About ‘Why Conserve?‘the answer is that it is many but, Michael Ross organizes this with three reasons. The first was the archeological/historical reason, the second was the artistic/aesthetic reason and thirdly it was the social reason. In addition to this, American Donovan D Rypkema insists the historic preservation the reason that the creates the economic profit. If it looked at in the American case, the historic preservation was contributed in vitalizing the local economy. This was proved through the research of the Donovan D Rypkema (2005). However, in our country, the research on the economic ripple effect of the Korean-style house maintenance policy is confined to the valuation methodology about the qualitative economic value.Therefore, this research tries to make the economical effect of the Korean-style house maintenance policy which is haven’t to be much still studied in the interior of a country public for the Bukchon region through the local input output analysis of interindustry relationships.

Public open space of building in the institutional aesthetic district is important components of streetscape. however it has legislated regulations, Ambiguous Management System has caused unplanned design and transformation of private space. This study, as part of the street landscape improvements to existing problems through census and survey, and subsequent improvements derived specifically set the direction for the improvement process is proposed. The problems and the improvement plans from this study is not applicable for the entire area but, have meanings of basic materials for the future development and founding of the area units.

The land was located in a large metropoitan area in the urban spatial structure ca have a decisive influence. In this study, to provide direction to take advantage of land area are familiar with the local governments have led, and through analysis of Local Self-Sufficiency to secure the necessary function in the proposed Land Utilization. Self-Sufficiency analysis sufficient urban setting indicators and statistics were compared with the Gyeonggi-province‘s average. Through this study, the city due to the movement of public institutions without losing the existing competitive, more competitive with sufficient city to take advantage of the site to be a common basis is presented.

This study focus on the role of culture in urban regeneration. Cultural Regeneration have been trend in urban development since 1970s in the western society. Despite of it’s success in regeneration, cultural regeneration schemes has a tendency to take more importance in economic goal. With globalization, post-modernism, serial reproduction of cultural regeneration schemes and extinction of sense of place has been prevalent. This problems are came from some aspectss of culture. In recent the notion of creative city, creative class make us reconsider the importance of culture, culture as environment, culture as everyday life.

Travel management is considered as an important policy to reduce energy consumption in a city. Previous studies to reduce this level have aimed at decreasing the Vehicle Kilometer Traveled (VKT) per passenger, through constructing jog-housing balance and shifting modes of transportation. However, previous literature suggested that when these two methods were applied in conjunction, the energy consumption levels would not decrease as projected. Thus the purpose of this study was to examine the changes in energy consumption by combining the difference in inner-travel ratio and public transit model in VKT per passenger using O/D data. The data was preliminarily clustered for an empirical study using the public transit modal split and inner-travel ratio, and a multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate the factors on the VKT by each cluster. The results showed a variance between each cluster. The results are significant in establishment of policies aimed at reducing the VKT per passenger by region.
