Existing cleaning solvent using screen printing are the organic solvents including aromatic compounds carried with poisonous and stench. besides, Cleaning method of current screen printing are for the most part mixed cleaning method of dipping and polish. Using 1,1,1-TCE, CFC-113 alternative system cleaning solvent be substituted for existing cleaning solvent against screen printing ink measured the cleaning efficiency according to gravimetric analysis method and property change of gassamer according to Image Analyzer. Also, Cleaning process system carry with excellent cleaning efficiency studied which was proposed new cleaning process including ultrasonic cleaning process be substituted for existing mixed cleaning method of dipping and polish.

In DTP systems, satisfactory matching the appearance of displayed image on CRT and that of a reproduced binary image is very important. Most halftoning techniques assume that the printed color dots are square. However, most printers produce roughly circular dots. Thus, there is overlap between adjacent dots, and dots accupy adjcent space that should be empty space. These results are because the significant image distortion on the reproduced images. In this paper, we proposed a new tone correction digital halftoning method based on equi-visual perception characteristic.

This research was carried out to investigated the effect of base paper and latex binder on printability and obtical properties of coated paper. Especially, it examined the effect of th pH of vase paper surface and functional groups of latices on the interactions between coating color components and on the structure of coated layer. It was found that the behavior of coating color containing amphoeric latex depends on the pH in the boundary region between coating color and base paper. Thus, the coating color formulated with amphoteric latex formed bulky coating layer by inducing stronger interaction between paper surface and coating components than the coating color with anionic latex. The coated paper with amphoteric latex showed better optical properties (i.e.gloss and optical) and printability (i.e. ink receptivity, wet ink receptivity, and ink set off) than the conventional anionic latex in the acidic and alkaline paper. However, dry pick strength of the coated paper was less decreased. This result indicated that amphoteric latex could also be applied practically to the alkaline paper.

The reaction of 2,7-dihydroxynaphthalene with dimethylsulfate through many steps gave 2-(2,7-dimethoxy-1,8-naphthalimido)ethyl methacrylate (DMNIEM). polu(DMNIEM) was synthesized hy the radical polymerization of this monomer in dimethylformamide(DMF) using azobisisobutronitrile(AIBN) as a initiator at 60C. A color halftoning is the process of generating halftone images for the different color plans, for example, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black for a offset printing device. A conventional halftone technique, so called AM screening, is simple and easy to implement, but the halftoned dot patterns by using this method is not free for the moire` fringe. Moire` patterns are caused the power spectrum distribution on low spatial frequency domain. To avoid Moire` patterns, the conventional screen require the different screen angles for each color plans. Recently, Ultra-fine and 7 color printing methods are developed to expend the color gamut. In 7 color printing method must be used the halftone technique of random and blue noise characteristic to avoid Moire` fringe.

Positive type presensitized offset plate developer were blended by quantitative analysis method. The test had been proceeeded to check variation of developability, shelf life and tone reproduction by SiO2/Na2O ratio to PS plate developer, added glycerin, and sodium phosphate with glycerin. This study of tone reproduction had been tested 5 times to get accuracy by PS platesusing kodak CCG C-3, KMS. The test result of tone reproduction of presensitized offset plates can be summarized as follows ; major compositions in positive type plate developer were Na, Si, K and P, developability were increased by Sio2/NaO2 ratio in positive type plate developer. Shelf life can be kept by add glycerin to positive type plate developer. Tone reproduction were improved by sodium phosphate due to buffer action while shelf life can be kept by add glycerin in positive type plate developer.

The new algorithm for halftone generation for gravure engraving was developed. The basic concept of this algorithm is based on the mapping and equal density expansion methods that we are mapped out. The program was used by the Microsoft Visiul C++2.0 and could be loaded in IBM personal computer.

The ultraviolet(UV)-curable materials are widely used in inks and coatings. In this paper is designed to develop materials having flexibility and functionality with UV-curable acrylate monomer and alkyd resin. At first, phase diagram is prepared for miscibility of UV -curable acrylate monomer with alkyd resin. Also the gel fraction and dynamic viscosity are measured to curing speed of mixing system. In results, it has been demonstrated that miscibility and curing speed are greatly influenced by alkyd resin content.

Studies have been conducted to explore thermal imidization of polyamic acid. Aromatic polyimides are well recognized as high temperature linear polymers, and polyimide are used as structural materials, fibers, and adhesive. Two different kinds of polyimide were prepared by theimidization of polyamic acid which were synthesized from 2,2-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]- hexafluoropropane, 2,2-bis [4-(4-aminophenxy)phenyl] - hexamethylpropane and caprolactam and pyromelliti dianhydride under N-Methly-pyrrolidinone solvent. Polyamic acids were converted to polyimides containing imide bond by thermal imidization. The weight 50% loss temperatures of polyimide by TGA thermogram were recorded in the range of 700 ~ 720C in nitrogen gas. According, as a results, we conclued polyamic acid were cycliation after H2O molecule separationed, and this polyimide film could be used for Printed Circuit Boand.

Surface sizing is one of the important process to the paper making. Surface sizing had an effect on penetration of oils, physical propertiesm water resistance for the paper. This study was carried out for the purpose of improving printability with surface sizing of domestic newspaper. The samples were prepared by means of TAPPI method(TAPPI 205 om~88), and were wested by IGT printability tester. The results of this study showed that the set-off was reduced on the surface sized with oxidized starch.
