We have a few acts for supporting the military base and the surroundings according to the U.S army and Korea army. There are so many differences between supporting systems for the area around the U.S base, Korea army base and military airports. In the acts for supporting the area around Korea army, we don't have support packages such as urban developmnet, urban infrastructure infill, community development, urban regeneration, simplification of administration system for the development and the exceptional clause against Seoul Metropolitan Area Readjustment Planning Act, which causes the unbalance problems. On the one hand, In the acts for supporting the area around us base, we don't have any supporting systems for the compensation for noise suffering around military shooting range. In this study, by the method of comparative analysis according to the type of the force and act, we point out the supplement of the exsiting legislations and suggest the Unification of legal system for the region around military facilities.

Minimum wage has been a contentious issue in South Korea. Recently the minimum wage standard rapidly increased as a part of response to sluggish wage growth and a diverging trend of economic inequality. Rapid increase of minimum wage raised concern on job displacement in the low-wage sectors. Particularly, the youth may be a vulnerable group to unintended effect of rapid increase of minimum wage. The study aims to identify the region-specific effect of minimum wage on youth employment at a provincial level in South Korea. Although the minimum wage of South Korea uniformly applied to all regions, we assume that the effect of minimum wage would differ from region to region because of different individual characteristics as well as regional labor market conditions. We employed the multi-level logit approach to take into account two levels of features. This analysis provided empirical findings about some region-varying responses to minimum wage change. The youth in non-metro provinces, female youth, and those with two-year college eduction attainment are more vulnerable to the negative effect of minimum wage.

In this study, to understand the migration factors of ‘Gentrifier’(the main agents of Gentrification), we conducted a survey of the resident in Namsan Trapalace and Yongsan Parkzai and analyzed their residence selecting factors. And also in this study, sample factors had been extracted through domestic and foreign advanced researches and questionnaires by residents and experts. And actual analysis was done through targeted residents questionnaires. As the results of the analysis, gentrifier’s residence selecting factors are life convenience in the community, financial values of house, locational benefit of downtown, convenience of commercial and cultural facilities, and distance between residence and workplace. Statistically, gentrifiers are well-educated and high-income professional workers at a high rate, in the same as shown in the foreign gentrifications. And also they show the characteristics of Korean gentrification that at a high rate, the household consists of more than two generations and the householder is in their 40’s to 60’s. Thus we can see the gentrifications in Seoul, and to use them as the policy means of inner city, it is suggested that the study of community character and diverse causes should be consistently conducted.

The purpose of this study is to analyse redevelopment tools for the improvement of agglomerated areas of small factories in urban region. The tools such as quasi-industrial zone and district unit plan are applicable based on the current legal system. On the basis of the empirical analysis, two meaningful results are derived. Therefore the strong support of the public administration for incentives is essential. Secondly, the reform of legislation of incentives is also important for enhencing the effectiveness of the redevelopment project. Finally, and the most important element is the will of the local government for the success of the project.
