Recently, the need and awareness of Small-scale housing maintenance is increasing, and studies and cases of Urban block renewal project are also increasing. However, Urban block renewal project needs to be revised and supplemented because there are no successful cases. As a result, this study is necessary considering insufficient cases of research on Urban block renewal project and the environment of low-rise residential area in Incheon City. This study selects the site and derives blocks that meet the legal standards for the Urban block renewal project. After deriving the standards for the adequacy analysis, appropriate blocks are derived for the implementation of the Urban block renewal project by standards and sites. Finally, the feasibility of the derived blocks are presented. This process can be used for the direction and data of Urban block renewal project in the future.

Redevelopment rental housing is a public rental housing in which pre-sale housing and rental housing are supplied in the same complex through redevelopment projects. However, by artificially separating and segregating redeveloped rental housing within the complex, discrimination and social exclusion against rental housing residents are emerging as a social issue. Therefore, in this study, the factors that influence the characteristics of redevelopment rental housing on the residents' housing satisfaction were derived. As a result of the analysis, it was found that age, housing sale price per ㎡ per dong, apartment-separated type, construction age, number of rents, the degree of exchange with neighbors, and the experience of conflict affect housing satisfaction. In particular, it was confirmed that the housing satisfaction was high for the complex separated type among the mixed types of redeveloped rental housing. It was also confirmed that the separation of separate entrances and pedestrian traffic lines of the redeveloped rental housing affects housing satisfaction as a factor that hinders natural contact and exchange between residents.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the actual condition of the sidewalk-type frontage spaces of the apartment complex in Daegu and to find ways to improve them. As a result of the study, the followings are confirmed. The plans for the sidewalk-type frontage space are frequently carried out, but the concept is used without distinction from public pedestrian passage, and the public use right is secured passively. However, there is a risk of excessive infringement of property rights, and there is a possibility of conflict with the land owner in relation to public use rights. And it is also expected to be difficult to maintain because it is a private property. Therefore, this study proposes to divide the concept of the sidewalk-type frontage space and the public pedestrian passage, and to apply the regulations that match the characteristics of each. The local government should strengthen the establishment of public use rights in order to maintain its function, and the municipal ordinance should be amend so that compensation for contributed acceptance would be sufficient.

The urban regeneration project in a public competition supported the majungmul project(as CPR). Study area as ChangshinSungin is a sewing center industrial area with various stakeholders. In the analysis of this study, citizen participation without communication between stakeholders was found to be exclusion from governance and exclusion of residents, and this was reflected in the project results. The cause was that the conflict was difficult to mediate due to the passive attitude of the public-led field support center, and the resident council failed to form a consensus with the citizen (sewing workers), leading to the result of PIMFY. In order for ‘the public-led citizenparticipatory urban regeneration project’ to resolve conflicts well, the collaboration of stakeholders according to regional characteristics rather than performance should be the basis.

As a result of the continuous growth since the 1960s, many cities of the Republic of Korea are suffering from deterioration of the buildings. On account of the issue, current government designated Urban Regeneration New Deal as a national policy and expected to solve various urban issues, but, even with the 10 trillion won-budgets every year, the ability of housing supply is insignificant. To supplement current national policies and investigate for alternative project models, this paper conducted the following purposes. First, to confirm the needs of alternative project models, it conducted literature review about current states of urban improvement and urban regeneration projects. Second, it operated in-depth interview on the experts to derive conceptual models in order to integrate urban regeneration and urban improvement. Finally, it applied derived models on the designated project area. This study has significances that it suggested new integrated models of urban regeneration and urban improvement. Our findings will lead to provide another insight on potential alternatives to solve the issue of urban deterioration.

Ports are very important in Korea's topography. However, the decline of ports and hinterland is emerging as a big problem due to socio-economic changes. Therefore, the necessity of this study is raised from two aspects. First, it is to closely examine the current status and current issues of the port redevelopment project. Second, it examines the institutional necessity of urban regeneration, which is behind the decline along with ports. In this study, three strategies were presented against the background of successful port redevelopment and urban regeneration projects. First, the introduction of a comprehensive project management system that oversees the port redevelopment project and urban regeneration project from behind. Second, 4 specific ways to link the background area were presented. Finally, we present indicators and methodologies for estimating project performance.

This study aims to analyze changes in regional disparities from 2006 to 2015 and present policy implications based on the Urban Comprehensive Plan for Balanced Development for Busan Metropolitan City Urban Development. In the eastern region, indicators of the economic, social welfare, and living environment areas are high. The indicators of education and cultural leisure areas are relatively high in the central region. The western region has relatively high indicators of regional base, education, and transportation. First, there is a need to consider balanced urban development plans as intermediate between urban comprehensive plan and small urban plans. Secondly, the plan needs to be converted into a regional plan. The regional plan is an intermediate plan to reflect the long-term development plan of local governments. Thirdly, a monitoring system should be established for the progress and performance of balanced urban development plan.

The local government produces many policy researches for decision making in various fields of the city. This research aims to analyze policy researches of the local government for classify policy trend and feature of the local government. The analysis of policy research trends is based on keyword network analysis with phased process such as subject classification, network analysis, trend analysis, and implementation analysis. The case of analysis, Goyang city, has managed many research projects, which shows steadily enlarging budgets and number of researches. There are total of 243 researches has been finalized from 2011 to 2017. This paper is based on a practical research which helps to understand overall tendency of policy researches and managements on the local government. It would be value to propose a general process to analyze whole policy researches under the local government that helps to understand a trend of the local government policy and show an improvement direction of policy management and application.

Aging industrial complexes are industrial complexes that have existed for 20 years, and are demanded of a new role due to the recent changes in industrial structures. In addition, because their importance and share in industrial complexes is high, reorganization plans of developing these aging industrial complexes into new core hubs of industrial complexes have been continuously been carried out. Specifically, there is a need to determine if raising the resilience of these aging industrial complexes is important, as various factors affect employment of industrial complexes that are used for their intended purposes. There have been discussions of the employment of aging industrial complexes and the diversity of industrial structures, but there have been little research on the relation of employment of aging industrial complexes. This research will have significance as it will provide a fundamental reorganization and regeneration plan for aging industrial complexes, and will empirically verify the relation between the diversity of industrial structures of aging industrial complexes and employment. The results of this research are expected to be significantly utilized in determining a well-informed direction for future projects concerned with the regeneration of aging industrial complexes.

This paper is an analysis of the living SOC gap between urban and non-urban areas. The results of this paper are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the accessibility of living SOC facilities based on the proportion of population, the difference between urban and non-urban areas decreased compared to when only physical distance was measured, but there were still many facilities with large distances distributed in non-urban areas. Considering the demographic structure and proportion of non-urban areas, it was confirmed that accessibility to elderly leisure facilities and hospitals required alternative services. Second, in the case of indicators that can reflect the residential environment, water supply, sewerage, bus, and CCTV were all lower in non-urban areas than in urban areas, except for city gas. This also means that the residential environment of non-do areas is lower than that of urban areas, which means that policies to improve the residential environment are needed.
