This study aims to investigate the use state of the health service computerization system in the occupational nursing field and the occupational nursers' satisfaction level, and provide basic data to promote the development of the health service computerization system for the nursing field. For this study, a questionnaire was provided to 118 occupational nurses who belong to Busan and Gyeongnam branches of KAOHN(Korean Association of Occupational Health Nurses) for 2 months (from Dec. 1, 2002 to Jan. 31, 2003). A tool of Choi Yong-Heui(2000) was used to investigate the satisfaction level of using the health service computerization system. The collected materials were analyzed in real number and percentage, average and standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA by using the SPSS WIN 10.0 program.

중소규모 제조업 근로자의 상지 근골격계질환 발생에 영향을 미치는 요인

Purpose: This study was conducted at smallto-medium-sized manufacture enterprises less than 300 employees. Method: For 167 workers in 12 small-to-medium-sized manufacture, we examined the self-recording questionnaires about general characteristics, health characteristics, occupational characteristics and subjective musculoskeletal symptoms designed by NIOSH. Result: Related factors of upper limb musculoskeletal symptoms were found in using of the PC except work, the speed control at working and inappropriate positions for neck, and that using of the PC except work, the degree of intensity at working and the speed control at working for shoulder, and that the degree of intensity at working, the speed control at working, inappropriate positions and excessive workforce for arm/elbow, and that the degree of intensity at working, the speed control at working, inappropriate positions, excessive strong and vibration for hand/wrist/ fingers. Conclusion: As a result of multiple logistic regression analysis, musculoskeletal symptoms of neck were influenced by use of the PC except work, household work, and the speed control at working, symptoms of shoulder by using of the PC of except work and the degree of intensity at working, symptoms of arm/elbow by the speed control at working, and symptoms of hand/wrist/fingers by the degree of intensity at work and excessive workforce.

NOISH 직무스트레스 모형을 적용한 임상간호사의 직무스트레스 원인과 직무만족도 분석

Purpose: This study was performed to identify the factors of the job stress and to analysis affecting job satisfaction in clinical nurses, using the Job Stress Model by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Method: Data collection was done from July 21 to July 30, 2003. The study was involved in 203 nurses who work at the hospital. It was examined the self-recording questionnaire about general characteristics, work-related factors, non-work factors, instrument revised by NIOSH Job Stress questionnaire translated by the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Research Institute(1999). Instrument about shift work was the tool developed by Kim and Gu(1984). Result: Job satisfaction of subjects at an average level with 1.96±0.37 score on the basis of 3 points. According to general characteristics, job satisfaction was high in those with older age and married group. According to work related general factors, job satisfaction was high with working career, an officer to higher grade. According to work characteristics factors, job satisfaction was low with much role conflict at work and much workload and much interpersonal conflict. As for the relationship between job satisfaction and non-work factor, job satisfaction was did not show statistically significant differences. As a result of Stepwise multiple regression analysis, job satisfaction was influenced by shift work, conflicts of between group and grade of office. Conclusion: Therefore, it suggests that the nurses need stress management related shift work for improvement of job satisfaction.

임상간호사의 직무스트레스에 관한 국내논문분석

Purpose: To understand the recent trend of studies for nursing job stress, we collected Korean articles about job stress of clinical nurses. Method: Seventy two articles were selected from the database of "richis", Korean journals of related academic society, and dissertation papers, which are presented from 1981 to 2002. Result: The trend shows that the number of researches for the job stress of clinical nurses are increasing from the year of 1996. Most of the researches are for dissertation papers (75.0%), have done surveys (90.3%), and used questionnaires (94.4%). The nurses who were studied have their jobs in general wards of hospitals (50.6%). And 36.1% of the researches used the tool of Kim and Gu (1984) to measure job stress. These researches focused mainly on job satisfaction, burnout and coping successively. Conclusion: As only 6 out of 72 researches examined in this study have experimental design (8.3%), it can be said that more experimental studies are needed in this area. And we might also consider to use metaanalytic techniques for further studies, because these researches have used very similar tools for the same subject.

직장여성의 심혈관계질환 위험요인에 관한 연구

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate cardiovascular risk factors, their interaction, degree of cardiovascular risk and to analyze the effects of related fcators in women workers. Method: A Survey was conducted in 529 employed women in 36 workplaces from October 25, 2002 to December 12, 2002. The survey was distributed and collected by occupational health nurses working at work sites. Result: The result were as followings; The female workers had about 2 cardiovascular risk factors. 82.1% were not exercising more than 3 times a week, 45.9% reported noise-exposure, 38.2% had higher perceived stress, 25.4% were shift-workers, 10.4% were long-time workers(over 60hour/ week), 4.4% were frequent drinker, 3.9% were current smokers. The rate of obesity in measured as BMI greater than 25 was 4.0%. Many cardiovascular risk factors were correlated. Job-related and health behavior-related cardiovascular risk factors were correlated statistically. Expose to noise, reported perceived stress were powerful predictors in their degree of cardiovascular risk. Conclusion; Based on the results of this study, cardiovascular prevention programs for women in workplace should be designed as a multifactorial approach, which include stress management and job-related risk factor management as essential components to be effective in addressing the needs of the population.

Workplace Health Promotion in Thai Occupational Health Nursing

The increase of health care expenditure for Thai worker calls for the need of workplace health promotion. The purpose of this article is to describe the status of workplace health promotion in Thailand, emphasizing the roles of occupational health nurse. Secondary data analysis and extensive literature reviews were conducted. Results showed that Thailand is committed with implementing health promotion concepts in various settings including workplace. Several public organizations have developed national workplace health projects with different strategies and approaches. Role of occupational health nurses in workplace health promotion has gradually expanded. The new law specifying the functions of occupational health nurse in providing comprehensive health services is in the process. Occupational health nursing standard as related to workplace health promotion has been developed. A research ‐based case study on workplace health promotion program is also presented to elaborate the proactive roles of occupational health nurse. Findings of this study suggest the transitional roles of Thai occupational health nurses in which training and technical supports from related organizations are in need.
