This study analyzed the effect of urban-rural integration features on the fear of crime using multilevel ordered logistic model. As a result of the analysis, this study identified that the individual characteristics are important factors that affect the fear of crime, and in particular, it is found differences in perception of the fear of crime according to gender. Next, the result was derived that urban and rural integration feature was the most important factor affecting the fear of crime, excluding gender. In addition, this study confirmed that the increase in rural areas aggravates the fear of crime, while the increase in urban areas mitigates the fear. Based on these conclusions, this study produced the following policy implications. First, the crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) must be applied when promoting the urban-rural integration process. Second, it will have to actively accept second-generation CPTED plan which focuses not only on improving the physical environment but also on enhancing residents’ participation and ties. Third, the expansion of CPTED facilities in rural areas should be considered first.

The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of satisfaction of residents of the light-garam innovation city on social capital through loyalty, and to suggest policy implications for the qualitative development of the overall social community as well as the improvement of the settlement environment of innovative cities. To achieve the purpose of this study, the research model was revised by considering the theory and previous studies and adding social capital and loyalty based on the customer satisfaction index model (NCSI). This study conducted a survey of 307 residents of the light-garam innovation city and verified the influence relationship using the structural equation model (SEM). The results of this study and the policy implications are as follows. First, the level of the innovative city migration zone has a positive effect on the satisfaction of residents through quality and value, and the perception of the value of the innovative city has a lower effect on the satisfaction than the quality perception. In order to continuously develop the light-gam innovation city in the future, it is necessary to focus on administrative services that increase the perception of the quality and value of the city. Second, residents' satisfaction with innovative cities had a positive effect on social capital, but satisfaction had a greater influence on social capital when loyalty was mediated. The following are policy implications: Innovative cities are in need of family migration rate of public institution employees and inflow of excellent companies and talent in the metropolitan area for the second leap forward. To do this, it is necessary to make the value of innovative cities one step further by forming trust, norms and networks of communities as well as improving the quality of settlement environment. To this end, policies and programs that can increase social capital should be operated together with residents who are loyal to innovative cities. In addition, local governments should establish a system that can secure professional manpower together and effectively implement policies.

This study raises the necessity of building “Creative-Innovation Space” for resolving local community agenda in preparing for future science and technology society. Creative-Innovation Space is a convergence space for technology and art, and it is a place to fulfill social values by discovering new local agendas based on the public sector's support and the private sector's positive participation and creating local capabilities through creative ideas. This study establishes the concept of “Creative Innovation Space” and selects possible sites to create “Creative Innovation Space” in the Yeongdo Island. In addition, this study establishes the value, direction, and the principle of “Creative Innovation Space” and suggests spatial and functional compositions, operation players, and roles. In the Yeongdo Island, there is a high demand for the overcoming of current issues (aging population, decreased population, unemployment, vacant space) and responding to future issues (innovation of the manufacturing sector, technology development in connection with innovation districts, creativity increased through culture). Hopefully, the local agenda will be overcome and the local area will be revitalized by building “Creative -Innovation Space” where marine science & technology and culture are integrated based on the area’s innovation and creative resources.

While active research on Urban Air Mobility(UAM) is being conducted, interest in urban planning is insufficient. UAM's operating model and ground infrastructure are closely related to urban planning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to classify the UAM operation model and ground infrastructure. For this, literature analysis was conducted. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the operation model was largely divided into passenger transport, cargo transport and special purposes. The passenger operating model was categorized into Air Metro, Air Taxi, Airport Shuttle, MaaS, and PAV. The cargo operation model was categorized into Last-mile delivery and Air Cargo. The special purpose operation model was categorized into Air Ambulance and Medical Transfer. Second, ground infrastructure was largely divided into small size, medium size and large size. Small infrastructure includes a rooftop station type and a ground station type. There are two types of large infrastructure: a terminal type located in the city center and a garage type located in a suburban area.

Demographic change has been paid attention to policy makers in South Korea because this country experienced unprecedented aging society. Even large metropolitan cities lost their population and the ratio of working age population sharply dropped. There has been growing concern on the devastating effect of rapid demographic changes on the metropolitan cities. The paper aims to analyze the effect of demographic structural change on the regional economic growth in a case of Incheon metropolitan city of South Korea. We employ a growth decomposition method through which per capita GRDP is decomposed into some factors including productivity, reallocation of labor, employment rate, and ratio of working age population. The analytical result provides some empirical findings of the negative effect of population aging but those effects are offset by increase of labor market participation and sectoral productivity. In addition, we simulate the effect of demographic changes over 20 years. It shows that per capita GRDP of Incheon metropolitan city would reach a peak in 2028 and then decline gradually.

The introduction of smart architecture is being promoted by the spread of fourth industrial revolution technology. Smart architecture is a major component of smart city which shares physical space and information with smart city. However, since the concept of smart architecture has not been established beforehand, there it may cause confusion in the introduction of smart architecture. Therefore, in this study, to establish the concept of smart architecture, FGI(Focus Group Interview), research review, and questionnaire survey based AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) was performed. Keywords were collected from a total of 19 literatures and 13 experts. In addition, an AHP survey was conducted with 153 experts. As a result, the smart architecture should focus on several aspects including the service that the building provides to users, its role in smart city.

The Urban Regeneration Center has been established in 17 local governments nationwide, but it is an organization that can decide whether or not to install it according to the conditions of the local government. It does not perform independent functions that can be distinguished. Therefore, this study is aimed at experts in related fields such as administrative agencies, support center members, academia and research institutes, and explores ways to fulfill the natural role and function of the regional support center, and‘preparing the foundation for collaboration through the formation of regional networks’,‘Establishment of an operation⋅management monitoring system based on regional capabilities’and ‘Cultivation of professional manpower to strengthen regional capabilities’as the main independent functions of the regional support center. This is meaningful in that it proposes a plan to manage the overall matters of urban regeneration projects in the region through the suggestion of the role of the regional support center at a time when the selection, management, and evaluation of urban regeneration projects are shifted to the center of the metropolitan local government.

Since district level planning was introduced in Korea, the need to actively respond to such changes has emerged as city functions have become a complex, low-growth, and consumer-oriented society. Thus, this study tried to derive problems and improvements necessary to respond to changes in society in terms of placing an order, planning, and operating district level plans, and to create and maintain effective plans through an in-depth interview of related participants. The improvements derived through the research are, first, it is necessary to deviate from the engineering-centered system and the institutional support must precede on which experts in each field, second, the method of resident participation should deviate from the current formal way and secure active and diverse communication channels, third, in order to strengthen the competence of public officials, professionalism and efficiency must be improved through consistent work performance via the improvement of the rotational position system, fourth, management by a master planner should be carried out to consistently promote the operation of district level plans with the vision of the region.

To realize a city where local residents can live safer through women-friendly city policies we try to figure out the effect of policy Implementation. After policy enforcement we analyzed whether the crime fear and crime rate of residents changed. As a method of analysis Difference-in-Difference method is used the time range of research is from 2008 to 2018, and the spatial range is 17 gu of Seoul. Independent variables consist of population characteristics physical environments, social environmental characteristics regions dummy, periods dummy, and did dummy variables. The analysis found that in models that set fear of crime as a dependent variable, fear of crime among local residents decreased by about 9.3% in women-friendly city policies. In models that set crime rates as dependent variables, the change in the crime rate in the region due to policy appears not to be shown. The positive effect which the crime fear is reduced by implementing the policy in the viewpoint of safety promotion was confirmed. If the awareness of the residents increases in the future the effect will be more than doubled.
