Z세대 자살시도 영향요인: 2022년 지역사회건강조사를 활용하여

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify suicide attempts in Generation Z and the factors affecting these suicide attempts. Methods: A total of 15,526 individuals from Generation Z were selected and analyzed using the 2022 Community Health Survey. The Rao-Scott chi-square-test was conducted to evaluate differences between demographic characteristics, health status, and mental health according to suicide attempts. Results: Among the participants, 0.6% of Generation Z participants attempted suicide. Subjective health status (odds ratio [OR]=1.88, 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.02~3.44), smoking (OR=1.87, 95% CI=1.14~3.04), depression experiences (OR=15.94, 95% CI=8.25~30.80), life satisfaction (OR=11.22, 95% CI=5.12~24.59), and suicidal ideation (OR=7.41, 95% CI=6.08~9.05) were identified as significant influencing factors in suicide attempts. Conclusion: Various programs should be developed to improve life satisfaction and manage mental health issues, such as depression and stress, which are the major factors influencing suicide attempts in Generation Z. In addition, active attention should be paid to the mental health of Generation Z.
교대근무 간호사의 근무시간 외 업무연락이 일-생활 균형에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the extent of work-related contact after working hours and work-life balance among shift work nurses and the impact of work-related contact after working hours on work-life balance. Methods: A descriptive research design was used with a convenience sample of 165 nurses. Data were collected from August 1 to August 31, 2024 using self-reported questionnaires. Data were analyzed with a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple linear regression analyses using SPSS/WIN 30 software. Results: We found that work-life balance was significantly and negatively related to age (β=-.42, p<.001) and the degree of work-related contact after working hours (β=-.19, p=.016), with an explanatory power of 24.6% (F=4.54, p<.001). Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of reducing unnecessary work-related contact after working hours and improving work-life balance, which is expected to enhance not only job satisfaction but also the quality of life of shift work nurses.

Purpose: This study examined the determinants of subjective health status among older adult construction workers according to Dahlgren and Whitehead’s (1991) health determinant model. Methods: We analyzed the responses of 617 workers aged 55 years and older using data from the sixth Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). Data analyses included descriptive statistics, x2 tests, Pearson’s rank correlation, Cramer’s V, and ordered probit models. We applied the KWCS weighting guidelines using IBM SPSS Statistics (version 23.0) and STATA 17.0. Results: Only 58.1% of participants rated their health as “good.” Significant factors associated with reduced health likelihood included lower education levels (12.9% decrease), existing health problems (30.1% decrease), sleep disorders (16.0% decrease), temporary employment status (11.1% decrease), and dissatisfaction with one’s work environment (16.8% decrease). Health-related absenteeism and presenteeism decreased the probability of reporting “good” health by 18.5% and 9.4%, respectively. Conclusion: Targeted interventions and occupational health policies should prioritize health management, sleep quality improvement, job satisfaction enhancement, and employment stability in order to improve the subjective health of older construction workers.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of nursing practice environment, teamwork, and generational conflict within organizations on organizational commitment among hospital nurses. Methods: Data were collected from June 12 to August 14, 2024, from 190 nurses at five hospitals, including general hospitals located in B city, U city, and Y city. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe’s test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 28.0 were used to analyze the collected data. Results: The level of organizational commitment was positively correlated with nursing practice environment (r=.63, p<.001) and teamwork (r=.48, p<.001) and negatively correlated with generational conflict within the organization (r=-.16, p=.028). Organizational commitment was significantly affected by nursing practice environment (β=.50, p<.001), teamwork (β=.21, p=.001), and clinical career (β=-.16, p=.004). Conclusion: These findings indicate that nursing practice environment, teamwork, and clinical career are associated with organizational commitment. Therefore, to enhance hospital nurses’ organizational commitment, interventions and policies should be developed to increase nurses’ teamwork and improve nursing practice environments at the hospital level.

Purpose: This study was intended to examine the effects of fatigue and rewards on health-promoting behaviors among clinical nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 157 nurses with more than nine months of clinical experience between June 13 and July 9, 2024. A structured self-report questionnaire was used to assess fatigue, rewards, and health-promoting behaviors. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Duncan’s tests, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Fatigue was negatively correlated with health-promoting behaviors (r=-.43, p<.001), while rewards were positively correlated (r=.39, p<.001). Multiple regression analysis revealed that both fatigue (β=-.36, p<.001) and rewards (β=.26, p=.002) were significant predictors of health-promoting behaviors. Conclusion: The findings indicate that fatigue and rewards are key factors influencing health-promoting behaviors among clinical nurses. Interventions aimed at reducing fatigue and enhancing reward systems are essential for fostering health-promoting behaviors among clinical nurses.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine resilience, the nursing work environment, and patient-centered communi cation among hospital nurses, and to identify factors influencing person-centered nursing practice. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 204 nurses working at a university hospital in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS version 27.0. Descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis were employed to assess the relationships among variables and identify predictors of person-centered nursing practice. Results: Patient-centered communication (β=.54, p<.001), resilience (β=.28, p<.001), and the nursing work environment (β=.11, p=.046). significantly influenced person-centered nursing practice. Together, these factors accounted for 62% of the variance in person-centered nursing practice (F=56.44, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings highlight the importance of enhancing patient-centered communication skills, strengthening resilience, and improving the nursing work environment to promote person-centered nursing practice in hospitals. Organizational strategies and educational interventions should be systematically developed and implemented to support nurses in practicing high-quality person-centered nursing.
