Purpose: This cross-sectional study compared the level of sense of crisis among middle-aged women and identified factors associated with it. Methods: Data were collected from 267 middle-aged women residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province using structured questionnaires measuring sense of crisis, coping skills, impact of events, and family support. Data were analyzed using the x2 test, independent t-test, and multiple logistic regression with bootstrap confidence intervals using SPSS/WIN 29.0. Results: Of the 267 participants, 192 (71.9%) were classified as experiencing a sense of crisis, whereas 75 (28.1%) were classified as not experiencing a sense of crisis. In the multivariate analysis, age, work-family conflict, marital status, presence of underlying diseases, anger, and impact of events were significantly associated with the likelihood of experiencing a sense of crisis. In particular, women with underlying diseases and higher anger levels had significantly higher odds of experiencing a sense of crisis. Higher family support was associated with lower odds of experiencing a sense of crisis, whereas hobbies and coping skills were not statistically significant in the adjusted model. Conclusion: The findings suggest that sense of crisis among middle-aged women is associated with a combination of health status, emotional factors, and role-related stress. Integrated interventions addressing chronic disease management and emotional regulation may be needed to reduce the sense of crisis. In addition, workplace policies that support work-family balance, along with family- based counseling and community support programs, should be strengthened to promote psychological well-being and facilitate role adaptation among middle-aged women

Purpose: This study examined the relationships between job stress, coworker support, rewards and retention intention among hospital nurses. Methods: A descriptive correlational design was used with 154 nurses from one tertiary and two general hospitals in B city, South Korea. Job stress, coworker support, rewards and retention intention were measured using validated instruments. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results: Job stress was negatively correlated with retention intention, whereas coworker support and rewards were positively correlated. Multiple regression analysis revealed that job stress (β=-.34, p<.001), coworker support (β=.25, p=.001) and rewards (β=.20, p=.010) were significantly correlated with retention intention, explaining 38.0% of the variance (F=11.43, p<.001). Conclusion: Job stress, coworker support and rewards were significantly correlated with retention intention among hospital nurses. These findings suggest that organizational factors should be considered in efforts to improve nurses’ retention intention.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effects of integrated care competency, resilience, role conflict, and role ambiguity on burnout among community health nurses assigned to sub-district offices (Eup, Myeon, and Dong) in South Korea. Methods: This descriptive correlational study surveyed 223 public health nurses nationwide from November 21 to 25, 2025. Data collected via online surveys were analyzed using independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 30.0. Results: The significant factors affecting burnout were role conflict (β=.51, p<.001) and resilience (β=-.38, p<.001), explaining 31.4% of the total variance in burnout (F=51.69, p<.001). Conclusion: To mitigate burnout among public health nurses’ in community centers, it is essential to develop organizational strategies that reduce role conflict and intervention programs that enhance individual resilience

Purpose: This study examined the moderating effects of job resources on the association between ergonomic job demands and self-reported musculoskeletal symptoms based on the Job Demands-Resources model. Methods: This secondary cross-sectional study used data from 25,935 wage workers from the Seventh Korean Working Conditions Survey (2023). Ergonomic job demands included repetitive movements, awkward postures, and manual handling of heavy loads. Job resources included social support, fair treatment, occupational safety and health information, and on-the-job training (OJT). Weighted linear regression and interaction analyses were performed. Results: Ergonomic job demands were positively associated with musculoskeletal symptoms (p<.001). Fair treatment was negatively associated with musculoskeletal symptoms (p=.005), whereas social support, occupational safety and health information, and OJT showed positive associations (all p<.05). Fair treatment (p<.001) and OJT (p=.010) showed negative interaction effects, whereas social support and occupational safety and health information showed positive interaction effects (both p<.001). Conclusion: Job resources showed different moderating effects. Fair treatment and OJT buffered the association between ergonomic job demands and musculoskeletal symptoms. Positive interaction effects for social support and occupational safety and health information should be interpreted cautiously given the cross-sectional design. Workplace interventions should prioritize ergonomic improvements alongside appropriate job resources.
