These experiment was conducted to find the superior strain selection, cultivation technique and optimum environmental condition of nameko mushroom culture using plastic container. The results was following as Mycelium of Pholiota nameko grown well at MCM and Hamada media, and its media acidity was pH 6~7. The optimum temperature condition for growing mycelium was 25℃ . Under 15℃ and above 30℃ of temperature condition, mycelium growing speed was delayed remarkably. Among the 29 strains of nameko mushroom, the most productive strains was JNM19007, JNM19026, JNM19027 and JNM19028. The optimum media composition rate for produce fruitbody was pine sawdust 80% + wheat bran 20%. In this condition, the average fruitbody amount was 188g per 1,100cc container. The optimum post-culturing period was 50 days and mushroom sprout appeared 7 days after old mycelia removed. The suitable temperature was 12℃ for induce sprout, growing period was 16℃ and the optimum relative humidity was 95% in all culturing periods.

This study was carried out to investigate the mycelial growth and density of Laos oyster mushroom treated straw, rice hull, mixture rate of straw and rice hull and beer wastes respectively. In case of straw 70%, rice hull 40%, 50%, straw and rice hull 4 : 6, soil type and yeast type of Laos beer wastes mixture, the mycelial growth and density are the best respectively.

This study was carried out to find out respiration characteristics of new variety of oyster mushroom to the temperature response. In new species of oyster mushroom, the account of respiration was on the increase when the growth temperature with the passage of growth stage was on the rise. The CO2 concentration was accelerated as increasing the growth temperature, whereas the O2 concentration was decreased. The account of respiration of new variety was in the descending order, Hukbaek>Jinmi>Chungpung>Suhan2>Chunchu2. Also, the ventilation exponent at 15℃ was Suhan2 2 ∼12%, Chungpung 9∼24%, Jinmi 15∼37%, Hukbaek 17∼39% in proportion to Chunchu2. The experiments related to respiration characteristics of new variety of oyster mushroom were worthy of recommending to new variety cultivator.

'Sunjung', a new variety of golden oyster mushroom was bred in Mushroom Research Institute, Gyeonggido Agricultural Research & Extension Services in 2006. This oyster mushroom was selected one which mate with monokaryon collected from KME20064 and KME20066. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was about 26 ∼28℃ and that for the primordia and growth of fruitbody was about 18∼23℃. Compared to the control which took 25 days of incubation period, Sunjung required 21∼22days. It grew primordia after developed a lump of mycelium. In the characteristics of fruit body, pileus was infundibuliform of yellow-color and stripe was slender/long shape of white color. The yield was 112.9g/850cc bottle and 275.5g/2kg P.P bag.

After bottle culture of Pleurotus eryngii, media were taken out the bottle and normally utilized compost. However, nutritional elements were remained in the waste media. This study was carried out to investigate the reusable possibility and the optimal additive rate of waste media in an artificial cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii. The pH had tendency to decrease as the waste media was added from 6.0 to 4.8. Based on the additive rate of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50%, each treatment waste media was added to new media for culturing Pleurotus eryngii. Among various treatments, the mycelial growth and primordia formation of Pleurotus eryngii were more favorable in the addition of 10-30% waste median than in the addition of 40 and 50%. The yield of its fruiting body was increased slightly in the treatment of 10-30% waste media.

This study was carried out to investigate the conditions of liquid culture and fruiting body formation of Cordyceps militaris using grain mediacontained the brown rice and black purple rice. Liquid mycelial growth and density of Cordyceps militaris were the highest in the medium of malt extract 0.7% and pH 5.0∼5.5. The optimal condition of formation the fruiting bodies were shown to be temperature of 17℃, light intensity of 600 lux, C02 of 500ppm and humidity intensity of 95% produced highest amount of fruit bodies.

Jeakdan', a new variety of pink oyster mushroom was bred in Mushroom Research Institute, Gyeonggido Agricultural Research & Extension Services in 2006. This pink oyster mushroom was selected one which cross with monokaryon collected from strain KME20063 and KME20193. The major characteristics of the mushroom were showed a lot of pinheadings, the pink-colored and infundibuliform pileus. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was around 26∼30℃ and that for the primordia and growth of fruitbody was around 18∼23℃. Primordia and young fruiting bodies were bright pink but become less intensely colored while the mushroom were mature. Incubation period was required about 20 days in bottle culture and 21 days in bag culture. Number of valid stipes was 31.5/850cc bottle and 47.0/2kg bag. The fruiting body yield was 134.5g/850cc bottle and 350.0g/2kg bag.
