the IT, that the R&D activation of intermediate groups can be a role of relational property. The active activation of intermediate groups plays a role of communicative mechanism, and it comes to be based upon the parts designing from its earlier steps and cooperative trust. It is mainly purposed to enhance such abilities as clearing the fund raising from outside, supplying through the related business partners, strategic partnership, and resolving the problems through the in-house human resources. It is purposed to figure out the factors influencing on the enterprises’ R&D and to understand their technical gap between small companies and conglomerates. To do this, it is conducted around the network theory which is combined with the resource dependent theory as the methodology for technique collaboration, at the same time looking at the importance of intermediate R&D organizations and problems from the environment inside and outside.
