Along with the continuous development of the sensor network technology, sensors from all over the world are constantly producing sensor data. However, the sensor data from different source is hard to work together for lack of semantic. Fortunately, SSN ontology provide a way to represent sensor data semantically, but how to transform sensor data into the instance of SSN ontology conveniently is still an issue to be considered. This paper proposed a solution to map sensor data to SSN ontology automatically based on a predefined XML-based document. We design a mapping language SASML (Sensors Annotation and Semantic Mapping Language) which provide a schema to annotate sensors and sources so as to generate a XML document for mapping. Then, an algorithm (namely SDRM) is designed to automatically transform sensor data, which described by SASML, to RDF conforming to SSN ontology, according to the mapping document and the element correspondences between the SASML and SSN ontology. Further, a case study about sensor data from greenhouse is presented to illustrate our method, and a prototype is also developed to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness.

Development in digital technology and video technology significantly contributes to increases of the utilization of video sources in a variety of performances. At the same time, the necessity to promptly control and change the video gets higher, especially in live performance. In these circumstances, if the performer could control the video depending on actions without need of direct contact to the device, live video performance will be much faster and more convenient. In other cases, DJ who carries out mixing music in club and DJ party would like to take a role of visual performer as well, or control background video in realtime corresponding to the music being played. In these cases, gesture recognition based non-contact interface could be advantageous over a traditional way of touching or contacting the device directly. To this end, the starting point of our study is to devise the user interface that enables a live video production making use of hand gesture recognition device. However, the hand gesture recognition based user interface might cause unintended wrong recognition due to similarity of device-controlling hand gesture and normal hand gesture. To prevent this, we introduce the gesture-recognition mode switcher using pre-gesture.

Disassembly modeling and planning is meaningful and instructive for remanufacturing and recycling of disused products. However, an actual disassembly process of products has uncertainties since a variety of unpredictable factors. To handle such uncertainty, this work presents a novel disassembly modeling and planning approach using an extended stochastic Petri nets. An extended stochastic disassembly Petri nets (ESDPN) model is defined to provide basis for disassembly planning. Moreover, based on it, some typical probability evaluation models is built accordion to different disassembly criterion. In addition, a hybrid intelligent integrating stochastic simulation and neural network (NN) is proposed to solve the proposed models, respectively. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the proposed models and the effectiveness of proposed algorithms.

We present an artificial social model of complex agent network, CASugarscape, to study the interaction between social network and social wealth. In the space of Sugarscape, agents survive by constantly looking for wealth within their own social circle taking their own field of vision as radius. However, agents survive by looking for wealth within the social network of friends who share wealth each other in the space of CASugarscape. In the proposed CASugarscape model, agents have different social radius based on social circle theory, which form acquaintance networks through social radius and build friendship networks through the rules of matching social wealth. Individual takes advantage of the distribution information of wealth, which comes from friend network, to look for wealth. The change of agents’ wealth distribution will affect their own acquaintance and friendship networks. Eventually it forms the social wealth and social network co-evolution mechanism. We analyze the impacts of different friend networks built through different rules of matching social wealth on social networks and social wealth distribution.

This paper presents Wind Frame, a sonic display and machine that can listen from wind flow. The installation is based on interactive, reactive, and generative processes as they relate to intersections between natural and mechanical systems. It develops the sonification of wind flow, in a series of interactive projects to re-generate a natural phenomenon through a combination of analog and digital technology. The interaction technique involves the use of an accelerometer, Bluetooth modules, ventilation fans, relays, an Arduino processor, and a mechanical structure for generating and amplifying artificial wind sounds. This work investigates the qualities of audible and tactile display, mechanical device and interactive sound art, while addressing multi-sensory aspects of air movement.

Password generation and password management are the most important factors in information security. Hence, this study measures the degree of inclusion of information that is identical or similar to personal information among the passwords generated by teenagers. It is reported that for each teenager there are approximately 3.3 passwords and the number of passwords that need to be managed by individuals is constantly increasing due to rapid expansion of the Internet of Things. The results of this study showed that, of the student generated passwords, 40% are similar to their IDs and 70% are consistent with their personal information. Out of these, 67.5% of the respondents stated that they did not periodically change their passwords. It also indicated that 87.5% of the passwords consist of both characters and numbers, which are a general characteristics of passwords generated by the people in Korea, and only 1.1% of the passwords include special characters. It was also found that 32.2% of the students experience hacking incidents, of which 53.7% of the incidents occur in games and 34.5% in portal sites; this implies that students become victims of hacking in cyber space that they use frequently. However, information security education in school does not provide detailed information on passwords, thus requiring urgent improvement.

The complexity and turbulence of a project may lead to its unpredictability, so risk management is increasingly important. This paper focuses on the application of Monte Carlo method in project management as follow: first, deals with the estimated scale with Wide band Delphi method and gets the interval of prediction after making repeated samples in line with the generally adopted probability models; then figures out the workloads according to the management abilities and historical date; finally obtains the progress of the project with a method combining COCOMOⅡ method and then improves the ability to predict and control management activities with uncertainties.

Analytic Network Process (ANP) has been widely used in solving many complicated decision making problems. An approach to acquire the comprehensive weights of interval-valued Analytic Network Process (IV-ANP) is proposed. Firstly, the independent local interval-valued weights are obtained by solving the goal programming for interval-valued pairwise comparison matrices. Based on the interaction and feedback relationships among criteria and/or indices, an unweighted interval-valued supermatrix is formed. To avoid loss of information, an extreme value method is developed for acquiring the global weights of IV-ANP. Secondly, the alternatives are ranked on the basis of interval-valued preference order. Finally, with the interaction and feedback relationships between criteria and/or indices being considered, an index system for assessing the risk of dynamic alliance is presented. With the uncertain and inaccurate information during the evaluation process being considered, the proposed IV-ANP method is applied for risk assessment of dynamic alliance, and sensitivity analyses for some key risk factors are performed to show their impacts on the risk levels of alliance enterprises.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to find hidden waste and non-value- added activities during the whole process of M company, and then optimize production processes, shorten the production cycle, improve production efficiency, and ultimately achieve just-in-time production mode which response to customer demand rapidly. Design/methodology/approach: In order to identify and eliminate such kind of non-value added waste, the authors draw a current value stream map and a future value stream map of the SM6 series products in one electric- equipment-manufacturing enterprise. By analyzing the value stream mapping of the whole process of SM6 series products, the authors find hidden wastes and non-value-added activities, and then the authors use industrial engineering "ECRS principle" and "5W2H principle” to adjust and make new production plan model, including the analysis and evaluation of the production process, production line layout and other aspects, then, the authors optimize the working process and set up a new production process. Findings and Originality/value: By using Kanban and other lean concepts and techniques, the authors finally achieved pull mode of production (just-in-time production), and shorten production cycle, reduce inventory of semi-finished product and end product, eliminate excess production, and save labor cost, realize the "5S" management mode effectively. Practical implications: The successful application of pull mode of production in the SM6 series products has set an example in implementing lean activities for the company’s other product series and most other manufacturing enterprise, Social implications: it also has a significance guiding for value stream mapping and lean thinking to be practiced in Chinese manufacturing enterprise and other industries.
